For my project I altered a little keepsake box using several of the ribbons from the March Ribbon Club Assortment. I used the sparkly coral ribbon around the outer edges of the box and then I made a decorative bow using the same ribbon. I layered a couple piece of pattern paper from the Follow Your Heart Be Happy Collection from My Mind's Eye. I ♥ this paper collection!! I also used one of the Be Happy Transparency Frames on top of the pattern papers.
I used one of the Be Happy Chipboard Elements for a banner at the top and then I added ribbon tails on each end and embellished with a few tiny Ivory Pearls. I also used some pieces of the green ribbon with a heavy string to create little pennants for another banner and then I added a pearl to the center of each pennant.
Here is another view so you can see the bow at the top.
To create the bow I cut a total of five pieces with three different lengths.
Next I glued the ends to create little loops and then I layered the ribbon loops to create the bow.
To create the dress and dress form I used S5-088 Sewing Elements to cut/emboss the die cut and then I inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Next I layered and glued three piece of ribbon on top of the dress form to create a dress. To finish off the dress I added a piece of Noelle Crochet Lace Trim.
I added a couple of clusters of flowers to two of the corners. The coral colored roses were made using S5-086 Bitty Blossoms die templates and the Distrezz-it-All and then I added Diamond Clear Glitter. All of the other flowers and leaves are from I am Roses.
Here is a close up of the bird house charm. I used S5-033 Bird Sanctuary die template, shrink plastic, Scrap Happy Sheer Glue and Bronze Medal Glitter to create the sparkling charm. Then I added some pearls and jewelry findings.
This is how the box opens up.
I had so much fun creating this little keepsake box and finding some different and creative ways to use the ribbons.
