The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Season's Greetings Christmas Card

Hello everyone and Happy Halloween!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you.  I used a few stamps to create my own custom background.

Here is the card that I designed.  I used white cardstock for the base and then added a piece of pattern paper from the BoBunny Candy Cane Lane 6 x 6 Collection for a layer in the background.  Next I used stamps from CR-02144 Bokeh Time Clear Stamps and CL-02053 JustRite Small Cling - Snowflakes along with Memento Teal Zeal andVersa Magic Sea Breeze inks to create the background.  I know these are non-traditional Christmas colors but I just love the aqua blues at Christmas.

I used CR-02133 JustRite Clear Stamp - Extra Grand Holiday Sentiments and  Teal Zeal ink to stamp the sentiment.  Then I used S6-015 Snowflakes View die from Spellbinders Paper Arts® to create the die cut.  For a little added sparkle I used the Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen on the sentiment and around the edges of the frame.

Here is a close up.  Love all the sparkle!

I also added a little sparkle on the star images.

To finish off the card I added May Arts 1.5" Sheer Wrinkled Edge-White and created a bow.  Then I added a KaiserCraft Crystal Sparklets to the center of the bow.

Using your stamps to create backgrounds can be a lot of fun!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Let It Snow Christmas Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and have a darling Christmas card to share with you.

The colors are non-traditional for Christmas but I love a touch of pink at Christmas.  The pretty Bokeh style paper is from the BoBunny Candy Cane Lane 6 x 6 Collection.  I love the papers in this collection!  They are fun with sweet images and non-traditional colors.

I thought this cute little snowman image from the JustRite® Papercraft CR-02026 Appliqué Christmas Labels One Clear Stamps would be great with the papers.  I stamped the image on to white cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa Ink and then I colored the image with  Spectrum Noir™ Markers (listed below).  Then I stamped the hate, colored and fussy cut it.  I used 3D Foam Squares to pop the hat up.  Once I had the image colored I used S4-161 Labels One die template from  Spellbinders Paper Arts® to cut/emboss the label shape.  I also used some blue cardstock and S4-375 Scalloped Labels One die template to create a second label shape for layering.  I stamped the sentiment in the bottom corner.  I used  3D Foam Squares from  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® to layer the labels.  I wanted to add a little bit of sparkle to the snowman so I used my Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen on his cheeks, body, hat and holly.

In this picture you can see all of the shimmery sparkle from the Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen.  Love it!

To finish off the card I added a bow using May Arts Pink Sheer Ribbon and a few Webster's Pages Party Time Sequins.

12 Days of CAS Christmas with The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Snowflake Joy Card

Hello everyone!  I am very excited to share my first CAS Christmas card for the 12 Days of CAS Christmas with The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Everyday from September 29th - October 10th the Design Team will be sharing CAS (Clean And Simple) Christmas cards on The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Blog.

Here is the card that I designed using some of the pretty BoBunny Candy Cane Lane Collection 6 x 6 Paper Pad.  I love all of the pretty pinks, blues and light green in this paper pad!  I cut one of the pattern pieces to fit the card front and then cut another piece a little smaller and layered the two together.  Next I die cut the S4-433 Snowflake Bliss, and S2-118 Holiday Sentiments die templates using ivory cardstock.  I used Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue to adhere the largest snowflake and the sentiment.  Then I used  3D Foam Squares to add the other layers.

Here you can see the layers of the snowflake.  I added Kaisercraft Sparklets-Rhinestone Clusters ClearLight Pink Rhinestones, and Silver Rhinestones for some sparkle.

Please be sure to check out The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all of the fantastic paper crafting products and the Blog for inspiration from the Design Team with fantastic CAS Christmas Cards.

JustRite Papercraft July Release - Christmas Labels Twenty-Two

Hello blogging friends!  I am back today with another July New Release from  JustRite Papercraft®.

Here is the New Cl-04650 Christmas Labels Twenty-Two stamp set.  Love the Santa stamp and the pretty holly and berries frame!

