Hello and Good morning! I am so excited to be the GDT for Really Reasonable Ribbon!! Today, I have a wall hanging, two cards and a ribbon rose tutorial to share with you. Here is the wall hanging I designed with the ribbon roses. Before I get started with the tutorial I want to show you the yummy colors of ribbon I was able to work with on my projects. This is the New Dark Satin w/ Grosgrain Edge Assortment. So beautiful--I love these colors!!To get started I cut a 12 inch piece of ribbon. Then I made cuts about 1 inch apart going right up to the edge on the entire piece of ribbon. Next I trimmed the corners. After I trimmed the corners then I carefully heat set the ribbon. I Placed a piece of foil on a cookie sheet and used a stylus to hold down the ribbon. I let the heat tool get really hot and then I heated the ribbon. The edges of the ribbon will start to curl as it heats up. Heat one petal at a time. **Please note the ribbon can heat up really fast and you want to be careful not to scorch it. The next step is to assemble the rose. On the first petal I applied glue in a sideways L shape. Then I start to roll the ribbon. I kept adding glue and rolling the ribbon one petal at a time. As you can see from the photo the rose is starting to take shape. Here is the end result beautiful dimensional ribbon roses. These little roses will make the perfect embellishments for all your paper crafting projects. Here is one more close up of the wall hanging.
Next I have two cards to share with you. For this first card I used three colors of the ribbon from the New Dark Satin w/ Grosgrain Edge Assortment package.Using the ribbon I was able to create a quick and easy background. For the second card I used two colors of ribbon from the New Dark Satin w/ Grosgrain Edge Assortment package. I used the lavender ribbon to create a border and the green ribbon to make leaves for my tissue paper flower.
