Spellbinders Diamond Anniversary: Sneak Peek and Giveaway - Day Two

Hello and Welcome! Today, I am excited about sharing some NEW Spellbinders Paper Arts® die templates from the Winter 2014 Diamond Anniversary release.  Not only will you have a chance to win the die templates I will be sharing with you but you will also have a chance to win the die templates being showcased on Candy Rosenberg's blog Living the Altered Life and Seth Apter's blog The Altered Page.  Be sure to  look at the end of the post for more details and instructions on how to enter the giveaway.

**Please Note: There is a clickable link at the bottom of this post for entering;
commenting on this post does NOT enter you into the giveaway.**

I am showcasing Spellbinders newest die templates S5-207 Labels Thirty-Eight and  S4-428 Feathers and I have created three projects to share with you using both sets of die templates.

Here is the shape card that I designed using S5-207 Labels Thirty-EightS4-428 Feathers.  I also used  S5-199 Font One Lowercase die templates.  I have a step-by-step photo tutorial to share with you.

To create the base for the shape card I started with a piece of bronze metallic cardstock 6-1/4" x 8-1/2"  and scored it at 4-1/4" and folded.  Using the largest die template in the set #7, I taped the cut edge of the die template off of the fold on the card base.  With the cut edge off of the fold it will not cut the paper in this area.

Next, using the same cardstock and die template cut/emboss the label shape.  Then I lightly sand the outer edges of the label shape to reveal the black core and make the embossed details really pop.

I applied EZ Runner® Permanent Strips-Refillable Dispenser 49' from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® and attached the two pieces together.

Now I have the base of the shape card.

For the word Dream I used the bronze metallic cardstock and S5-199 Font One Lowercase die templates.  Before die cutting I placed a piece of wax paper over the die templates and then I added the cardstock on top.  I like to use wax paper when I am using small or detailed die templates.  When doing this the die cuts will be very easy to remove from the template.

Next I lightly sanded the die cut letters.

To create the feather I used sky metallic cardstock and S4-428 Feathers.  I lightly sanded the feather to remove some of the sheen and get to the core of the paper.  Doing this allows me to apply ink to the metallic cardstock.  Then I inked the edges with Memento Teal Zeal ink from Imagine Crafts®/Tsukineko®.  When applying ink to the edges of paper I like to use a cotton ball in a circular motion for a soft even coverage.

For the second mat/layer of the card I used Champagne Metallic cardstock and the #6 die template in the S5-207 Labels Thirty-Eight set to cut/emboss the label shape.  Then I added 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® to the backside of the die cut.

I added the die cut letters to the bottom of the label shape and then I added the feather.  I used 3D Foam Squares to pop up the the feather.  To finish off the card I added a few Aquamarine Flat Back Crystals from ButterBeeScraps.  I used glossy accents to apply the crystals.  Then I added this entire piece to the front of the shape card.

Here is another look at the finished card.  I have several pictures for the tutorial so you can see all of the steps but this is a really quick and easy card to put together--only about 5-10 minute!

Tulip Damask Background Cling Stamp and Friendship Vintage Labels Seven Clear Stamps - JustRite Papercraft Day Five January CHA New Release

Hello blogging friends!  Today, is day five of the JustRite Papercraft® January CHA New Release.  This is the last day that I will be participating for this release due to some other commitments so please be sure to check the JustRite Inspiration Blog the next couple of days so you can see the other New Releases.

I have two New stamp sets to share with you today and both of the stamp sets were designed by the amazingly talented Becca Feeken for JustRite Papercraft®.

This is a lovely stamp set with several sweet sentiments.  I love the different fonts!

Check out this gorgeous background stamp!

Here is the card that I designed using both of the new stamps sets and the JustRite Papercraft® Custom Dies JB-04895 Vintage Labels Seven Dies.  I used Versa Magic Wheat with the Simply Smooth White cardstock to stamp the background image.  Then I lightly inked the edges.  For the sentiment I used the same ink and then I embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I used the JB-04895 Vintage Labels Seven Dies to cut/emboss the label shapes and then I layered the two shapes.  I also used kraft cardstock.

Here is a close up of the sentiment and layered label die cuts.  I added some beautiful ivory Venice lace trim from Lavish Laces and then I added some vintage lace trim.  I also added some seam binding, bling and WOC Flowers with some Diamond Stickles to the flowers for a little added sparkle.

To finish off the card I added a handmade stick pin.

Cupcake Celebration Clear Stamps and Cupcake Stand Dies - JustRite Papercraft Day Three January CHA New Release

Hello blogging friends!  It's Day Three of the JustRite Papercraft® January CHA New Release.  Today, I have a fun card and tutorial to share with you.  But first lets take a look at the stamp set and new dies set I used to create my card.

This is the New Stamp set SW-04945 Cupcake Celebration Clear Stamps from Samantha Walker for JustRite Papercraft®.  This is such a fun stamp set and can be used for so many occasions and the best part--yep you guessed it--it has a match die template set!

