ButterBeeScraps Enjoy the Journey Vintage/Shabby 8 x 10 Altered Canvas

Hello everyone!  Today, I have an altered 8 x 10 canvas to share with you.

I used several metal filigree pieces from ButterBeeScraps to embellish the canvas.  I started by painting the edges of the canvas with ivory acrylic paint and then I added some Faded Jeans Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain.  The Faded Jeans color was the perfect match for the flowers in the DCWV The Primrose pattern paper.  Next, I added a piece of the pattern paper to the background on the canvas.  I used a tiny dot stencil and a doily stencil with some homemade texture paste to add some interest and dimension to the background paper.  After the texture paste was dry I added some ivory acrylic paint and Antique Linen Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain on top of the stencils.  Next, I fussy cut the postcards, ticket and banner pieces.  I distressed the edges on the postcards and ticket and added them to the center of the canvas.

I added Bronze Chain (Item #CH779-B) across the top of the canvas and then I added the banner pieces.  To decorate the banner pieces I added lace, Bronze Filigree 409-B, flat back pearls, and Pink Resin Roses.

Here is a close up of the banner.

On each side of the banner I left the chain longer to add some pearl dangles.  I used Bronze Ball End Head PinsBronze Filigree Bead Caps (Item #CAP052-B) and pearls to create the dangles.

In the lower left corner I added a doily and then I used one of the  Large Bronze Cameo Frames (Item #F623-B) with a  Large Oval Glass Cabochons (Item #CAB017) to create the sentiment.  The paper is from the same collection and I dry brushed some of the ivory paint on to the frame.  Then I added some WOC Flowers.

I create a couple more small flowers clusters on the other side of the canvas.  Then I added a Bronze Decorative Key and a Bronze Filigree Flower 124-B with a 6 mm flat back pearl on top.

I love how vintage and shabby this canvas turned out!  Don't forget you can click on all of the picture to enlarge them and see all the details.

If you love using metal filigrees and embellishments on your projects or designing jewelry please be sure to check out ButterBeeScraps online store.  Also please LIKE us on Facebook, and subscribe and follow us on The ButterBeeScraps Blog and Pinterest.

Spellbinders & A Gilded Life Crown Bezel Necklace

Hello everyone!  Today, I have a jewelry piece to share with you using one of A Gilded Life bezels from  Spellbinders Paper Arts®.  These little bezels are so fun to work with because you can create a little mini collage on the inside.  The bezels come with a clear plexiglass cover so you can fill the bezels with some fun little bits and add the cover or you could leave it off too.  You could also fill the bezels with resin.

I used the GLLB-003G Large Crown Bezel-Bronze along with the coordinating die template GLD-003 Crown Circle Die (Lg).  I die cut a piece from a vintage book page, inked the edges with Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo.  Next, I used Mod Podge to glue the die cut inside the bezels.  I added a piece of vintage lace and then glued a tiny pearl heart in place.  Once the Mod Podge was dry then I added some tiny pearl beads and a few sequins.

I used Ranger Glossy Accents to glue the clear plexiglass cover in place.

To finish off the bezel I added ivory flat back pearls from Em's Emporium, a large jump ring from Butterbeescraps and some Sari Silk Ribbon from Hippie Chix Fiber Art.  This was such a fun and easy necklace to create and I can't wait to wear it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Sunshine Vintage Labels Eight and Nine Clear Stamps - JustRite Papercraft September New Release - You are Braver Than You Think Card

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend!  Today, is the first day of the JustRite® Papercraft September New Release.

We are showcasing two stamp sets today.

Here is the card that I designed using CR-02117 Sunshine Vintage Labels Eight and Nine Clear Stamps and the coordinating dies JB-02087 Vintage Labels Eight Dies from JustRite® Papercraft.  I used pink cardstock for the base and then layered it with some beautiful pattern paper from The Paper Studio Country Road 12 x 12 Paper Pad Collection (Hobby Lobby).  I love this collection--all of the papers are so pretty and shabby!

I stamped the smaller flourish frame  two times with VersMark ink and embossed in white.  I also used the same ink and embossing powder for the sentiment.  Then I used one of the labels from the JB-02087 Vintage Labels Eight Dies to create the die cuts.  You can see on the left more of the die cuts with the flourish frame is peeking out.  I placed both of those die cuts on the bottom.  Then I die cut the larger frame and used Donna Salazar Mix'd Media Inx Wisteria to stamp the image of the frame.  I layered the sentiment on the top.  Then I added a little bit of white Gesso to the die cuts to shabby them up just a bit.  I wrapped the center of the card with May Arts Pink Tulle from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and tied a bow.  To finish up the card I added some  Wild Orchid Craft Flowers, AB Sequins, and Em's Emporium 4mm, 6mm White Pearls.  For a little bit of sparkle I added Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the flowers.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Love and Hugs Card - JustRite Papercraft August New Release Day Four

Hello blogging friends!  Today is day four of the JustRite® Papercraft New Release for August and this is our last day of the release too.  For today we have one stamp set with a coordinating SVG File and a Background Stamp to share with you.

