Hello everyone! Today, I have another Guest Designer post for the New Releases for Joy Clair. They have a wonderful New Release and a great line up of Guest Designers so I hope you will join us this week. Be sure to check out the Joy Clair Blog each day for Giveaways!
Today, the stamp set that we are featuring is called, Hugs and Smiles Clear Stamps.
This is the card I designed using the Hugs and Smiles Clear Stamps. I have to say I think this is my favorite stamp set in this release. I started out with a piece of Strathmore Mixed Media paper and I heat embossed the floral image using VersaMark ink, white embossing powder and a heat tool. I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors to paint the image and the background. I used my heat tool several times during the painting and added layers of paint. With watercolor if you wanting to create some depth you need to make sure the paint is dry before you add another layer. Once the entire piece was dry then I mixed some of the white paint with water and tapped on my brush to add the tiny paint splatters.
Here is a close up.
For the sentiment I used StazOn Jet Black ink.
I trimmed down the watercolor piece and added some craft foam to the back. Then I placed it on a white A2 top fold card base. To finish off the card I added some sequins for a little bit of sparkle.
Please be sure to visit the Joy Clair Blog to see all of the New Releases and for a chance to win some stamps! Also please be sure to visit the link list below with some wonderful Guest Designers.
I will be back on Thursday with another card to share with you from the Joy Clair New Release.
