OMGosh talk about a total blast!! It had been a few years since our last visit to the MNRF--pre youngest DS & he's almost 5 1/2!! The sites, sounds, smells, merchants, entertainment & you can't forget the food (the yummy delicious food!!) it is almost more than you can take in!! If you have never been to a Renaissance Festival & are given the chance you HAVE TO GO!!
This was the 37th year of the festival and it is one of the largest in the country. When you walk through the entrance it will take you back in time to the 16th century!! It is tucked away in a wooded area in Shakopee, MN on 22 acres, like a little hidden city from time passed. There is jousting, belly dancers, wenches, muses, gypsies, the royal court along with the king & queen, stockades and numerous street entertainment!!
This was also an extra special day because 8 years ago Eric & I went to the MNRF on our very 1st date!!
Here are some pictures from our day! I hope you enjoy!! *wink*

ReplyDeleteSo glad you had fun. The pics are great from your adventure. DH and I went to one of these years ago and had a riot. There are just no words to explain, you just have to experience it. The one we went to was in Wisconsin, but I can't remember the name of it...I'd have to look back through my scrapbooks :D
Wow, Heidi! Thanks for sharing those awesome pictures! I'm afraid your NM dot is going to get much bigger! I'll have to see that slide show again! :)
ReplyDeleteI too LOVE attending Renaissance Festivals. As a pre-teen and teen, my youth group leader would make all of us a new costume each year and we would go. SO much fun!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your new photo Heidi! Gorgeous and artsy at the same time! What took you so long? *grin*
Hello Heidi!
ReplyDeleteWOW the Renesance festival looked awesome (I know I hashed the spelling on that!) Awesome pictures! I just can't believe Evan is in KINDERGARTEN! WOW where does the time go??? I remember when he was born & Dusty was telling me his name was HEAVEN & when you corrected him he said "well...Heaven is better!" WOW...our babies are just not babies anymore! UGH!
I LOVE your Halloween & Sympathy cards! Your work always is awesome though! I will talk to you very soon!