I used the exact cut file to create the large floral frame and the two small flower accents.  I colored directly on the stamps using Distress Markers-Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade, Mowed Lawn and light sprayed the stamp with a little water to reactivate the ink.  Then I inked the edges of the cut pieces using Distress Ink-Antique Linen.

These are a couple of close ups of the card.  I used  S6-010 5 x 7 Heirloom LegacyS6-001 5 x 7 Matting Basics A, and S4-425 Elegant Ovals from Spellbinders Paper Arts® to create the die cuts.  I stamped the sentiment using Rich Cocoa ink.  I used 3D Foam Squares, and E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips-Refillable Dispenser 49' to layer and adhere all of the pieces together.  To finish off the card I added some Ivory Flat Back Pearls from Em's Emporium and Wild Orchid Flowers.

Thank you for joining us during the August New Release!  I hope you enjoyed all the inspiration from the Design Team.

Celebration Sentiments - Happy Birthday Card - JustRite Papercraft August New Release Day Three

Hello everyone!  Are you ready for day three of the August New Releases from  JustRite® Papercraft?  Today, we have a lovely sentiment stamp set and two die templates sets to share with you.

This is a wonderful stamp set that can be used for several different occasions.

Check out the tiny little tag die template.  Love it!

I think this flourish die template is so gorgeous!

Here is the card that I designed using CR-02099 Celebrations Sentiments Clear StampsCL-02086 Cornflower Damask Cling Background StampJB-02089 Vintage Labels Nine Dies and JB-02084 Vintage Flourish One Dies.  To create the background I started with a piece of white cardstock.  I added three colors of ink--Grape Jelly, Sweet Plum, and LuLu Lavender to the CL-02086 Cornflower Damask Cling Background Stamp and stamped the image.  Then I took a cotton ball and lightly applied the same ink colors on top of the background image.  Then I added a purple mat and layered the pieces on to a lavender card base.

I stamped the sentiment on to white cardstock and then used two of the die templates and another piece of the lavender cardstock along with  JB-02089 Vintage Labels Nine Dies to create the die cuts.  I used purple cardstock and JB-02084 Vintage Flourish One Dies to create the flourish die cut.  Then I added a few white flat back pearls from Em's Emporium.

I used  May Arts Lavender Sheer Ribbon from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store to create a box.  For the center of the bow I made a little bouquet using  Silver Filigree Bead Caps CAP216-PFrosted Acrylic Flower Beads (Item #ABD560-PL) (purple flower), Silver Ball End Head Pins, and  Clear AB Rhinestone Rondelle Spacer Beads - 6mm (Item #BD006-P/AB) all from ButterBeeScraps.  I also added a few white pearls 4mm and 6 mm from my own stash.

Here is a close up of the individual pieces I used from ButterBeeScraps.

To create the flowers I started with the head pin, added a 4mm pearl, purple bead cap, rondelle, and a 6mm pearl.  I added a tiny drop of Glossy Accents to hold the beads in place.

Once I had the flowers made I used the excess wire from the head pins to wire wrap around the bottom of the silver bead cap and hold everything in place.

Please be sure to visit each of the Design Team Member in the link list below to see what they have created to share with you.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful and creative day!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Elegant Fan Elements Card - JustRite Papercraft August New Release Day Two

Hello everyone!  It's day two of the JustRite® Papercraft August New Release.  Today, we have a couple of clear stamp sets and coordinating SVG Files to share with you.

There is also a matching die template set for the fans that was part of last months release.  You can click HERE to see the JB-02008 Vintage Fan Dies.

I didn't happen to use this SVG File for my project but some of the Design Team Members did and wait until you see just how beautiful it is!  Love this new Stationery Set!

Here is the card that I designed using  CR-02091 Elegant Fan Elements Clear Stamps and the matching JB-02008 Vintage Fan Dies from JustRite® Papercraft.  I stamped the images with VersaMark ink and then I used Gold Embossing Powder to heat emboss.

I colored the fan using Spectrum Noir™ Pencils-Primaries 065, 068, 034, 078.

Here is a close up of the fan.  I added pearls, sequins and some small lace applique flowers.  Then I made a little tassel around the bottom of the fan with gold metallic string, lace, and some pink silk ribbon.  To finish it off I added a pink ribbon rose to the front.

I stamped a couple little accents and the sentiment in the corners and added more pearls.  The card base is white with a layer of pink and then pattern paper from Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Collection.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and the new releases.

Today is also Tuesday Tutorial so don't forget to check out Darsie's new video and also leave her a little love.  Answer the question on the JustRite Inspiration Blog and have a chance to win a gift certificate.
