Crafty Secrets Design Team Gift Bag/Envelope Challenge

Good morning blogging friends! Today, is the Crafty Secrets Design Team monthly challenge. For this month Sandy and Vicki challenged us to make a gift bag using an envelope. Click HERE to watch a video on how to make the gift bags using an envelope! Each of the Design Team Members picked a theme for their project and I picked Halloween.

I made a Halloween treat bag and a matching Halloween Tag for my project.

I started with a 6 1/4'' x 6 1/4'' envelope. I sealed the envelope and then cut off the fold at the top allowing for the opening. Then I scored the three sides with the folds at 1/2''. To create the decorative edge I used E8-001 Classic Scallop Edgeabilities® from Spellbinders™ and then I inked all the edges with Old Paper Distress Ink.

The pattern paper is from the Creating with Vintage Patterns CD from Crafty Secrets and I inked the edges with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

I used some of the images and chipboard pieces from Crafty Secrets Halloween Vintage Postcard Kits to embellish the treat bag.

I layered the papers, chipboard pieces and a few Halloween die cuts as shown. Then I added green trim and black lace to the top of the treat bag. I added some Purple Rhinestones along the scalloped border and then I added some glitter for a little sparkle and filled the treat bag with some yummy chocolate!

To create the tag I started with a piece of Simply Smooth Ivory and stamped several images from the Costume Cuties Stamp Set from Crafty Secrets. Then I inked the edges with Old Paper Distress Ink.

I used Copic markers to color the images.

I layered the papers, added glitter and rhinestones as shown and then I added green trim and black lace to the top and bottom of the tag.

In this picture you can see some of the sparkle from the glitter.

Please be sure to visit each of the Design Team Member to see what they have to share with you. With all of the different themes I know I can't wait to see what they created!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a Fantastic Day!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi
