The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Cottage Rose Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a quick and easy card to share with you using some of the beautiful Cottage Rose papers from Kaisercraft.

Here is a look at the card.  I used a 5.5 x 5.5 gray card base and then I added a piece of pattern paper from the Cottage Rose 6-1/2'' Paper Pad from Kaisercraft.  I also added a piece of the May Arts 1.5" Lace Center Design - Black and May Art 1/4" Silk Ribbon by May Arts  around the center of the card.  The May Art 1/4" Silk Ribbon by May Arts is from the (NEW COLORS) - Bundle.  The sentiment and the rose die cut are both from the Cottage Rose Collectables.  I layered the sentiment and some of the gray cardstock and added some Therm-O-Web Foam Squares in between the layers for some dimension.

I added some sparkle to the die cut flower and tiny flowers on the pattern paper using  Zig - Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen and Ranger - Glossy Accents.

Here is a close up.

I also added some gems from the  Prima - Say It In Crystals Royal Menagerie.  These are so pretty and I love the colors.  They match perfectly with the pink in the paper.

Pink Ink Stamps - On the Boardwalk

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for Pink Ink Stamps and I have a fun summertime card to share with you using a couple of the Pink Ink Stamps.

To Start I stamped the On the Boardwalk image onto Strathmore Mixed Media paper with Ranger Jet Black Archival ink.  Then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to color all of the images. Some of the image were just colored with the pens and on some of them I did some blending of the color with water.  I used two different paint brushes for the blending--round 8 and liner 2.

After all of the images were colored then I did a little bit of shading at the bottom and I also colored the sky.  To achieve the look of clouds in the sky first I added the color and then I used a heat tool to speed up the drying time.  Next I added just plain water in the shape of a cloud in the sky.  I let the water sit for a few seconds and then I blotted the area with a paper towel.  Doing this pulled up the water in that area and leaving the appearance of a cloud.

I added some red and white twine and an ice cream cone charm which I thought would be a fun little embellishment and it worked perfectly for the summertime theme of the card.

I wanted to add some sparkle and dimension to the card so I went over some of the areas with the Zig Wink of Stella Clear Brush Pen.  Then I applied Glossy Accent to some of the images.  I also added the sentiment right under the boardwalk image.

I used two of the dies from the Tonic Studios Mixed Rectangles Layering Die Set to cut and emboss the two rectangle shapes.  I used scor-tape to apply white craft foam to the back of the image and give it a little dimension.  Then I adhered everything to a red A2 card base.

This is such a fun summertime image!  It would be great for a birthday card, a day at the carnival or just a fun summertime thinking of you card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you are enjoying your summer and staying cool!

Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Dahlia Watercolor Thinking of You Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I have a beautiful watercolor card with a touch of copper to share with you.

Anything with a touch of metallic is a really hot trend right now and I love the metallic gold but I have been seeing metallic copper popping up here and there with pattern papers and embellishments. So I decided to add a touch of metallic copper to my card and I have to say I am loving it!  The metallic copper looks so rich and it also adds a bit of sparkle.  For the floral images I used the Altenew - Dahlia Blooms Clear Stamps.  I stamped the flowers and leaves onto Ranger Watercolor paper with VersaMark ink.  Then I applied Ranger Super Fine Detail Copper Embossing Powder and used a heat tool to heat set and melt the powder.

I used the Altenew - Four Scoops (Cotton Candy), Red Cosmos (Coral Berry), Red Sunset (Crimson) to watercolor the flowers and I used Green Fields (Frayed LeafForest Glades) to color the leaves.  On both the flowers and leaves I started with adding water to the images and then applied the lightest color and then I used a heat tool to dry the paper.  I repeated this process for each color by applying water and then the color--going darker with each layer.  I just dropped the color in to each petal and then the water move the colors.

I also stamped, embossed, and watercolor another flower and a couple of leaves on a separate piece of paper.  Then I used the Altenew - Dahlia Blooms Die to die cut the shape.  I stamped and embossed a sentiment from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Blessings/Beatitudes 2 stamp set.  Then I used the Spellbinders - Labels Thirty-Four to die cut the sentiment.  I added some May Arts 1.5" Metallic Copper Crochet Lace across the middle of the card and then I used Therm-O-Web Foam Squares to add the layers of die cuts.  I also added some Copper Metallic String.  You can see some of the loops from the string under the flower and leaves.

I also added a bit more of the metallic gold using the DecoArt Metallic Lustre - Copper Kettle.  I put a small amount of the DecoArt Metallic Lustre - Copper Kettle on the lid of the container and then I added some water and then I made the little splatters on the background paper.  If you add the lustre to the inside of the lid it can just dry on there and then you don't waste any--just add a little more water next time.

I used Scor-Tape to adhere the card front to a top folding A2 card base.
I hope you enjoy today's card!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Vintage Rose and Friends Tea Cup Card

Hello everyone!  Today is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Here is a look at the card I designed.  There is a little bit of stamping but mostly die cutting.  Sometimes it can be kind of fun to use several different die from different companies and mix and match them to see what you can come up with.  To create the roses I used white cardstock and stamped the images using the Altenew - Vintage Rose stamp set and  Altenew - Vintage Rose die set.  I used a combination of inks from Altenew - Four Scoops (Cotton Candy, Peach Perfect) amd Memento - Angel Pink and Rhubarb Stalk.  For the leaves I used Memento - New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves.  To stamp the sentiment I used the JustRite Papercraft - Choose Joy stamp set.

Here is a close up of the roses and the sentiment.  I used the Zig Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to add some sparkle and shimmer to the roses and also around the edges of the pink oval.  To create the oval and frame die cuts I used the JustRite Papercraft - Hope Oval Frame Dies.

Here is a close up of the tea cup.  I used a pearl white paper and the Marianne Designs - Die - Coffee Cup, Saucer & Spoon die set,

To finish off the card I added a few Melissa Frances - White Pearls.

I hope you enjoyed the card I shared today.  Hope you have a wonderful and creative weekend!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Altenew Painted Flower Birthday Wishes Card

Hello blogging friends!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I have a pretty quick and easy card to share with you.

Here is a look at the card I designed.  I used VersaMark ink and Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder to stamp and emboss one of the sentiments from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - SS-Sent003 Birthday Blessings.  Next, I used the Perfect Peach and Cotton Candy inks from the Altenew - Four Scoops ink collection to stamp the flowers from the Altenew - Painted Flowers clear stamp set.  For the leaves I used Memento - New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves.  Then I used VersaMark ink and Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder to stamp and emboss the outline of the flowers and also the smaller leaf and flower stamps.  I used a q-tip to add some ink to the tiny little flowers.

Here is a close up of the flowers.  I used DecoArt - Metallic Lustre Gold Rush to add the gold droplets.  To do this I scoop out a small amount of the lustre and put it either on a craft mat of the inside of the lid to the container and then I add water.  I have it wet enough that I can pick up a good amount with a paint brush and then I just tap the brush to get the droplets and then I set it aside to dry.

To finish off the card front I inked around the edges with Memento - New Sprout ink.  Then I added a few Melissa Frances White Pearls.  I used Therm-O-Web Foam Squares to add some dimension to the layers.  The finished card is an A2 landscape sized card.

Thanks so much for joining me today!  I hope you have a wonderful and creative weekend!
