The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Graphic 45 I'm Really A Mermaid Card

Hello everyone!  It's Friday so that means it's my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  Today, I have a fun mermaid card filled with lots of layers and sparkle to share with you.

Here is the card I designed using some of the beautiful pattern papers from the  Graphic 45 - Voyage Beneath the Sea 8 x 8 Paper Collection and American Crafts Heidi Swapp Glitter Paper 8.5x8.5.  The card base is a white 5.5 x 5.5 top folding card.  I started with a layer of the aqua glitter paper from Heidi Swapp.  Then I used the Spellbinders - Labels Twenty-Eight to create two of the label die cut shapes.  The wide mermaid border is also from the G45 paper pad.  I fussy cut the sentiment - I'm really a Mermaid and then I layered it with aqua glitter paper and white cardstock.  I used Scor-Tape and Therm-O-Web Foam Squares in between the different layers of paper.

Once all of the paper die cuts and layers were adhered to the card front then I added some Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the mermaid's body, starfish, shells, fish, bubbles, and part of the sentiment.  I added Ranger - Glossy Accents on top of all of the same areas.  Once the glossy accents was dry then I added some Prima Say It In Crystals - Royal MenageriePetaloo Botanica Collection Sugared Blooms Teal and Prima Flowers - Serenade Orange.

Here is close up to see the sparkle and glossy accents.  This is such a fun paper collection from G45 with the magical mystery of mermaids and a touch of steampunk.  Plus anything with mermaids is such a hot trend right now.

Here is one more close up so you can see where I added the sparkle and glossy accents to the tiny fish and starfish in the border.  You can also see the Prima crystals.  They are so pretty and change colors when the light hits them--they look like they have glitter in them.

Please be sure to check out The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all of your paper crafting needs and also visit the Stamp Simply Blog for more inspiration from the design team.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Pink Ink Stamp Company - Flowery Flip Flops Watercolor Card

Hello everyone! Today, I have to a fun and colorful summertime card to share with you.  I used some of the rubber stamps from the Summer Fun 2016 collection from Pink Ink Stamp Company to create an embossed resist watercolor card.

This is almost a one layer card.  I used Versa Mark ink to randomly stamp the Flowery Flip Flops stamp on to a piece of Strathmore mixed media paper.  Then I added white embossing powder and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.  Next I used Distress Inks on a craft mat and added water to them to create the rainbow watercolor look on the card front.  I added clean water to the entire piece of paper and then added the color.  Doing this helps the colors to flow and blend together.  I added a couple of layer of color and used a heat tool to speed up the drying time. These are the colors of Distress Ink I used -- picked raspberry, ripe persimmon, squeezed lemonade, mowed lawn, salty ocean, seedless preserved.

Once the paper was dry I used a slightly damp paper towel to wipe off the excess ink on top of the embossing.  Doing this will really help to make the white embossed areas pop.  Next I stamped the Flip Flop Life sentiment on to a piece of velum using Versa Mark ink and heat set with white embossing powder. I taped the velum to the back side of the card.  Then I added some white craft foam to the back of the paper using scor-tape.  I mounted the card front to an A2 top folding white card base.

To finish off the card I added some crystal reflections sequins for a little bit of sparkle. I love how the sequins match the rainbow colors so perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed today's card!  Thanks so much for stopping by the Pink Ink Blog.  I hope you have a beautiful and creative day!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Altenew Spring Daisy Hello Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a beautiful summertime card to share with you.

Here is the card I designed using the Altenew Clear Stamps - Spring Daisy stamp set.  Yellow is a color I don't tend to use a lot but I love the soft yellow colors in the Altenew - Summer Afternoon ink collection and they are perfect for the daisies.

I started buy stamping all of the colored parts of the flowers and leaves first.  For the larger daisy I used Buttercream and Paper Bag inks and for the smaller daisy I used Warm Sunshine and Caramel Toffee.  The green for the leaves is Forest Glades and that is from the Altenew - Green Fields ink collection.  Once I was done stamping the colored images then I used my heat tool to heat set the paper and make sure the ink was dry.  For the gold on the flowers I stamped the outline images using VersaMark Ink.  Then I added Ranger - Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  I used my heat tool to melt and heat set the embossing powders.  When I was done with all of the embossing then I added the stamped panel to a piece of Gold Bazzill Mirror Cardstock.  I created a bow using some Antique Gold Seam Binding.  The flower is from the Prima Audrey Flowers - Black White Gray collection and I also added a few sequins from the Prima Butterfly Collection.  I used another piece of the Gold Bazzill Mirror Cardstock and a die from the Spellbinders Die D-Lites - Sentiments Five to create the die cut word.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Altenew Painted Rose Watercolor Thank You Card with Distress Inks

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I have a beautiful watercolor card to share with you using a heat emboss resist technique with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

Here is a look at the card I designed.  I used some of the stamps from the Altenew Clear Stamps - Painted Rose stamp set.  I inked the stamps with VersaMark Ink and stamped the images on to a piece of Ranger - Watercolor Paper.  I used the smooth side of the paper.  Next I added Stampendous Super Fine Embossing Powder - Detail White to the stamped images and then I used a heat tool to heat set and melt the embossing powders.

