Spellbinders Layout - Bliss -VIP Scrapbook in Rochester

Hello! Today, I have a layout to share with you that was part of a make-n-take I did a couple of weeks ago at VIP Scrapbook in Rochester. For the make-n-take I shared how you can take the Grand Dies from Spellbinders™ and create frames and journaling blocks for your layouts.I have to say a huge Thank You to my cousin Dani for letting me use the photos of her sweet little girl!! This layout is a very simple one compared to the layouts I usually create but I was going for simplicity and I wanted the frames to be the main focus of the layout in addition to the sweet photos. To create the largest frame I used LF-168 Grand Large Labels #3 and #5.I taped the two die templates together and used the Grand Calibur™ to cut/emboss the two pieces. Next I took the drop out piece from the large frame and taped three die templates together to create the smaller frame. I used LF-168 Grand Large Labels #1 and S4-168 Large Labels #2 and #3. Then I used the Grand Calibur™ to cut/emboss all the pieces. Here are the results three frames and two pieces that could be used as journal blocks, mats for photos or as an embellishment. I didn't use all of the pieces on the layout but I wanted to show how easy it is to create perfect looking frames using the Grand Dies from Spellbinders™.I used chipboard letters from My Mind's Eye Lush Line and added Green Stickles and added them to a label. To create the label I used S4-309 Labels Four Small #5. For the butterflies I used S5-051 Fanciful Flight. For a finishing touch I added diamond stickles to the butterflies and some of the images on the paper. I also added some green lace trim and yellow pom pom trim to the bottom.

Supplies
Paper: LYB Elizabeth Park, Yellow, Lavender
Dies: SpellbindersGrand Calibur™, LF-168 Grand Large Labels #1, #3, #5, S4-168 Large Labels #2, #3, S4-309 Labels Four Small #5, S5-051 Fanciful Flight

Crafty Secrets Birthday Blessings Poppy Card

Good morning! Today, I have a card to share with you using some of the stamp sets from Crafty Secrets. I am so happy with how that card turned out and I love the image of the poppies. I used three stamp sets from Crafty Secrets, Poppy for the flower image, Artsy Banner for the script background and lacy trim and Angel Blessings for the sentiment. To start I stamped the image of the Poppies from the Poppy stamp set on to Simply Smooth Ivory from Discount Cardstock using Rich Cocoa Ink. I added the color using three shades of red Copic Markers. Do you see the red mark above the top flower? Yep, dropped the marker right after I finished coloring the flowers! I hate when stuff like that happens!! But I really liked how the flowers were turning out and I didn't want to have to scrap it so I covered it up. ;-) Next I added color to the leaves and stems using Copic markers.I inked the edges of the paper with Spiced Marmalade and Dried Marigold Distress Inks from Ranger. I added the script stamp from Artsy Banner to the background. I wasn't really worried about the script showing up on the leaves but I didn't want it on the flowers so I created a mask for the flowers.Remember the red spot from dropping the marker? Covering it up with the little dragonfly did the trick. ;-) I used the Birthday Blessings stamp from Angel Blessings for the sentiment with Tuxedo Black Ink. I also added three Black Pearls from Want2Scrap in the upper corner. The lacy trim stamp is from Artsy Banner.
Supplies
Stamps: Crafty Secrets Poppy, Artsy Banner, Angel Blessings
Paper: Discount Cardstock Simply Smooth Ivory, Berry Red Double Mates, Soot
Ink: Tsukineko Memento Rich Cocoa, Tuxedo Black; Ranger Antique Linen, Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold Distress Inks; Copic Markers
Accessories: Want2Scrap Black Pearls; Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares
