The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Easter Blessings Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  For my card I am using some of the beautiful pattern papers from Wild Rose Studio.

I used the Harvest Meadow paper collection for my card.  Even though the paper pad is a harvest one and has wonderful papers with fall colors it also has several papers that will work for spring and summer.  The floral prints are so pretty with coral, pink, white and a touch of yellow and lavender.  I layered two of the pattern papers and then I added the 1.5" Delicate Vintage Lace by May Arts and Melon Seam Binding with a bow.

The sentiment is from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Easter SS-Sent006 stamp set.  I used the velvet ink from the  Altenew - 4 Ink Cubes Red Sunset to stamp the sentiment.  Then I used Spellbinders Labels Forty-two Decorative Accents to die cut the label shape.  I left the paper in the die template and inked the outside edges of the paper with crimson ink from the Altenew - 4 Ink Cubes Red Sunset.  I added some foam squares to the back of the label for some added dimension.  Then I added a few enamel dots and some Petaloo Botanica Collection Coral Minis.

Here is a close up of the lace and the bow.

To finish the card I added all of the layers to a white A2 top folding card base.  I know a lot of people store crafting products by the colors and by the seasons.  But this is one of those paper pads that I would keep out and use year round.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - CAS For God so Loved the World Easter Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) card to share with you.  It won't be long and the Easter season will be here so it's a good time to start working on some Easter Cards.

For my card I used one of the Easter Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - SS-005 He Has Risen and the Altenew Clear Stamps - Floral Shadow.  The He Has Risen stamp set has some wonderful sentiments and verses for Easter.  To start the card I had a piece of white cardstock and I stamped a couple of the leaf images around the outer edges of the paper.  I used Altenew - 4 Ink Cubes Sea Shore (Mountain Mist) to stamp the leaves.  I wanted to add a textured look to the leaves so instead of inking up the stamp like usual (tapping the ink pad on the stamp), I lightly ran the ink pad up and down on the stamp.  Doing this added some detailed lines and a textured look to the images.

Here is a close up so you can see the detail.  It's very subtitle but it does give the image a different look.  Next I inked the edges of the paper using Tim Holtz - Distress Ink Cracked Pistachio which looks very nice with the Altenew Mountain Mist ink.

Once the paper was good and dry then I stamped a sentiment from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - SS-005 He Has Risen using VersaMark Ink.  I added Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder and used my heat tool to heat set and melt the powder.

I added the card front to an A2 white top folding card base and I used some  Foam Squares in between the layers for some added dimension. To finish off the card I added a thin strip of the Bazzill - Gold Mirror Cardstock along the side and then I added a few My Mind's Eye - Record It! Charmed Enamel Dots.  I'll tell you a little secret--I hadn't planned on using the gold mirror cardstock.  However, after I stamped the sentiment I realized it was off center--not by a lot but enough that I noticed it lol.  I didn't want to scrap the card so I added the thin strip of paper to the left side of the card front and it kind of tricks the eye making the card look balanced. Just a nice little trick to remember in case you sentiment isn't centered. :)

I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  If you would like to see more paper crafting inspiration check out the Stamp Simply Blog.  If you would like you can also visit The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store to find all of your paper crafting supplies.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Altenew Beautiful Day Card with Dye and Pigment Ink Tutorial

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I have a card and a tutorial to share with you using dye and pigment inks to achieve a different look for layering stamps.

Here is the card I designed.  I used the  Altenew - Beautiful Day Clear Stamp set.  This is such a beautiful stamp set and it can be used in so many different ways depending on how you layer the images or if you just use the outline.

For the first stamped layer I used Rocky Shore from the Altenew - 4 Cube Inks Coffee Break.

Next, I used white pigment ink for the second layer of stamping. I just love how the white ink looks on the kraft paper.

Then, for the third layer of ink I used Mocha which is also from the Altenew - 4 Cube Inks Coffee Break.  After stamping this layer I used a heat tool to dry the inks and also make sure all of the paper was dry before added embossing powder.  I like to pour a little embossing powder on my paper to check and make sure it is good and dry before moving on to the next step.

For the forth and finally stamped layer I used VersaMark Ink and then I added Ranger - Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  I used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powders.

I stamped the leaves the same way I stamped the large flowers except I didn't use the Mocha ink since the leaves only have three layers of stamping.  For the tiny vines and flowers I stamped all of those with VersaMark Ink and then I added Ranger - Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  I used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powders.  Then for a little sparkle I added some  Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the flower centers, vines, and tiny flowers.  To seal in the sparkle and to add a little dimension I added some  Ranger - Glossy Accents.

Here is a close up so you can see some of the sparkle.

Here is another close up.

The sentiment I used is also from the Altenew - Beautiful Day Clear Stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment on to a piece of Vellum using VersaMark Ink.  Then I added Ranger - Super Fine White Embossing Powder and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powders.  Make sure your heat tool is good and hot before you bring it to the paper.  This will help melt the powder faster and also help to keep the vellum from warping.  I wrapped the vellum around the back of the paper and taped it in place.

Here is a close up of the bottom portion of the card.

To add a bit more sparkle I added some Prima - Say It In Crystals A Victorian Christmas (Gold Sequins) and  5 mm Crystal Cup Sequins.  To finish off the card I added the card front to a white A2 top folding card base and I added some foam squares in between the layers for added dimension.

I hope you enjoyed today's card share and tutorial!  Experiment with your ink mixing the the dye base and pigment inks to see what kind of fun and unique looked you can come up with.  Just be sure to clean your stamps good in between the inks.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Altenew Vintage Teacup Watercolor and Graphic45 Cafe Parisian Collection

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a card to share with you using some of the New Altenew products that Sharon has in the store.  You can click HERE to check out all of the beautiful stamps, dies, and inks from Altenew.

Here is the card I designed.  As soon as I saw the Altenew - Vintage Teacup Clear Stamp Set  I knew it was one I had to have.  I love all thinks vintage, anything tea or coffee related, and I have a teacup collection that was my Great Grandma's.  The vintage teacup stamp set is a layering set and can be used in several ways.  If you want a very simple image you can use the outline stamps or if you want something fancier you can use the detail layers and the floral images.  The set also has two stamps with polk-a-dots.  I used the outline images, detail layers, and the floral stamps for my cup. The stamp set also has some really great sentiments.

I stamped the cup and saucer with VersaMark ink on to a piece of Ranger Watercolor paper (on the smooth side).  Next, I added Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the embossing powder.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to watercolor the images.  For the main part of the cup and saucer I used Broken China and Peacock Feathers.  For the flowers I used Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, and Spiced Marmalade and for the leave I used Cracked Pistachio.  Once the paper was dry then I used the coordinating Altenew - Vintage Teacup Die to cut both of the shapes.  For the sentiment I used VersaMark ink and stamped one of the sentiments on to a small piece of white cardstock.  Then I added more of the Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the embossing powder.  I cut one end of the paper like a banner and then I inked the edges of the paper with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.  I layered a couple of the beautiful pattern papers from the Graphic45 - Cafe Parisian Collection 8 x 8 Paper Pad.  The paper and the stamp set really compliment each other.

I added some May Arts Teal Silk 1/4'' Ribbon and Venise Lace .75" - Lucia White to the middle of the card and then I also added a bow.  The cup and saucer were layered over the ribbon, lace, and pattern papers and I used some Therm-O-Web Foam Squares behind the cup and saucer for some added dimension. I added the card front with all of the layered to a white A2 top folding card.  Then I added the sentiment using a few more foam squares.  To finish off the card I added a Prima Flower Serenade Orange to the center of the bow.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed today's card share.
