Hello blogging friends! Tomorrow, starts the first day of the November New Releases for JustRite® Papercraft. I am very excited to be able to share a sneak peek with you today!
Here is one of the newest stamp sets in the release from JustRite® Papercraft - CL-04855 Shoes Vintage Labels Six Cling Stamps. I think this stamp set is so pretty. I love the shoes and the vintage look to this stamp set! This stamp set also coordinates with JustRite Custom Dies: JB-04825 Vintage Labels Five Dies and JB-04830 Vintage Labels Six Dies.
Here is the card that I designed using CL-04855 Shoes Vintage Labels Six Cling Stamps. The bouquet of flowers in this stamp set was designed to go with the boot--to be able to create a little bouquet inside the boot. I have a step-by-step tutorial to share with you showing how I used the masking technique to create the pretty bouquet inside and around the boot.
If you are new to stamping and you have never tried the masking technique you will need some very light weight paper--like copy paper or post-it notes work great, a scissors and a glue stick or two-way glue pen. I used post-it notes for this project--yellow paper. Doing the masking technique allows you to layer your stamps and make it look like one larger image. To start I stamped the image of the boot. Then I stamped the flower bouquet on each side of the boot at the top. Next I stamped the image of the booth and the bouquet a couple of times on to the post-it notes and then I fussy cut the images. I cut them slightly smaller (coming inside the line) then the image. To hold the paper in place I used a two-way glue pen on the back side of the paper where is wasn't already sticky. When using the two-way glue pen you want the paper to be just a little tacky--not to permanently stick it in place. I placed the fussy cut images on top of the images that were already stamped--as shown in the photo. Then I stamped the bouquet of flowers in the background.
In this picture you can see at the top of the boot once the post-it notes were removed it looks like a larger bouquet of flowers. I also stamped the bouquet a couple of times around the bottom of the boot as shown in this photo.
Here is a close up of the finished image. What do you think?
Here is a close of the image once it was colored. I used Copic markers for all of the coloring. For die cutting the shapes I used S5-025 Labels Seventeen, S5-148 Fancy Labels Eight and S6-001 5x7 Matting Basics A die templates all from Spellbinders Creative Arts®.
For embellishments on the card I used May Arts 1/4'' Silk Ribbon Pink, Prima Flowers Abbey-Pink and Kaiser Craft Light Pink all from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. I also added a little bit of Diamond Stickles for some sparkle.
Here is a close up of all the Copic markers I used to color the image.
For the paper I used simply smooth white, pink lemonade and metallic blue. I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® EZ Runner® Permanent Strips-Refillable Dispenser 49' to adhere all of the paper layers and 3D Foam Squares to add some dimension in between the layers.
