ButterBeeScraps - Queen Tassel Necklace

Hello everyone!  Today, I am guest designing for ButterBeeScraps and I have a jewelry project to share with you.

I designed this necklace using one of the beautiful Bronze Round Metal Filigree Embellishments 744-B.  If you are new to jewelry making this is a very easy necklace to create.

I used one of the Small Round Glass Cabochons CAB018 and glossy accents to adhere a pretty digital image from ArtCult that I printed out.  Then, I glued the cabochon inside of the Small Bronze Round Cabochon Setting F018D-B.  Next, I used E6000 to adhere the cabochon setting to the Bronze Round Metal Filigree Embellishments 744-B.

The cabochon setting fits perfectly in the center of the round metal filigree.

I used glossy accents to adhere the SS20 Light Colorado Topaz Flat Back Glass Rhinestones and SS12 Light Colorado Topaz Flat Back Glass Rhinestones around the outside of the filigree.

To create the tassel I used different lengths of Textured Bronze Cable Chain (#CH521-B) and with jump rings I added the pieces of chain to the bottom of the filigree.  Then, I wire wrapped some tiny gold glass bicone beads and attached one on each of the bottom pieces of chain.

To finish off the necklace I added more bronze chain and jump rings with a lobster clasp.

ButterBeeScraps - Gold and Bronze Leaf Necklace

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all staying warm with this crazy winter weather that has been going on for the last week or so.  Just the other day I heard on the radio that the state of Florida was the only state that didn't have snow!  

Today, I am excited to bring you another guest designer post for ButterBeeScraps.  I love being able to use all of the beautiful metal filigree pieces to create jewelry.

Here is a look at the necklace I designed.  I mixed the metals for this necklace using gold and bronze.  I used the Gold Leaf Metal Filigree Embellishment 672-G for the larger leaf and Bronze Leaf Metal Filigree Embellishments 670-B for the smaller bronze leaves.  The leaves are very pretty and I love the simplicity of them.

I used gold chain and jump rings to dangle the smaller bronze leaves and a wire wrapped beaded dangle.

To create the wire wrapped beaded dangle I used a Bronze Ball End Head Pins, Clear Rhinestone and Gold Rondelle Spacer Beads 8mm BD008-G/CL, Gold Filigree Bead Caps CAP857-G, a large Jesse James Bead, and a Topaz AB Bead.  The gold bead caps are so pretty.

I also added a couple of wire wrapped beaded spacers to the necklace.  I used all of the same supplies that were used to create the wire wrapped beaded dangle except for the bronze wire.

To finish off the necklace I added a couple more of the small bronze leaves.

The necklace is actually longer than what is shown in the pictures.  I pinned the necklace up on the necklace form to be able to get better photos of it.  The necklace is about 30". This would be a great jewelry piece to create for beginners.

Pink Rose & Crystal Cross Necklace and Earrings - Guest DT for ButterBeeScraps

Hello everyone!  Today, I am very excited to tell you that I am a Guest Designer for ButterBeeScaps.  I love using all of the beautiful metal filigrees, rhinestones, and jewelry findings to create jewelry.  So when Monique, owner of ButterBeeScraps, asked me if I would like to guest design I was happy to say yes! :)

Here is a look at the goodies I received.  I have been having so much fun creating with these beautiful pieces and I have several ideas already sketched out for future projects.

This is the pink rose and crystal cross necklace and earring set I created.  To start I added glossy accents to the floral image and then placed a Small Round GLASS Cabochons (#CAB018) on top and moved it around until I had it centered on the image.  Then, I set the piece aside to dry for a few minutes.  Once the piece was dry I turned it over to the back side and fussy cut the excess of the image from the cabochon.  Next, I added glossy accents to the back of the glass cabochon and placed it inside of the Small Bronze Round Cabochon Settings (#F018D-B).  

I used E6000 to adhere the cabochon setting to the Bronze Decorative Cross Pendants (#J397-B).  This is such a pretty cross and it has a lot of detail.  To finish off the cross I added some SS16 Light Rose Flat Back Glass Rhinestones.  I added a couple of jump rings to the cross and then I added some chain and beaded spacers.

Here is a close up of the beaded spacers.  I used powder pink crystal beads and darker pink beads along with the Clear Rhinestone and Bronze Rondelle Spacer Beads – 6mm (#BD006-B/CL).  I thought the beaded spacers were pretty and would dress up the chain.

