Spellbinders and Core’dinations Blog Swap! Day 1

Welcome to the Spellbinders and Core’dinations Blog Swap!

This week Spellbinders™ has teamed up with Core’dinations Color Core
Cardstock® to showcase the wonderful ways our products work together!

Hello blogging friends! Today, I have a card to share with you using three different collections from Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock.

I used the BasicGrey Collection Whimsy for the card base, pink embossed mat piece, brown ironwork die cut. For the flower I used the pink side of the Chocolate Box Collection (brown/pink) and the white with the stamped images is from the Super Assortment.

I sanded the pink embossed cardstock from the BasicGrey Collection Whimsy and then I used the Distrezz-it-All tool to distress the edges. Then I stamped the image on to the white cardstock using Rich Cocoa ink. The stamps are from JustRite Stampers Cling CL-02185 Bon Voyage and CL-02195 Greetings From Paris. I used LF-002 Creative Book Pages Two and S4-348 Postage Stamp to create the die cuts and I inked the edges using Ranger Bundled Sage, Antique Linen, Victorian Velvet Distress Inks. Then I inked the edges again with Rich Cocoa.

Here is a close up of the postage stamp. I used Glue Gloss and added Pralines & Cream Fairy Dust Glitter from Clearsnap to the stamp and seam binding bow.

To create the flower I used the pink side of the Chocolate Box Collection (brown/pink) and S5-050 Rose Creations die templates from Spellbinders. I shaped the petals, then glued the layers together and added a button from My Mind's Eye and a White Pearl from Want2Scrap™ to the center of the flower and edged the flower with glitter. I used S5-059 Ironwork Motif and BasicGrey Collection Whimsy to create the accent die cut.

For a finishing touch I added some Finesse Swirls Brown Rhinestones and 72 Count White Pearls from Want2Scrap.

~Ok now for all of the details.~

JustRite Stampers - JustRite Cling - Adorable Dragon Valentine's Day Card

Hello! How is everyone in blog land today? I can't believe Valentine's Day is just around the corner! Today, I have a Valentine's Day card to share with you featuring a cute little girly dragon. ;-) I originally started out with the hopes of a boy dragon but the more I colored the more SHE came to life--LOL! Oh, and then I added some glitter and what can I say--she's a cute little girly dragon.I started by stamping the image of the dragon on to Simply Smooth White cardstock using Rich Cocoa ink. The image of the dragon is from the JustRite Cling stamp set from JustRite Stampers CL-02060 Adorable Dragon. This stamp set includes four images and seven sentiments for a total of 11 stamps in the set.Next I colored the image with Copic markers.
I cut/embossed a square die cut using the Grand Calibur™ and LF-126 Grand Squares #1 from Spellbinders™. I left the paper in the die templates and used it as a stencil and then I stamped the image of the dragon on to a piece of scrap paper and hand cut the image to make a mask for covering the colored image. I placed the mask on top of the colored image and used Copic markers to airbrush. Here is a photo once the die template and mask were removed. Here is a close up of the dragon on the card front all sparkly and glittered up.
The Be Mine sentiment is also from the JustRite Cling CL-02060 Adorable Dragon stamp set. I used Rich Cocoa ink and Simply Smooth White cardstock. I cut/embossed the banner using the Grand Calibur™ and S4-324 Ribbon Banners. Here is a close up of the banner. I also airbrushed the banner before removing from the die template. I edged the banner with glitter and added rhinestone flowers. To create the pink glittery heart I cut PolyShrink using S4-137 Classic Scalloped Heart #6 and the Grand Calibur™. I heat set the Polyshrink and then covered it with Cotton Candy Stickles. To create the yellow mat I used Core'dinations paper, LF-126 Grand Squares #2 and the Grand Calibur™. For the card base I cut/embossed Blue Core'dinations paper using LF-Grand Scalloped Squares #2 and the Grand Calibur™. Then I added glitter around the edges. I used 3D Foam Squares from SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES By 3L™ to pop up the heart and banner.

Crafty Secrets - Wonderland Tea Creative Scraps - Set of Three Cards

Ok, so I didn't make it back here on Monday or Tuesday--sorry my bad! I am just having a heck of a time trying to get back into the groove of things after coming home from CHA. But hopefully things are going to be coming around and getting back to normal. *wink*

Today, I have a set of three cards to share with you using the New Wonderland Tea Creative Scraps from Crafty Secrets and the Greetings from Wonderland stamp set.The cards are very similar but they each have a different sentiment and a little bit different embellishments. I LOVE this image of Alice on the teapot and I thought matching this sentiment to the image would be cute! The sentiment makes me giggle. The sentiment is from the Greetings from Wonderland stamp set. I cut out all of the images from the Wonderland Tea Creative Scraps and rounded the corners. Then for the mat behind the image I used S4-291 Labels Fifteen die template #5 and the Grand Calibur™ with Core'dinations White Wash/Pink paper and cut/embossed and sanded the die cut. Here is a close up of the image and sentiment. To create the felt piece around the sentiment and the border at the bottom I used S5-040 Floral Doily Accents and the Grand Calibur™ to make the die cuts. Then I added tiny pearls to the tag and border. Here is a close up of the image and the sentiment. For a little sparkle I added Star Dust Stickles to the flowers on the images and also to the paper flowers and around the outer edge of the background paper. I create the background paper I used Powder Blue Shimmer paper and I2-1009 Flourish to emboss and then I lightly sanded the paper to reveal the white core. Here is a close up of the image and sentiment.

I added a few Prima roses and vintage style buttons to each of the cards.
