The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Just a Note Farmhouse Signage CAS Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Gosh, now that school is back in full swing this week seems like it just flew by.  Today, I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) card to share with you that I think might be a record for how quickly it came together.  But it has a very fresh and clean look to it and I love it!

Here is a look at the card I designed.  I love the leaf images from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Farmhouse Signage SS-027 stamp set.

I used two colors of the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks - Peeled Paint and Twisted Citron to stamp the leaves into a wreath shape.  Then I stamped the sentiment in the center with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink - Walnut Stain ink.  To finish off the card I added a few  My Mind's Eye Record It Charmed Enamel Dots and a Petaloo Botanica Collection Baby Blooms White flower.

The card came together so quickly I forgot to take a picture when I was making it.   But to speed up the time for creating the wreath and help give me a guide for a nice circle shape I cut out a circle from scrap paper and then stamped the leaves around the outer edge.

Like I said, record time!  This would be a great card to create multiples of.  The card base is a A2 kraft top folding card with a layer of green added to bring out the green in the wreath.

I hope you enjoyed today's CAS card share.  All of the supplies used are listed and linked below and can also be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  If you would like to see more care inspiration I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Much love, hugs, and blessings,
Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Give Thanks Card with Rock-N-Roll Watercolor Technique

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a pretty Fall themed card to share with you using the Rock-n-Roll inking technique and a little water to achieve a watercolor look.

Here is a look at the card I designed.  At first glance it looks like a watercolor card that might have taken awhile to create but it doesn't, it's actually very quick and easy.  If you are new to stamping and not familiar with the Rock-n-Roll technique it is really easy.  You will need to colors of ink for you stamp.  First ink up your stamp with a base coat of ink (this should be the lighter of the two colors).  Then take the second ink (the darker one) and rock-n-roll the ink pad around the edges of the stamp.  Doing this will give you a two tone image.  I stamped all of the leaf images using this technique.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks and I stamped the images on to Watercolor paper.  The leaf images are from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Harvest SS-010 and Give Thanks SS-009 stamp sets. After all the images were stamped I sprayed water on the paper using the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer.  You can either let the water do all the work on the paper or if you want to move the colors around a little and blend them you can use a paint brush with some water.  I used a heat tool to speed up the process of drying the paper.  Then I used some of the  walnut stain ink with some water and a paint brush to add the paint splatters.  I did go ink with a paint brush and some water and soften up the area around some of the paint splatters.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock using  VersaMark Ink.  Then I added Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder to heat emboss the sentiment.  I layered the pieces on to a black A2 top folding card base and added a few My Mind's Eye Record It Enamel Dots to finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed today's card share and with give the Rock-n-Roll technique with some water a try.  It's quick and easy and looks like a beautiful watercolor card.  All of the supplies used to create the card are listed and linked below and can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  If you would like to see more card inspiration I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.  The design team always has beautiful cards to share.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Much love, hugs, and blessings,
Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Woodgrain Happy Father's Day Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I have a Father's Day card to share with you along with a tutorial on how I did the ink blending for the background of the card.

Here is the card I designed.  I used the Tim Holtz Woodgrain Layering Stencil along with the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks to create the background.

I started with a piece of Ranger Watercolor paper on my Ranger Non-stick Craft Mat Sheet.  I used the Mini Ink Blending Tools and three of the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks Antique LinenPeeled PaintVintage Photo.  I went over each color two times to get a nice smooth blend.

Next, I added water droplets using the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer.  I used a paper towel to blot up the water.

Then, I used some painters tape to hold the stencil in place.  I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool and the Walnut Stain ink with the stencil.

Here is a look at the paper after the stenciling was done.

The stenciling looked good but I wanted the colors to still look deeper so I applied a layer of the walnut stain ink over the entire piece.  I love how this turned out and that you can see all the different colors which helps to give the card more depth.

I used a sentiment from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - All Occasions Sentiments SET 2 SS-031 stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment using VersaMark Ink onto black cardstock.  Then, I applied Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder - White and used my heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.  I love the white embossing on back cardstock--it really pops!  Then I added some of the  May Arts Satin String Leaves Olive and May Arts Satin String Leaves Rust along the bottom and at the top of the card.  I did use a little bit of hot glue behind some of the leaves to help hold the ribbon in place.  To finish off the card I added a few black My Mind's Eye Record It Charmed Enamel Dots.