To create the earrings I used some of the Bronze Ball End Head Pins, Clear Rhinestone and Bronze Rondelle Spacer Beads – 6mm (#BD006-B/CL), and the same beads that were used for the necklace.  I also used the Bronze Ball End Head Pins along with the 1-Step Ear Wire Maker Tool to make the ear wires.

ButterBeeScraps - Butterfly Beaded Dangle Necklaces

Hello everyone!  Today, I have some pretty butterfly beaded dangle necklaces to share with you.  

I designed three butterfly dangle necklaces that are all very similar in style--just different colors and a few different beads.  I used BRONZE BUTTERFLY METAL FILIGREE EMBELLISHMENT (#638-B).  I used a metal hole punch to create the holes at the top and bottom of the butterflies.  All of the butterflies were bronze and then I applied Krylon White Flat Spray Paint.  I used Steel Wool (#0000) to buff off some of the paint to reveal the metal.  Once I achieved the desired look then I sealed each piece with Krylon Crystal Clear Sealer.  

Here is a close up of the pink butterfly dangle necklace.  For this necklace I used BRONZE BUTTERFLY METAL FILIGREE EMBELLISHMENT (#638-B) and I added SS16 LIGHT ROSE FLAT BACK GLASS RHINESTONES, S12 LIGHT ROSE FLAT BACK GLASS RHINESTONES for the body of the butterfly.  For the beaded dangle I used BRONZE BALL END HEAD PINS, BRONZE FILIGREE BEAD CAPS (#CAP046-B), 6X8MM ROSE PINK PEARLIZED FACETED GLASS ABACUS BEADS, and 4X6MM ROSE PINK PEARLIZED FACETED GLASS ABACUS BEADS.  I also used a couple bronze flower spacers beads from my own stash.

Here is a close up.  For this necklace I used the same bronze butterfly and then I applied SS16 CLEAR AB FLAT BACK CRYSTAL RHINESTONES, SS12 CLEAR AB FLAT BACK CRYSTAL RHINESTONES for the body of the butterfly.  To create the dangle I used BRONZE BALL END HEAD PINS, CLEAR RHINESTONE AND BRONZE RONDELLE SPACER BEADS – 6MM (#BD006-B/CL), BRONZE FILIGREE BEAD CAPS (#CAP052-B), 8X12MM CLEAR AB FACETED GLASS TEARDROP BEADS, and 4X6MM CLEAR AB FACETED GLASS ABACUS BEADS.

Here is a close up.  For this last necklace I used the bronze butterfly and then added SS16 AQUAMARINE FLAT BACK GLASS RHINESTONES, SS12 AQUAMARINE FLAT BACK GLASS RHINESTONES for the body of the butterfly.  To create the dangle I used CLEAR RHINESTONE AND BRONZE RONDELLE SPACER BEADS – 6MM (#BD006-B/CL), BRONZE BALL END HEAD PINS, and BRONZE FILIGREE BEAD CAPS (#CAP052-B).  I also used a Aqua Tear Drop Bead and Aqua Seed Beads from my own stash.

Blue Frost and Crystal Beaded Jewel Loom Bracelet

Hello everyone!  Today, I have a beautiful bracelet to share with you using the Jewel Loom™ by Julianna C Hudgins from Beadalon® and gorgeous crystals and beads from Connie Crystal™.

To create the bracelet, I use 4 strands of  Artistic Wire® 22 Ga Non Tarnish Silver for the warp threads on the Jewel Loom™.  I used Light Blue Frosted Round Beads and Sapphire Round Crystals to weaved 37 rows using the WildFire ™ Frost Weaving Thread.  Next I added the  Suncatcher Mixed Media Blue Theme crystals and beads to the center and wire wrapped to attach them to the bracelet and hold in place.    Then I removed the bracelet band from the loom and made loops on the end of each wire.  I connected the wires with jump rings and added a clasp.  I also added some SS16 Clear Flat Back Crystals from ButterBeeScraps.

For tools I used the  Jewel Loom™ by Julianna C Hudgins, Flush Cutter and a Round Nose Pliers from Beadalon®.

Love all of the sparkle from these gorgeous crystals!

