Crafty Secrets Christmas-Ornaments, a Stocking and a Shadow Box!

Recently I spent the afternoon at Scrapping On The Go! doing demos and make-n-takes with Crafty Secrets products for the Holiday Open House. Here are a few of the designs that I shared with them.

Using Santa images from the Seasonal Heartwarming Vintage Booklet I made three Christmas Ornaments. The base for the ornaments is a piece of CS that was cut using the Labels Large (S4-168) die from Spellbinders Paper Arts. For this ornament I used the holly image from the Christmas Joy stamp set along with Bottle (green), Ranger Adirondack Ink and then I inked the edges with Ranger, Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I added some glitter to the Santa image and added a little piece of green trim at the top and a couple of buttons. On this ornament I stamped the snowflake image from the Christmas Joy stamp set around the edges using Ranger, Vintage Photo Distress Ink and inked the edges. I added a chipboard flourish from Maya Roads to the top of the ornament. The chipboard was covered with Vintage Photo Ink and then I added glitter to the entire piece. A little piece of lace was added to the bottom along with a couple of buttons. This is the third ornament in the set and for this one I used the flourish stamp from the Christmas Joy stamp set with Ranger, Cranberry Adirondack Ink around the edges. Then I added Vintage Photo Ink to the edges. Some glitter was added to the Santa and around the outside of the ornament and then some dark red lace and buttons to the bottom.

Here is a Christmas stocking that I altered.I found the stocking at Joann's for a little over a dollar, it's red felt. This was a really quick and easy project to make and no sewing involved!! Everything was applied to the stocking using Fabri-Tac from Beacon. I LOVE this stuff!! If you haven't ever used Fabri-Tac it's a permanent adhesive that is clear and will bond fabric, lace and trim. The image in the center is from the Winter Cotton Scraps. I think this image of the little girl whispering in Santa's ear is so adorable! I added a little glitter and some tiny clear and red rhinestones around the Santa image. Then I added some lace and snowflake buttons. At the top I added some lace trim, a couple of snowflake buttons and a beautiful blue bow. I used the blue ribbon for the bow to pick up some of the blue in the little girls dress. For the heel and toe I used pieces from a doily.

Here is a Shadow Box that I altered. I found this cute little shadow box at the $ store. It started out as raw wood and I added glimmer mist the the entire box. Once the glimmer mist was dry I cleaned off the glass on the box. Here is a picture with the lid open. The sweet little birdies image is from the Christmas Image & Journal Notes Booklet from Crafty Secrets. First I added a piece of white lace to the top. Then I cut around the scalloped frame of the image to show off the detail. I glued the image to a piece of chipboard to give it some dimension. Then I added some glitter to the image and some red rhinestones and glued this into the box. I had a pine sprig with some holly and berries that I cut apart and then glued into the bottom corner using hot glue.
