Hello! Today, I have a little surprise for you!! I have been wanting to do video tutorials for awhile now and we purchased a new video camera right before Christmas but with the holidays and CHA I just didn't have the time to figure out how to use the new camera and then how to actually upload it to YouTube and get it on my blog--LOL! BUT I have figured it out!! *wink* Today, I have my first video tutorial to share with you!!! I am pretty excited about being able to do this, can you tell? LOL!! I have already shown you this technique in a step-by-step tutorial (click HERE to see) but I received so many wonderful comments, questions and emails about the felt rolled roses that I thought this would be a good start for my first video tutorial.
Supplies
Dies: Spellbinder™ Grand Calibur™, S4-124 Classic Scalloped Circles Large die #3

Did you enjoy the video tutorial? I would love to hear what you think!! But remember it's my first one so be gentle--LOL! Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a Fantastic weekend!!

Heidi
I can't believe this is your first...GREAT job....LOVE the roses!! I'm going to make some for Easter and sympathy cards!! Easy peasy!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Kim - great job on your video!! I like how you did the step-outs...not having viewers wait while you cut the entire spiral or coloring the felt. VERY GOOD!! Looking forward to viewing more!! Have a great weekend, my friend! xo
ReplyDeleteYou did an awesome tutorial, thank you again for sharing your technique with us. The roses are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteFantastic job, I think I can go home and lift this idea...oh I already told you that.....love your projects too, you always do such a great job of explaining exactly what you have to do to recreate your creations. Thanks for your ideas.
ReplyDeleteLove this video Heidi! Love those rolled felt flowers!
ReplyDeleteGreat tutorial Keep them coming
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this before....WOW...can't wait to try it....thank you!
ReplyDeleteYour video was really well done I have watched many videos and few have come up to your standard cant wait to see any others you are doing
ReplyDeleteYou did an exellent video. Love your cards. They are always so beautiful. By the way, where do you get your spellbinders pearls that match the dies? Thanks
ReplyDeletepat.kinser@cox.net
congrats on your first video- "you did good"-actually you did great - can't believe it was your first and it's always easier to create when you see it done first. Thanks
ReplyDeleteGreat job with your first video and I hope to see many more.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your talent.
Heidi, great job on your first video. Well done!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job! Great to hear your voice, stranger! Did you use regular felt or the stiff kind? I know the stiff kind is easier to diecut but this looked soft. Did it cut in one pass. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have seen many tutorials......I believe this is the best one I have ever seen. Great tone (that's a gift because most I can't get through) Your ease of explaining was right on target.
ReplyDeletegreat job......hopefully this will be the first of many

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. Edna
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 1st video! I hope there are many more to come. This is a great fun technique--love the felt! I didn't know I could use my Spellbinder dies to cut fabric with, so this is very inspiring!

Your tutorial was great! It looked
ReplyDeleteand sounded like you have been
making them before. I really enjoyed the process of making the
roses - it looks more complicated
than it really is and I liked
that you didn't go fast. So
congrats! Think I'll give it a
try -Thanks for sharing and make
some more tutorials.
Love your video. The roses are really cute and the cards you made were beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI really liked that you didn't move too fast. The camera can't focus fast enough on some craft videos when they move in and out too quickly and them the item's gone.
Great job. Can't wait to see more.
Loved the video tutorial, you did a great job! I've always wondered if that Fabri-Tac really worked. Now I have to get some and try this felt rose. Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteAs one teacher to another: excellent job~~clear and step by step...so easy to follow! THANKS
ReplyDeleteYou did a fantastic tutorial....easy to follow too! I am going to give this a try!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for taking the time...
I think you are meant to create videos Heidi! Your voice is perfect for it and the instructions are very good. I appreciate the details from beginning to end. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWonderful tutorial, Heidi!
ReplyDeleteVery nice video, beautiful cards!
ReplyDeleteHope there will be many more video tutorials to come. Glad you showed that you don't have to buy a specific die for the rolled roses. I already have the scalloped dies and wouldn't have thought about using it for making the rolled roses.
ReplyDeleteGreat tutorial. I love this rose. I have alot of felt, so now I know what I'm going to use it for. Please do more videos. Cindy
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your first tutorial. Love the rose technique and your wonderful cards.
ReplyDeleteMarcie
Keep 'em comin' Heidi. You spoke so clearly and slowly. I got to work right...only had turquoise felt, but I'm heading to the store this weekend. These are just in time for my mini Easter baskets.
