Extra Grand Holiday Sentiments with SVG Files - JustRite Papercraft September New Release Day Five - Merry Christmas Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is the final day of the  JustRite® Papercraft September New Release.  I have a stamp set and a coordinating SVG File to share with you.

I also used CL-02053 Snowflakes Cling Stamps to create me card.

Here is the card that I designed using CR-02133 Extra Grand Holiday Sentiments Clear StampsCL-02053 Snowflakes Cling Stamps, and SVG-02133 SVG Extra Grand Holiday Sentiments Digital Cut File Download for CR-02133.  I just love how this card turned out!  Watercolor is very popular right now and I thought the white embossed snowflakes and the sentiment would be perfect for a winter Christmas watercolor card in the blue tones.   The great thing about watercolor is if you just let the paints flow and blend together they do all the work for you.

I started with a piece of Strathmore Watercolor Paper and heat embossed the snowflakes using white embossing powder.  Then I took a spray bottle and misted the entire piece of paper with water.  I used a brush to spread the water around and make sure all of the paper was wet.  I wanted to have the paper wet so when the paint was applies it would free flow and blend pretty much on its own.  I used Distress Inks and started with the lightest color Tumbled Glass.  I filled in the blank space areas making sure some areas had just a little color and some had a lot more.  Then I used the darkest color Chipped Sapphire in the center of the snowflake.  I added a little more water around the edge of the color and then added Salty Ocean for the next color.  I did one snowflake at a time and I added more water around the outer edges of the first color before applying a second color so the paint would flow and blend nicely.

After all the watercolor was done I heat set the paper to dry it.  Next I used a stencil with three different sizes of circle and the Tumbled Glass ink to achieve the Bokeh look.  Then I used some watered down acrylic paint to flick little paint splatters onto the background.  Here is a close up so you can see both the Bokeh from the stencils and the paint splatters.

I used the SVG-02133 SVG Extra Grand Holiday Sentiments Digital Cut File Download for CR-02133 to cut the offset piece (the white paper) and then stamped the sentiment with Salty Ocean.  I inked the edges with Tumbled Glass.  Next I used dark blue cardstock and the extra offset part of the SVG File to cut the outer edge creating a second layer or shadow for the sentiment.  I used 3D Foam Squares in between the layers to add some dimension.

To finish off the card I added a strip of Bazzill Silver Mirror Paper on the side and May Arts Silver Metallic String and tied a bow.  Then I added a few sequins for a little sparkle and adhered everything to a dark blue card base.

Please be sure to visit the Design Team Members in the link list below to she what they have created to share with you.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

3D Oven Box Cut File - It's a Girl - Bun In The Oven! - Silhouette Cameo & ButterBeeScraps

Hello everyone!  Before I get started with today's post I just wanted to let you know if you are looking for the Spellbinder Guest Designer post with the tutorial and giveaway you can click HERE to find it.  ;-)

So today I have a fun 3D paper craft project to share with you that I created using my Silhouette Cameo.  My husband and I have some friends who are expecting a baby girl soon and I wanted to make something special and do a little more then a card.  When I found the 3d lori whitlock oven cupcake box in the Silhouette Online Store I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it--a bun in the oven--LOL!  I also knew that I had some great charms and metal filigree pieces from ButterBeeScraps that would be a perfect match with the little oven.

Here is the 3D oven that I designed using the 3d lori whitlock oven cupcake box cut file designed by Lori Whitlock.  I love Lori's cut files! She has the cutest files and what I really love is she also does YouTube videos for a lot of her cut files so you know exactly how to create the projects.  She walks you through everything step-by-step.  I put the oven together while I watched the video.

The oven is supposed to be a cupcake box but I thought it would be perfect for a bun in the oven and it's a pink oven LOL!  I used  pink and black cardstocks and a small piece of acetate for the window in the oven.  On the handles I used small white brads and for the nobs I used larger white pearl brads.  After I made the oven I embellished it with several filigree pieces and charms from ButterBeeScraps.

Here is a filigree and flower cluster that I added in the top right corner.  I used two Silver Filigree Embellishment (Item #834) pieces to shape around the larger white and pink rose.  Then I added more pink roses in a couple of different sizes.  All of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

For the left corner I added some Small Gold Heart Tag Charms (Item #M581-BS) and I used ImpressArt® Metal Stamps for the word Baby.  I colored over the letters with a Sharpie marker and then I used a cotton ball with a little bit of rubbing alcohol to rub off the excess marker.  I also added a few more flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts

For the burners I used Round Silver Filigree (378-P).  Then I added a Antique Silver Cabochon Settings (Item #115-S) that looks like a little hot plate and then the tea pot charm from the Too many Cooks Charm Collection.  I just love how this part turned out LOL--it's like the pieces were perfect for the oven!

Here is a close up of one of the burners.

I also used the spatula from the Too many Cooks Charm Collection.  I wrapped one of the tine rose buds around it and hung it on the handle using one of the Black Safety Pins.

Here you can see the inside of the oven.  There is a little box for a cupcake or a bun and I added another small flower cluster in the front corner.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you had as much fun checking out all the pictures as I did designing this pretty pink little oven.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags & SVG Files - JustRite Papercraft - March Release Day One

Hello blogging friends!  Today, is Day One of the JustRite® Papercraft March Release and we have something exciting to share with you!  JustRite® Papercraft now has SVG Files available to match some of the stamp sets!!

Here is a look at the stamp set and SVG file we are showcasing today.

SVG-02018 SVG Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags Digital Cut Download for CR-02018  The blue shaded items in the product photo represent the images you will get in your download.

Here is the card that I designed using both the CR-02018 Stitched Flower Vintage Tags  Clear Stamps and SVG-02018 SVG Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags Digital Cut Download for CR-02018 from  JustRite® Papercraft.  For my card I used the exact cut file.

The SVG Files will allow you to be able to cut with and offset or and exact cut.  Here is a picture so you can see the to two different cuts side by side.  The first one is the offset cut and the flowers on the card are the exact cut.

I have a tutorial to share with you on how I stamp the exact cuts.  I remove all of my cuts from the mat and when I do this I put a little X on the back of the cut.  This way if I don't stamp everything right away I will know with a quick glance the front and back of the cut.  I place the stamp on an acrylic block (face up) and before inking the stamp I place the cut on top of the stamp and line it up to match.

Next I apply a little bit of adhesive from E-Z Dots® Repositionable adhesive to an acrylic block with a grid.

Then I press the acrylic block with adhesive down on top of the cut.  When I do this I use the grid to line up areas on the grid as a visual for when I stamp (see X's).  I lift the block straight up and the cut is on one block and the stamp is on the other.  Ink up the stamp and then remember the lines on the grid for lining up the cut with the stamp.

Stamp.  ;-)

Perfect results! ;-) I used Mix'd Media Inx Jasmine to stamp on to the Kraft cardstock.

I used Prismacolor Colored Pencils to add just a hint of color to the images.

Here is a close up of the butterfly and the tag with the sentiment.  To create the tag I used one of the die templates from the S5-211 Romantic Rectangles Two set from  Spellbinders Paper Arts®.

Here is a close up of the flowers.  I added pink buttons for the flower centers.  I also used my
Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen brush pen to add some sparkle to the card.

Here is a look at some of the offset cuts that I colored and will be on an upcoming project.

I hope you enjoyed the stamping tutorial and the card.  I am really excited to be using the SVG files--they are going to be a lot of fun!