I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  This is a card that could be used for several different occasions by simply switching out the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  All of the supplies to create the card are listed and linked below and can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  If you would like to see more card inspiration I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.  There is lots of inspiration from the design team!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Love, hugs, and blessings,
Heidi

GRADUATION & BEYOND BLOG HOP - Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

Welcome to our Graduation & Beyond BLOG HOP today. We have many projects to share showcasing two of the sets in our NEW April Release - Graduation Sentiments and Scripture for Graduation & Beyond. With these 2 sets your options for cards for so many types of celebratory and congratulatory events are limitless.  Combine them with images, sentiments or Scripture from our other sets and the sky is the limit!

Here is the card I designed using the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Graduation Sentiments SS-029 stamp set.  Graduation time is just around the corner and both of the new stamp sets are filled with fantastic sentiments and Scriptures.  For the pattern paper I used a couple of sheets from the Authentique - Dapper collection.  The school colors for our high school are cherry and blue so this paper was perfect.  I thought black and ivory would make a nice accent colors and tie everything together.  I embossed the top portion of a piece of ivory cardstock using the Darice Graduation Hat Background Embossing Folder.  Then I stamped part of the sentiment on the bottom of the cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  For the congrats banner I used a piece of black cardstock and treated it with the EK Success Powder Tool and then I used VersaMark Ink for the stamping.  I applied Stampendous Super Fine Embossing Powder - Detail White and used my heat tool to melt and set the embossing powder.  I added 3D Foam Squares to the back of the banner and adhered it to the stamped and dry embossed ivory cardstock and then trimmed the edges.

I used the Cherry Lynn Designs - Graduation Set of dies to create the hat and diploma die cuts with black cardstock.  I added a black enamel dot from the My Mind's Eye - Record It! Charmed Enamel Dots to the center of the hat.  I also added some enamel dots for embellishments from the My Mind's Eye - Necessities Teal Enamel Dots.

I added some 3D Foam Squares to the piece of ivory cardstock, the hat, and the diploma to add some dimension to the card.

The card base is a black A2 top folding card.  Both of these new stamp sets will be great to create quick and easy graduation cards with wonderful sentiments and Scriptures.

Please be sure to visit all of the blogs for today's blog hop!

#winter2017clh

Here is a look at the card I designed using the NEW Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Coffee or Tea? SS-023 stamp set and coordinating Stamp Simply Steel Dies - Coffee or Tea? SS-DIE011.  I also used some of the beautiful papers from Kaisercraft Letters to Santa.

Here is a look at the new stamp and die set.  The stamp set is filled with so many great sentiments and verses.  The die set is really fun because it allows you to build your cups.  So if you want to use different colors or patterns for the cup and the handle you can.  I think the font is so pretty on the word dies and I love the tiny tag too.  Also some of the sentiments are just the perfect size to fit in the tiny tag.

To start, I picked out the pattern paper for the cup and the handle.  The image of Santa is a punch out that is included in the paper pad.  I also took two strips of the red paper with the polk-a-dots that were 1/2" x 6 1/2" and scored the paper every 1/4".  Then I folded the paper and adhered the two ends.  This is the base for the rosette.  Position the paper so the polk-a-dot side is face up and then push towards to the center to create the rosette shape.  Add a bit of hot glue to hold in place.

Here you can see the coffee cup once it is assembled.  I used Delicata Golden Glitz Ink to ink all the edges of the coffee cup, handle, rosette, and image of Santa.

Next, I wanted to stamp the sentiment in the upper corner of the pattern paper.  I used the EK Success powder tool the prep the area before doing the heat embossing.  Doing this assures you only end up with the embossing powder in the areas you want it.  I used the Tim Holtz Tonic Stamp Platform to stamp my sentiment and have perfect placement.

I added Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder to the stamp sentiment and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.

Here is a close up of the embossed sentiment on the card.  For the tiny little gold beaded pearls I added some Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen for some sparkle and then I added a drop of Ranger Glossy Accents on each of them.  I also used some of the My Mind's Eye Charmed Enamel Dots in gold for embellishments on the card.

Here is a look at the cup on the front of the card.  I also added some on the enamel dots along the bottom under the cup.

To finish off the card I added the card front to a white A2 top folding card base.

