Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage - CHA Sneak Peek - Altered Cookbook

Before I show you the altered cookbook that I designed I want to share a little CHA Crafty Secrets Sneak Peek! Here is a collage picture of some of the wonderful products Crafty Secrets will be releasing at CHA---Five New Stamp Sets, New Creative Scraps and some other top secret stuff I can't share just yet--LOL! Lots of fun stamp set and beautiful vintage images!!

Today I have a little altered cookbook that I created to share with you. I think I used almost everything kitchen related that Crafty Secrets offers! The cookbook is filled with wonderfully sweet vintage kitchen images. Here is a picture of the cover. To create the altered cookbook I started with the Sweet Chips Chipboard Rectangle Album. I covered the chipboard with designer paper from the Radiant Paper Pad using Mod Podge for an adhesive. Then I sanded and inked the edges of the chipboard. Here you can see the sanded edges.Once the front and back covers were done then I started to alter the cover.I love this image--it's so darling! The image of the three little girls and the chipboard is from the Kitchen Mail (107) Vintage Postcard Kits. This piece was done exactly like the covers--mod podge, sanding and inking. I also added some stickers from the Heartwarming Vintage Stickers What's Cooking Sheet and some ribbon and lace trim.A few vintage buttons. I love all of the crackled detail in the red one!The Recipe Book label is from Kitchen Time Vintage Cuts.Next made five pages for the dividers. All of the pages are basically the same but just with different vintage images and stamps. I used ivory cardstock, rounders the corners with a punch and inked the edges. I also used a label die cut made from Spellbinders™ S3-009 Antique Plate Two die template on each page. Here's the first page. The vintage image and sentiment strips is from the Domestic Goddess Creative Scraps, Stamped images are from Kitchen Classic (apron, border), and Sweet Stuff (spoon, sentiment). The label sticker is from Heartwarming Vintage Stickers What's Cooking Sheet. I also colored some of the details with Copic markers.Vintage images are from the Homemade Images & Journal Notes. The stamped images are from Kitchen Classic. The label sticker is from Heartwarming Vintage Stickers What's Cooking Sheet. I also colored some of the details with a Copic marker.Vintage images are from the Homemade Images & Journal Notes. The stamped images are from Kitchen Classic.
