Crafty Secrets Fairy Tag

Hello blogging friends!
I have a quick post for today and a tag to share with you using the New CD Creating With Vintage Illustrations from Crafty Secrets.

I love the image of this fairy!

All of the coloring was done using Copic markers. I also added Turquoise Baby Bling

I added a Butterfly and a small piece of Finesse Swirls White Pearl from Want2Scrap.

I added a little more color to the top of the tag with Copic markers and some sparkle with more glitter. To finish off the top of the tag I added some vintage lace trim, twine, tulle, ribbon, a paper flower and a crystal.

Please be sure to check out all of the fantastic samples by the Crafty Secrets DT on the Heartwarming Vintage Blog and also on their own personal blogs using the New CD Creating With Vintage Illustrations!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. It's chilly outside but the sun is shinning. I am feeling pretty good today and it's a beautiful day--I hope you have a beautiful day too!!

Heidi

Thank You!! - Crafty Secrets CD #2 - Little Birdie Tag

Good morning blogging friends! Before I get started with my projects today (yes, I have some artwork to share!) I want to say a HUGE Thank You to all of you for all of the wonderful comments, emails and phone calls!! Thank you for all of your thoughts, prayers, links, information about books, home remedies and all of your support!!! It means SO much to me!!! I haven't been on the computer much the past several days, I have just been taking it easy and trying to relax and feel better but I have been reading through all of your wonderful emails. Thank You!! Thank You!! THANK YOU!!!!!

I also want to say I guess I was kind of surprised with all the emails from people who also have RA (in the crafting industry), or friends and family who suffer from RA and other diseases that are similar. I want you to know that I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Yesterday, I was feeling a little better so last night I sat down to do a little creating. Luckily the past few weeks I was working ahead on several projects so I will still be able to have artwork to post while I am working on feeling better and getting my medication regulated.

Sandy from Crafty Secrets made some Big Announcements yesterday on the Heartwarming Vintage Blog! She is releasing a second CD, Creating With Vintage Illustrations. You can pre-order the CD or it will be available for Black Friday.

The CD is filled with over 200 files and let me tell you the images are Beautiful!! All this week the Crafty Secrets DT will be sharing projects made using the New CD on their blogs. Sandy also has another great announcement so be sure to click HERE for all of the details.

I think the best thing about having digital images is that you have so many choices--and we all LOVE to have choices, right? LOL! Here is one of the projects I made using an image from the New CD2 Creating With Vintage Illustrations.

This sweet little birdie image is in black and white and prefect for coloring. I tried something new, well it's not new but it is new to me. ;-) I have had a set of Prisma colored pencils for almost two and have never really used them. My dear sweet friend, Linda Duke has been telling me (Forever) that I really need to try the Prisma colored pencils. She told me I would love them, but I just kept putting if off. I guess I was thinking that it would be a lot like the watercolor pencils and even through I like the watercolor pencils it always seemed like I really, really had to work to get the colors to blend the way I wanted them. Well, yesterday I went to Linda's blog and she had the most Gorgeous card posted and she colored it with Prisma colored pencils so I thought I just have to give this a try--LOL! I think Linda is the queen of Prisma colored pencils!! Linda, if you read this I hope you are proud of me. ;-)

I printed the image on Simply Smooth Ivory from Discount Cardstock. Then I used a pointed q-tip and baby oil to do the blending and I was very happily surprised at how easy the colors blend. Now I am going to want all the colors!!

I layered the colored image on to a piece of Posh Milk Chocolate Felt from Discount Cardstock and then embellished the tag. The ribbon is from the Shimmer Satin Bright Assortment and I also used Penelope Natural Crochet Lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I also added a vintage button at the top.

Along the bottom I added Gold Leaf trim from RRR and 2-Tone Baby Pink Sweetheart Blossom, 5/8'' Baby Pink Open Roses, 1/8'' Burgundy Closed Rose Buds from Wild Orchid Crafts. I just received my first order from Wild Orchid Crafts and I LOVE their products!!

I also added a few tiny green leaves from I Am Roses to mix in with the gold leaf trim and paper flowers.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day and things don't get too crazy for everyone trying to get ready for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

JustRite Stampers - New Releases for May - Sending You Sunshine

Good morning! Today I have another New Release called Sending You Sunshine from JustRite Stampers to share with you. Instead of making a card I made a tag for Mother's Day. This would be a nice little tag to add to a gift.I started by stamping the image on to Simply Smooth White cardstock from Discount Cardstock using Rich Cocoa Memento ink. Then I added color to the flowers using Copic markers.Next I colored the leaves. Then the background around the flowers. The last part to be colored was the flower pot. Here is a close up of the image and sentiment. To create all of the diecut pieces I used the Grand Calibur™ and S4-290 Labels Fourteen #5, S4-114 Standard Circles Large #4, S4-293 Lacey Circles #4. On the labels diecut I added Nestabling™ Labels Fourteen Hot Pink and 72 Count-Light Green Rhinestones to the flowers. All of the Bling is from Want2Scrap™.To create this beautiful little flower I used S5-049 Carnation Creation with hot pink tissue paper and I used Zip Dry™ from Beacon Adhesives™ to layer the flower. Then I scrunched it up a little and added a green rhinestone to the center.

Crafty Secrets and Tattered Angels Blessings Tag -- Crafty Supply Sale

Good Afternoon! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I had a Fantastic weekend with the girls! We had to have a little change of plans due to the weather but it was still all good--lots of creating, good times, lots of laughs and great food!!

Before I share today's project I want to let all of the local ladies know that I am having a Craft Supply Sale this coming Friday & Saturday (19th & 20th). I have stamps, paper, embellishments, stickers, rub-ons and many more items from various companies. If you would like more details please email me for the address and times at: Floralfantasty@charter.net

Today, I have a decorative tag to share with you.
The beautiful image of the bird with the roses is from Crafty Secrets Little Blessings Creative Scraps. I think this is one of my favorite images on the Creative Scraps sheet! I also used several products from Tattered Angels including Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glam, Glimmer Screens and Glimmer Glass.I started by using the Glimmer Screen (corner flourish) as a stamp. I brushed Chandelier Glimmer Glam on to the screen and then placed the screen on top of the tag to transfer the Glimmer Glam and then heat set to dry. The Glimmer Glam created a resit on the paper and then I added the different colors of Glimmer Mist. Once the background was done on the tag then I added all of the embellishments. I added the lace, then the blessings image and then the flower and buttons. I added the Glimmer Glass on the side with pearls from Prima. Here is a close up.I also added another piece of Glimmer Glass to the top of the tag and some vintage trim.

Supplies
Paper: WorldWin White
Accessories: Crafty Secrets Little Blessings Creative Scraps; Tattered Angels Popsicle, Waterslide, Sweet Clover, Tutti Fruitti, Patina Glimmer Mist, Cotton Candy Chalkboard Glimmer Mist, Chandelier Glimmer Glam.
