Hello everyone! Today, I want to introduce to you a couple of my fellow bloggers/design team members from Tonic Studios USA. We have a fantastic group of designers and they are all so talented. Some of the names might be familiar to you and some might be new but I strongly encourage you to pay them a visit on their blogs/website/or gallery. You will surly be inspired by their creative works!
The first blogger/designer I would like to introduce you to is Debbie Seyer. Debbie and I have been long time friends and we were even roomies at one of our Spellbinders design team retreats years ago. She is the sweetest person and amazingly talented! We have a lot in common and seem to chat or text everyday. :) Over the years we have had lots of laughs, and a few tears but we are always there for each other no matter what! She is my rock and I love her dearly!! We have been very fortunate to work together over the years for some fantastic companies in the crafting industry.
Debbie Seyer lives outside St. Louis Missouri. She is a mom to three beautiful daughters and married to her hubby for 24 years. Her paper crafting journey started when her whole family went to Disney World in 1996. She started scrapbooking and finally found a hobby where she could actually complete her projects. In 2003, a friend invited her to a rubber stamping home workshop and she fell in love with cardmaking. . She is has been published multiple times in paper crafting and scrapbooking magazines. “I love working on Design Teams and have been very blessed to be on some really great teams. Besides paper crafting, I help with funeral luncheons at our church, am the taxi driver to a variety of places for my youngest daughter and the chief care package sender to my older 2 girls while they are away at college.” Debbie can be found at her blog DebbieSeyer.com
The next blogger/designer I would like to introduce you to is Michele Emerson-Roberts. Michele and I met several years back and our paths have crossed a few times through mutual friends. Michele, is a huge advocate for designers in the industry and she is one of the founders of the CHA DESIGNER section (Craft and Hobby Association). Michele has also served on the Designer Section Council, Council Chair, Council
Secretary, Directory Committee, Liaison to CHA Board, Liaison to
the Membership Committee, Designer Showcase Lead, and Champion of
Designers! WOW!! It's designers like Michele that have paved the way for so many of us and help designers to be recognized in this industry. She is so sweet and I am honored to call her my friend!
Michele, a Certified Professional Demonstrator, was one of the first to obtain the Certified Craft Designer award, and the only person in the industry to hold 3 separate Certified Professional Teacher awards, has been an active voice in the industry and continues to champion the Designers’ role in the creative industry. Michele, whose designs can be found in many books and magazines, is an award winning oil, acrylic and water color artist, and multi faceted designer with a love of paper/book arts, beading, polymer clay and painting. Her long history in the industry has allowed her to experiment with and become proficient at most of the art and craft genres. Her favorite item to design with has always been paper, be it molded, cut, pierced, painted, folded, glued or torn. Michele believes there is no such thing as an ugly or useless piece of paper, just one that has not found its’ way into the perfect project. Her love of paper has led her into creating handmade paper, paper casting, collage and “altered art”, with many of her designs influenced by her Native American heritage.
Michele splits her time between her two residences and studios, one at the base of the Huachuca Mountains in Southeastern Arizona, the other in the White Mountains in Northern Arizona. You can find her at her blog, micheleemersonroberts.blogspot.com
Now I would like to introduce you to Karen Hasheck. Karen and I are just getting to know each other but I know she has a great love and passion for papercrafting! Karen is also the owner of a charitable blog called Send A Smile 4 Kids--they collect and distribute handmade cards for children inpatient in 17 children’s hospitals. What an amazing gift! For more information you can click HERE to visit Send A Smile 4 Kids.
Karen lives in chilly north central Wisconsin. She discovered stamping and card making in the spring of 1999 and has been totally addicted to this awesome hobby ever since. She is recently retired and am having so much fun sharing card making ideas on her blog almost every day at karenskreativekards.blogspot.com and in classes she teaches in her home. She is a frequently published author of articles about stamping techniques in Scrap and Stamp Arts and on line stamping magazines, and has had hundreds of her cards published. She is the owner of a charitable blog called Send a Smile 4 Kids where they collect and distribute handmade cards for children inpatient in 17 children’s hospitals. “I am thrilled to be named a Tonic Gold US Blog Ambassador!”
