Inspiration

Where do you get your inspiration from? For myself I know that I draw inspiration from so many things in life~my husband, kids, family, friends, nature & the list could go on & on!!

Recently I was in a swap at Art Happens and what a challenge!! We did a NO LAYERS swap. Sounds easy enough, right? Well think again!! LOL! OMGosh I think it is so much harder to come up with a design this way then if someone handed you a stack of papers and told you to use whatever you wanted!! I had several failed attempts before I came up with the right design but I am very pleased with the end result.

What was my inspiration? Beads. These are printed wooden beads from my stash. Here is my card that was inspired by the beads.
I layered five different stamps, did masking, sponged, stippled, spritz, embossed, painted with twinkling H2O's and use only one piece of card stock!

Supplies~
CS~SU-Mellow Moss
Stamps~SU-Print Pattern, Artfully Asian, Asian Word, Sentiment (retired) Unknown- Asian Lady/Doll (it was a gift and it was just the rubber)
Inks~SU-Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Really Rust, Versa Mark
Markers~SU-Ruby Red, Old Olive
Twinkling H2O's~Spiced Pumpkin (flower), Dreamsicle (berries), Lemongrass (leaves)
Other~Oval Template, Removable Adhesive, Stipple Brush, Sponges, SU-Spritz Tool, Gold EP, Paint Brush, Heat Tool

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend full of inspiration!!
Smiles~

  4. I wish I could look at a bowl of beads and be inspired as you are! All I would see is beads to make a necklace! LOL Love the card!