This is the card that I designed using Cl-04650 Christmas Labels Twenty-Two stamp set from JustRite Papercraft®.  To color the holly and berries image I inked up my stamp with Memento Toffee Crunch ink from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko. Then I added the color to the image (coloring directly on the stamp) using Fired Brick and Pine Needles Distress Markers.  I stamped the image on to Simply Smooth Ivory cardstock and die cut it using S4-346 Labels Twenty-Two die template from Spellbinders Paper Arts®.  The base of the card is Simply Smooth Ivory and for the mat I used the Rejoice Collection 6 x 6 paper pad from          Bo Bunny.  I used S5-131 A2 Matting Basics A to die cut the mat.

Here is a close up of the image.  I added diamond stickles to the holly and berries for a little sparkle and then I added some pearls.

For the holly leaves in the corners I used a piece of Simply Smooth Ivory cardstock and colored over it with Pine Needles Distress Markers and swiped the Memento Toffee Crunch ink pad over the top to get this greenish brown color.  I used the holly from the S4-385 Little Leaf Set die templates to cut/emboss the shapes.  Then I added some diamond stickles and a few more pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Please be sure to visit each of the JustRite Designers in the link list below to see what they have created to share with you.

Thinking of You Card & Stamping with Glue Technique

Hello blogging friends!  I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!  Today, I have a card and another tutorial to share with you using the Stamping with Glue Technique with Scrap Happy Sheer Glue from the The Rubber Cafe`.

Here is the card that I designed using the D-498 Script Background stamp and Scrap Happy Sheer Glue along with a couple colors of You're So Fine Glitter to create the sparkling script on the pattern paper.  The pretty pattern paper is from the Bo Bunny Prairie Chic 6 x 6 Paper Pad.

To start I apply some of the Scrap Happy Sheer Glue to the D-498 Script Background using a makeup sponge.  I make a little puddle of glue on some scrap paper, dab the sponge into the glue and apply to the stamp.  If you have never done the Stamping with Glue technique you might want to try it on a scrap piece of paper a couple of time.  You want a nice coat of glue, not too thick and clumpy because you won't get a clear image and not to thin because then your stamp might stick to the paper.  Also you need to wash your stamp/s right away.  I just use some soap and warm water with a little scrub brush.  Here's a little tip--a tooth brush is great for scrubbing stamps--it has small softer bristles and can get in to all of the little spots on the stamps. ;-)  Also, don't worry about your glue drying and not having enough time to apply the glitter.  The great thing about the Scrap Happy Sheer Glue is that it drys tacky so it is prefect for the Stamping with Glitter technique!

This is what the pattern paper looked like after I stamped it with the glue.  Can you see the script pattern?

Next, I applied some of the You're So Fine Glitter-Bronze Medal in a few areas.  I took a little pinch of glitter, sprinkled it on the paper and then used my fingers to rub it in.  Real technical--LOL!  When using  more then one color of glitter work in small sections, rub in the glitter and tap off the excess as you go.  This will keep the glitter from getting on all of the areas of glue.

Then I used You're So Fine Glitter-Princess Pink to apply the second layer of glitter.

Here is a close up of the glittery script background on the pattern paper.  As a reminder you can click the images to enlarge them.

Here is a close up of the center of the card.  I used J-1095 Fabulous Phrases and B-217 Daisy Splash to stamp the sentiment and flowers.  I used Lilac Posies and Desert Sand Memento inks from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko.  Then I used the Artisan X-Plorer™ and S3-205 Petite Labels One Die D-Lite to cut/emboss the little label.  I added some Edna Natural Crochet Lace Trim and a Sun Rose Seam Binding bow from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The Sun Rose Seam Binding matched the Lilac Posies ink perfectly!  The butterfly is from Recollections and I spritzed it with Pssst! Sheer Shimmer Spritz Sparkle and added Diva Pink Jellie Dots.  I used my handy Stick "EM" Up Tool for perfect placement of the Jellie Dots.  It's a great little tool for picking up small embellishments.  To finish off the card I added some ivory roses and a handmade stick pin.

For the solid paper I used Simply Smooth Ivory and Kraft from DiscountCardstock.com.  To create the mats I used S5-131 A2 Matting Basics AS5-132 A2 Matting Basics B from Spellbinders Creative Arts™.

So what do you think about the Stamping with Glue technique?  Is it something you would like to try or have you done this technique before?

A few pictures from the Twins game yesterday and the Twins won!!  The guys had great seats and a fantastic time at the game!!