Spellbinders Design-abilities Blog Hop - Chandelier Pearl and Crystal Necklace

It’s that time again, for the Spellbinders® Blog Team to do the Design-abilites Blog Hop.  We want to share some fun, and creative projects with you. I have to tell you I am loving the New A Gilded Life Collections from Spellbinders Paper Arts®!  I love to make jewelry and chunky charms and the bezels from this collections are so beautiful.  If you don't make jewelry these bezels would still be great embellishments on your cards, scrapbook layouts or to add on to your DIY home decor projects--so many possibilities!  Here is a necklace that I designed using the GLLB-004G Large Chandelier Bezel - Bronze by:  A Gilded Life.  One of the things I love about these bezels is that they come with a clear plexiglass cover so you can fill the bezels with beads, glitter, charms, found objects, ephemera paper, bling and fabrics just to name a few.  This allows you to create your very own unique and personalized bezel.  

On the outside of the bezel I applied some Patina Rub-N-Buff to give it more of a vintage look.  For the inside of the bezel I die cut a piece of printed burlap using GLD-004 Chandelier Die.  Then I used some liquid adhesive to adhere the burlap inside the bezel.  Next I added some Silver German Glass Glitter, Swarovski AB Flat Back Crystals, Pearls and a Key to the inside of the bezel.  I used more liquid adhesive to add the clear plexiglass cover and then set it aside to dry.

Here is a close up of all the little goodies inside the bezel.  I also added a few more of the Swarovski AB Flat Back Crystals to the outside of the bezel.

I created some bead dangles to hang from the bottom of the bezel.  I used Bead Cap CAP114-B, Bead Cap CAP052-B, Bronze Jump Rings from ButterBeeScraps and for the beads I used Pearls, Crystal Teardrop Bead, Round Crystal Bead, Aqua/Brown AB Round Bead.

Once the bezel was done then I added it to Bronze Chain CH206-B from ButterBeeScraps.

Spellbinders Springtime Shipping Frenzy - Day # 4

To start I stamped the floral image from CR-04835 Black Eyed Susan Vintage Labels Five Clear Stamps from JustRite® Papercraft using Memento Rich Cocoa ink from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir™ Markers.  Then I used the Grand Calibur® Machine and S5-208 Majestic Labels Eight die template to cut/emboss the label shape.

Next I used the T-001 Tool 'n One tool to remove the die cut and all the tiny drop out pieces from the die template.  The T-001 Tool 'n One is a portable tool that performs multiple craft functions, including piercing, paper removal and many more! It's so quick and easy to use.

Here is a look at the die cut once it was removed from the die template.  

Next I stamped the sentiment and inked the edges of the die template with Antique Linen Distress ink.

Now it's time to create the daisy!  To create the daisy run the petal die template from the S2-062 Create A Daisy set through the Grand Calibur® Machine 10 times.  For the center part you will need to run that die template through 2 times.  You will need to run the disc floret through 5 times (only one shown in the photo).  I used a light yellow cardstock to die cut all of the pieces.  For the inside part of the flower and one disc floret I used spiced marmalade and vintage photo Distress Inks.  I used wild honey Distress Ink on all of the petals applying  from the inside and fading out to the tip.  I used the stylus to shape the center parts of the flower.

Next I shaped (curled) all of the petals using the end of a paint brush.  I used the larger paint brush handle for the larger petals and the smaller one for the smaller petals.  Then I glued the petals to the disc florets.  On the first disc floret adhere 2 layers of the largest petals.  The second layer should be offset from the first one.  Then adhere the next size of the petals to the disc florets going down to the smallest.  These will all have one layer of the petals.  Next shape the two smallest sets of petals.  Place each petal inside the round nose pliers and push the sides of the petal up.  

This is what the layers of the flower should look like once all the petals are glued in place.  For the center glue the pieces on to the disc floret starting from the outside and working your way to the center.  Cut and emboss three of the leaves.

Stack and glue all of the layers together and this is what the finished daisy will look like. 

These are a couple of close up pictures of the card front and the daisy.

Assemble the card as shown.  I used 3D Foam Squares and E-Z Runner Permanent Strips-Refillable Dispenser 49' from Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L™ to adhere all of the pieces.  Then to finish off the card I added some pearls to the corners.

For my second project I altered a small pink gift box using the same die templates.

Here is a close up of the daisy.  I used the same light yellow cardstock as I did on the first project but I used different colors of ink and it totally changed the look.
