Flourishes & Spellbinders Blog Hop

We don’t need to tell you that tags and labels are two of the trendiest items to hit the card making market in a long time! And, to help you add style and pizzazz to your creations, Flourishes has teamed up with Spellbinders Paper Arts to make sure you have the perfect set of stamps to match a darling set of tag style dies. Wonderfully whimsical and reminiscent of Grandma’s calico prints, Flourishes “charming” set offers three labels that coordinate perfectly with Spellbinders Grommet Tags (S4-322). Designed by Becky Fleck, you'll also find 6 beautiful sentiments and 4 accent stamps to dress up your labels! Pair that with Flourishes Country Charm Borders and you have the perfect set to make darling note cards in minutes. Flourishes coordinating Country Charm Borders set features five border strips that match the labels set to a tee. What fun!

Because Flourishes knew this set was a match made in heaven with Spellbinder's Grommet Tags, both design teams are joining forces for a fun-filled show and tell blog hop! Make sure to hop on over and see the amazing project's created by the Designers linked below.

**Just a quick note to pass on--Blogger was having some issues yesterday and today and was down for several hours so some of us designers are joining in late for the blog hop. Please be sure to check back with each designer so you don't miss any of their beautiful design they created to share. ;-)

Using both Country Charms Labels and Country Charms Borders from Flourishes and S4-322 Grommet Tags from Spellbinders™ I designed a pretty Spring card to share with you. I love the sentiments in the Country Charms Labels stamp set! For the sentiment I used Tuxedo Black ink and for the tag stamp I used Spring Pansy Ink. Then I used the Grand Calibur™ and S4-322 Grommet Tags to cut/emboss the tag shape. I used S5-025 Labels Seventeen to create the fancy label shape for the background. I created little tissue paper flowers for embellishments using S4-312 Blossom Three die template from Spellbinders™. I added a Purple Rhinestone to the center from Want2Scrap™ and edged the flowers with Diamond Stickles.I added Swirls, Finesse Silver Rhinestones and 72 Count - Purple Rhinestones from Want2Scrap™ and some hand tinted seam binding for a bow.I used one of the borders from Country Charms Borders stamp set along the top and bottom of the card with Spring Pansy Ink.

Spellbinders™ Paper Arts Blog

Here is the card that I designed using the NEW Release Beauty Within from Flourishes. Talk about an absolutely BEAUTIFUL stamp set!! The images of the roses and iris are so pretty and the sentiments are fantastic too! I started by stamping the image of the stained glass roses onto white cardstock using black ink. This image matches perfectly with Labels Eleven S4-246 (Die #5) die template from Spellbinders™. Then I lined up the die template with the stamped image and used some tape to hold the template in place. I cut/embossed with the Wizard™ creating an elegant diecut shape. Next I colored the image using Copic markers. In the picture you can see I didn't color and do all of the shading in the center of all of the roses. I left some of them because I stamped the image of the roses a couple more times, colored the centers and cut then out for layering. Once I had all of the piece colored and cut out then I layered them and applied Glossy Accents from Ranger.I used the Wizard™ and Labels Eleven S4-246 Die #6 from Spellbinders™ to create a black mat and Floral Accent S4-199 to create white flourishes along the sides and I also added some tiny pearls.I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and then cut/embossed using the Wizard™ and Fancy Tags S4-235 die template from Spellbinders™. I added some dimension to the tag using 3D Foam Squares from SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES By 3L™ and then I added some pink velvet ribbon and pearls. I also stamped the image of the smaller rose from the Beauty Within stamp set, colored with Copics, cut out the image and added it to the tag. Here is a close-up of the roses. I love the look that is achieved by layering the rose petals.I also used the Flourish Impressabilities™ I2-1009 on the pink shimmer paper.
