ButterBeeScraps Enjoy the Journey Vintage/Shabby 8 x 10 Altered Canvas

Hello everyone!  Today, I have an altered 8 x 10 canvas to share with you.

I used several metal filigree pieces from ButterBeeScraps to embellish the canvas.  I started by painting the edges of the canvas with ivory acrylic paint and then I added some Faded Jeans Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain.  The Faded Jeans color was the perfect match for the flowers in the DCWV The Primrose pattern paper.  Next, I added a piece of the pattern paper to the background on the canvas.  I used a tiny dot stencil and a doily stencil with some homemade texture paste to add some interest and dimension to the background paper.  After the texture paste was dry I added some ivory acrylic paint and Antique Linen Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain on top of the stencils.  Next, I fussy cut the postcards, ticket and banner pieces.  I distressed the edges on the postcards and ticket and added them to the center of the canvas.

I added Bronze Chain (Item #CH779-B) across the top of the canvas and then I added the banner pieces.  To decorate the banner pieces I added lace, Bronze Filigree 409-B, flat back pearls, and Pink Resin Roses.

Here is a close up of the banner.

On each side of the banner I left the chain longer to add some pearl dangles.  I used Bronze Ball End Head PinsBronze Filigree Bead Caps (Item #CAP052-B) and pearls to create the dangles.

In the lower left corner I added a doily and then I used one of the  Large Bronze Cameo Frames (Item #F623-B) with a  Large Oval Glass Cabochons (Item #CAB017) to create the sentiment.  The paper is from the same collection and I dry brushed some of the ivory paint on to the frame.  Then I added some WOC Flowers.

I create a couple more small flowers clusters on the other side of the canvas.  Then I added a Bronze Decorative Key and a Bronze Filigree Flower 124-B with a 6 mm flat back pearl on top.

I love how vintage and shabby this canvas turned out!  Don't forget you can click on all of the picture to enlarge them and see all the details.

Appliqué Flowers & Vintage Sentiment Tags - SVG Cut Files - JustRite Papercraft April Release Day One

Hello everyone!  Today, is the first day of the JustRite® Papercraft April New Release!  I am loving all of the New Release and the New SVG Cut Files.  The SVG Files coordinate with the stamps and they are so quick and easy to use--gotta love that!  I have a stamp set, background stamp, and a coordinating SVG Cut File to share with you today.

I made this envelope gift card pouch using burlap paper, the stamps and the SVG cut files.  I used an envelope template to trace on the back of the burlap paper and then I fussy cut the envelope and used hot glue to put it together.  Next I added some Exquisite Beige Scalloped Floral Cotton Lace Trim 1'' from Lavish Laces around the pouch.  Then I added a couple of doilies from The Paper Bag Lady (Julie) on Zibbet. Then I added the flower cluster.   For the SVG cut files I used the exact cuts on this project.

Here is a close up of the flower cluster.  I colored ivory cardstock with the inks, stamped the image using CR-02019 Appliqué Flowers & Vintage Sentiment Tags stamps and then stamped over top with the CL-02027 Burlap Cling Background Stamp.  I also added some pearls and used the Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen

Here is a look at the inside of the envelope pouch.  I added some velcro for the closure.

Here is a look at the front of the pouch.  I added another flower, doily and some stick pins.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Thinking of You Card

Hello blogging friends!  Today, is my day to post for the The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a pretty Thinking of You card that could be used for Valentine's Day, a Spring card or for any occasion when you want to let someone know you are thinking of them.

I used Simply Smooth White Cardstock and DCWV Pastel Stack (Lt Sage Green) for the papers.  I stamped the rose image from JustRite Papercraft CR-03570 With Sympathy using Memento Dew Drop Dye Ink 4 Pack - Arizona Canyon (Desert Sand) and I colored the image with Copic markers and the airbrush system.  After I colored the image I used  S4-425 Elegant Ovals die template to create the die cut shape.  Then I used S4-418 Labels 36S6-010 5x7 Heirloom Legacy, and S6-001 5x7 Matting Basics A die template to create all of the die cut layers.  I used 3D Foam Squares in between all of the layers.

Here is a close up of the rose image.  I love how soft the colors are.  When I am wanting to color an image with really soft colors I used Desert Sand Memento ink to stamp the image.  I like the results a lot better then a dark brown or a black ink--it just keeps the entire image nice and soft.

I stamped the sentiment using Rich Cocoa and then I fussy cut a small banner.  I used 3D Foam Squares to pop the banner up just a little bit.  To finish off the card I added a pretty pink bow using some ribbon from the May Arts Ribbon Sampler - Vintage Pink from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I also added a few Melissa Frances Pearls - White.  As always you can click on all the photos to enlarge them and all of the supplies are listed below with links.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

The Love of God -Sympathy Card

Hello everyone!  Just a quick post today.  I had to make a sympathy card not to long ago for one of Eric's co-workers.  Even though this is a sympathy card I like the layout and it's a pretty CAS (Clean and Simple) card.  It could fit several different occasions by simply switching out the sentiment.

I used the  E3D-013 Persian Splendor M-bossabilities folder with DCWV Metallic Champagne cardstock.  Then I lightly sanded the paper to reveal the white core.

For the sentiment I used a stamp from CR-03570 With Sympathy Clear Stamps from JustRite Papercraft®.  I used Delicata Golden Glitz and gold embossing powder for the sentiment.  Then I used S5-187 Labels Thirty-Three to die cut the label shape.  I added a few WOC flowers and some pink seam binding.

The finished card is a 5 x 7 size.  I think the folder is so pretty and with so much detail.  The  S5-187 Labels Thirty-Three die cut fits perfectly in between the embossed area.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I can't believe we only have a few days of 2013 left!
I am looking forward to the New Year. ♥

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi
