Crafty Secrets Design Team Christmas Challenge

Good morning! It's time for another Crafty Secrets Challenge and this month Vicki Chrisman our Design Team Coordinator gave us a challenge to create something for Christmas using the wonderful Crafty Secrets products. There are so many products to choose from for Christmas--Stamps, Creative Scraps, Journal Image & Note Booklets and Christmas Vintage Postcard Kits just to name a few. I can't wait to see what the girls have been busy creating!! Please see a link list at the bottom of this post and be sure to visit the Crafty Secrets Blog and Design Team Members. Also, this month we have the wonderfully creative and ever so talented Anna Wight joining us for the challenge. Welcome Anna!!

For the challenge this month I created a Christmas Wall Hanging. To create the wall hanging I used the Crafty Secrets Seasons Greetings Clear Art Stamp Set and the Crafty Secrets Merry Christmas Creative Scraps. I also used the Grand Calibur™ and LF-190 Grand Labels Four from Spellbinders™ to create the base for the wall hanging. To start I stamped the image of the adorable little girl using Rich Cocoa ink. I used Simply Smooth White Cardstock. Next I added color using Copic markers. I used three shades of green for the holly. Then I colored the berries. For the coat and hat I used a light pink, a medium rose colors and a deep rose color.Next I colored the face and arm and I used a little bit of blush color to give her cheeks a little pink color.I colored the hair a golden brown.I used two shades to color her boots.Lastly a touch of blue for the eyes and pink for the lips. I used the S4-294 Beaded Ovals die #4 and S4-303 Crowned Ovals die #4 to make the oval die cuts. Using Antique Linen ink I left the cardstock in the die templates and inked through using the die template as a stencil. I layered the two pieces together using 3D Foam Squares from SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES By 3L™.The printed image is from the Christmas Creative Scraps and I used the Grand Calibur™ and LF-190 Grand Labels Four die #4 to cut/emboss the image. Then I added some color to the image using Copic markers.I made a bow to use on the bottom and then I lightly misted it with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels. I also used the LF-190 Grand Labels Four dies # 5, 6 to create a mat and then I layered all of the pieces. Here is a close up of the Santa. I colored the Santa hat, added so Liquid Applique` and then some glitter. I also used the postcard image from the Merry Christmas Creative Scraps and distressed the edges. The image of the little girl was colored with Copic markers and then I added Liquid Applique` and glitter. I also added tiny pearls. I added some color to the boy and girl and then added Liquid Applique` and glitter to the area with snow. I added snowflake buttons (with the backs removed) and pink rhinestones on the top. To dress up the bottom half I used some Christmas greens, glittered fern and white berries with a bow.