You can click HERE to find out all of the details about the
2017 FALL Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

Here is a look at the card I designed for the 2017 FALL Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  You are also getting a sneak peek of the NEW  Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Welcome Fall SS-020 and  Stamp Simply Steel Dies - Welcome Fall Pumpkin SS-DIE009.  I also used a couple of the coffee cup images and part of a sentiment from the Altenew - Coffee Love stamp set.  I love being able to stretch my stamps or use multiple stamps to create something new and that is what I did for the sentiment on this card.

Using the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform makes it so easy to use multiple stamps and create your own unique images or sentiments.  To do this you can use a post-it note or even just a piece of paper.  Cover up the part of the stamp that you don't want to ink.  Then, ink up the other part of the stamp, remove the inky paper piece and stamp as usual.

You can see here I only inked up the part of the sentiment that says I love you more than with Memento Tuxedo Black.  This is a great sentiment because you can add so many different this after the word than to create unique and personalized sentiments.

Next I lined up the stamp from Welcome Fall SS-020.  I repeated the same process by covering part of the stamp, adding the ink, remove the paper and stamp.  On my card I used Altenew Warm and Cozy (Orange Cream) for the pumpkin spice part of the sentiment but in the photo I used black ink so it would show up better.  I repeated the same process for the word spice.

Here you can see a close up of the finished sentiment.  I inked the edges of the paper using a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Vintage Photo.  I added My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart Enamel Dots for embellishments and to pull in some of the aqua blue color from the pattern papers.

Here is a close up of the images.  I used Copic markers for all of the coloring.  I fussy cut the coffee cups and added some Foam Tape to the back.  I used the coordinating die for the pumpkin and I added two layers of foam tape to the pumpkin.

All of the pattern paper is from the  Bo Bunny Dreams of Autumn collection.  I used a white A2 top folding card base.  I hope you enjoyed today's card share!

Don't forget to check out The Stamp Simply Blog and 2017 FALL Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  All of the supplies used to create my card can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Authentique CAS Dapper Birthday Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) card to share with you.  I think this is the quickest card I have ever made and I used minimal supplies.

I needed a masculine birthday card and I knew the Authentique Dapper Collection 6 x 6 paper pad would make the perfect CAS card.  This paper pad is filled with cutout image so you would be able to create a lot of masculine cards.  I started with a white A2 top folding card base and added some of the pattern paper for the background.  I used the blue piece with little stars.  Then I layered it with another piece of the pattern paper with a grid background and the classic car image in the bottom right corner.

I used three of the cutout images from the paper pad.  I added Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares to the back of a couple images for some dimension.  To finish off the card I added a few My Mind's Eye Enamel Dots - Necessities Blues.

Like I said super quick card!  It's always nice to have the paper pads with cutout images for when you need a quick and CAS card.

I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog for lots of card inspiration from the design team.  All of the supplies used to create today's card can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Watercolor Coneflower Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Did you follow along last week with the New Releases from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store?  The release included two beautiful stamp sets for Fall and  coordinating die set.  In addition to those there are New Die Releases that coordinate with all of the stamp releases that have images to color.

For my card I used the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Thank You for Caring Coneflower SS-019.  I stamped the flower image on to Ranger - Watercolor paper using VersaMark Ink.  Then, I sprinkled on Ranger Super Fine White Embossing Powder and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.

All of the watercolor was done using the Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  For the center of the flower I used Fossilized Amber and for the petals  Hickory Smoke.  Whenever you want to have white flowers you will need to do the shading in gray colors.  I know it might sound strange but the gray actually makes the flower appear white and really makes it pop.  For the stem and leaves I used Twisted CitronMowed Lawn, and Peeled Paint.  The background was done using Faded Jeans and Stormy Sky.  Then I used the heat tool to speed up the drying time on the paper.  To finish the background I used Black Soot and added paint splatters.  Then I dried the paper one more time and added water droplets.  I trimmed the watercolor paper down and added a black mat.  I used Foam Tape behind the watercolor piece to add some dimension.  The background paper is from the Wild Rose Studio - Dancing Daisies.  I added May Arts 5/8" Solid Plaid Olive Ribbon and My Mind's Eye Record It Charmed Enamel Dots.

To finish off the card I added the card front to a black A2 top folding card.  This is a really quick and easy watercolor card with no special techniques so it would be a great card to make multiples of.

I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  If you missed seeing the New Release last week I encourage you to visit the Stamp Simply Blog for lots of inspiration.  If you are looking for any paper crafting goodies be sure to check out The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi
