I can't believe how quickly the school year flew by!! My youngest son asked if I could make a gift for his teacher and he knew exactly what he wanted me to make.

He thought a little purse with some candy and a card would be great. LOL! Here is the card and the purse I created for his teacher. We filled the purse with Ghirardelli Chocolates for a yummy little treat.

To create the purse I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More Cricut cartridge. The designer paper is from the
Shabby Green Door. I used
Crafty Power Tape 81' from
SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES By 3L™ on the tabs of the purse to put it together.

I used stamps from the
Crafty Secrets NEW
Bonjour Merci! stamp set with Rich Cocoa ink to create the scallops and the flourishes on the purse. Then I applied Vintage Photo ink to the entire piece.

I stamped the flourishes with Rich Cocoa ink and then I added a pearly button and some
pink rhinestones to the top half of the purse.

I stamped the scalloped floral border going all around the bottom of the purse with Rich Cocoa ink. Then I colored the flowers and leaves with
Copic markers. I edges the scallops with a Metallic Gold Gelly Roll Pen from
Sakura and added
pink rhinestones.

Here is another picture of the purse from a different angle and you can see the inside of the purse. I like using a double sided paper to create little purses, this way the inside is just as pretty as the outside. I also added some larger
pink rhinestones on the handle to dress it up a bit.

For the card I used a lot of the same product as the purse--the
designer paper,
stamps, ink and
Copic markers. I used a chocolate brown cardstock for the base of the card and the die cut of the lady. The lady and label diecuts were made using the Sentimentals Cricut cartridge. For the label I used white cardstock, inked the edges with vintage photo ink, added
pink rhinestones and used
3D Foam Squares from
SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L™ to add a little dimension. On the bottom I added some
lace trim and buttons.