Check out the JustRite Papercrafts® Custom Dies SW-04880 Cupcake Stand Dies.  This set is filled with so many fun dies!

Here is the card that I designed using both the new stamp set and die template set.

To start I cut and embossed eight cupcakes and the toppers (frosting).  I used milk chocolate and pink lemonade cardstock.  For the inks I used rich cocoa and rose bud.  For the cupcakes I applied the ink directly to the die cut.  Then for the topper I stamped the swirl image and then lightly inked the edges.

Once I had all of the cupcakes inked and assembled then I added 3D Foam Squares to the back of all the cupcakes.

For the sentiment I stamped two sentiments and then I fussy cut the words apart to create little word blocks and inked the edges with rich cocoa (inking not shown).  The word blocks are used on the banner.

To create the banner I used the die template for the ice cream cone.  This is just another way you can use one of the die templates.  I added The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store-Silver String and 3D Foam Squares.

Here is a close up of the cupcake plate.  For the little cherries on top of the cupcakes I added SS12 Siam Flat Back Glass Rhinestones (red) from ButterBeeScraps.

Here is a close up of the banner where you can see the ice cream cone die cuts were used.  I also added the word blocks I created from the sentiments.  I also added SS12 Light Rose Flat Back Glass Rhinestones from ButterBeeScraps to the top of the banner pieces and in the corners of the card.

For the card base I used pink lemonade cardstock.  Then I also used S6-001 5x7 Matting Basics A and S6-005 5x7 Elegant Labels Four die templates from Spellbinders Creative Arts® with simply smooth white and teal cardstock to create the straight edge mat and decorative mat for the card front.  To finish of the card I added a little diamond stickles for some sparkle.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Rose Vintage Labels Seven Cling Stamps - JustRite Papercraft Day Two January CHA New Release

Hello blogging friends!  Today, is Day Two of the JustRite Papercraft® January CHA New Release.  If you missed Day One you can click HERE.  This release has 2 new custom dies and 12 new stamp sets so there will be lots of stamping inspiration.

JustRite Papercraft® is also kicking off a NEW Tuesday Tutorial Series and a chance to win $100.00 shopping spree!  If you missed the announcement click HERE for all of the details.

These are the stamps and dies that I used on my card for today.

Here is the card that I designed using all of the products listed above.  For the coloring I used Twinkling H2O's.  I couldn't tell you when the last time was that I used the twinkling H2O's but I thought it was time to break them out.  I love the results and all of the shimmer!  I will have to try and remember to use these fun shimmery watercolors more often.  To start I stamped all of the images using Delicata Golden Glitz ink and then I heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  I stamped and embossed the image of the label a couple of times and then I fussy cut the rose.  Just a little tip--when fussy cutting an image that has been heat embossed--hit it with the heat tool again ( just for a few seconds) after you are done fussy cutting it.  Doing this will re-melt any of the embossing that might have lifted up along the edges.

Here is a close up of the image and you can see a little more of the shimmer.  I used Blushing Rose, Iridescent Blue, Nothern Lights, Lemongrass, and Green Tea Twinkling H2O's to color the image.  After I had all of the coloring done then I used JustRite Papercraft® Custom Dies JB-04895 Vintage Labels Seven Dies to die cut the label shape.  I used 3D Foam Squares in between the layers to add some dimension.

To finish off the card I added all of the paper pieces to a teal base and then I added several clear rhinestones.

I also wanted to let you know JustRite Papercraft® is having a sale from now until January 15th, 2014.  Everything in the store is 25% Off!!  Below is the coupon code.

Coffee & Friends Background Cling Stamp - JustRite Papercraft November Release - Coffee & Friends Card

Hello everyone!  Welcome to day four of the  JustRite® Papercraft November New Release.  Today, I have a new background stamp to share with you.

Here is CL-04860 Coffee & Friends Background Cling Stamp from   JustRite® Papercraft.  This is a great background stamp--it could be used for several different occasions and also for DIY home decor pieces.

Here is the card that I designed using CL-04860 Coffee & Friends Background Cling Stamp.  I went for more of a rustic country look with my card adding the touches of burlap.

To color the background I stamped the image using Tuxedo Black ink.  Then I added Rhubarb Stalk ink around the oval frame and coming in towards the center of the image.  To finish it up I added Vintage Photo ink on the outer edges for the wood grain.

For the roses/leaves I used burlap and S5-086 Bitty Blossoms to die cut the flowers.  I rolled the roses and used hot got on the bottoms to glue the flowers together.  Then I airbrushed them with Copic markers for a little added color.  I also used S2-049 Corner Sprigs and black cardstock to die cut some little sprigs and tucked them in around the roses.

I added more burlap to the back of the main image.  Then I used LF-132 Grand Rectangles and LF-168 Grand Large Labels die templates to create a mat and base for the card with black and really red cardstock.