Here is a close up of the roses.  I used several of the Tim Holtz Distress Inks to do the watercolor.  I started with the roses and the lightest color--Squeezed Lemonade.  Then while the paint was still wet I added a little of the Ripe Persimmon and Picked Raspberry.  I used a heat tool to speed up the drying process and then I added a second layer of the colors but I used a little less water so the colors would be more intense.  I dried the paper with a heat tool and then moved on to the leaves.  I used Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the leaves.  Once the paper was dry I used a baby wipe to remove the color from the embossed areas and really make the white embossing pop.  Here is a tip--if your baby wipe is a little too damp wrap part of it around your finger and then wrap a piece of paper towel on top and it will be just enough to keep the baby wipe from accidentally picking up to much color from your paper.  To finish off the watercolor I filled in the white space using Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean.  I added a few layers of the blue colors and heat set in between the layers.  Then when the paper was all dry I added some water droplets (to the blue area) using the paint brush and clean water.  I let the water droplets sit for a few seconds and then I blotted the paper with a paper towel to remove the water.  I love the look left from the water droplets!

For the sentiment I used one of the stamps from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - SS-Sent002 Many Thanks stamp set.  I used VersaMark Ink and Stampendous Super Fine Embossing Powder - Detail White to stamp and emboss the sentiment on to a piece of Vellum.  I cut the strip down to size and then I fussy cut one end to look like a banner.  To easily make the banner cut make a small cut at the end of the paper in the middle and then cut from each corner to the inside of the middle cut.  I love the look of velum but it is so hard to find an adhesive that is truly invisible so here is another little tip--on the backside of the vellum trace over the sentiment with your adhesive.  The adhesive will be enough to hold the vellum in place and you won't be able to see it.  You can use glue pens or a liquid adhesive.  If you don't have a small enough glue pen or an adhesive with a precision tip you can make small little dots or use a toothpick to add the adhesive.  For a little bit of sparkle I added some Prima - Say It In Crystals Royal Menagerie Sequins.

I used Therm-O-Web Foam Squares to adhere the watercolor panel to a piece of white cardstock.  Then I used  Scor-Tape to adhere the card front to a pink A2 top folding card base.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Kaisercraft Cottage Rose Unforgettable Love Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a quick and easy card to share with you.  For my card I used some pattern paper from the  Kaisercraft - Cottage Rose 6-1/2'' Paper Pad.  I also used some die cuts from the Kaisercraft - Cottage Rose Die Cut Shapes.  I have to tell you I am loving all of the beautiful die cuts in the Kaisercraft - Cottage Rose Die Cut Shapes collection.  You can make so many cards with the paper pad, die cuts and then some ribbon and embellishments.

Here is the card I designed.  This could be used for a wedding or anniversary card.  There are also die cuts in the back of the paper pad with several sentiments so you can make cards for all occasions.  The card base is white and it's a top folding 5.5 x 5.5 size.  I added a piece of the pattern paper from the Kaisercraft - Cottage Rose 6-1/2'' Paper Pad.  Then I added a piece of Venise Lace 1.75" - Gabriella White across the middle of the card.  I used Therm-O-Web Foam Squares and  Scor-Tape to adhere and layer the die cuts.

Here is a close up of the die cuts.

To finish off the card I added some Hazel & Ruby - The Makery Sequin Tubes Shine & Sparkle Diamond Dust and  Darice - 5mm Crystal Cup Sequins for a bit of sparkle.  I used Ranger - Glossy Accents to adhere the sequins.

And that's all there is to it--so quick and easy!  Like I said with the paper pad and die cuts you would be able to create several cards for all occasions.

Oh, one more thing--if you missed the announcement Sharon (owner of The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store) now has a small presence in a brick and mortar store that also offers enough space to offer mini classes. It is located in the Keweenaw Kountry Store in Chassell, MI, right across from the Chassell School. It is reminiscent of an old fashioned general store, offering bulk foods and the best cheeses you’ll find in the Copper Country! There is a display set up with a nice offering of products.  You can click HERE to check out Sharon's blog post--see pictures and find out all of the details.  Huge Congrats to Sharon!!  Wishing her all the best in this new adventure!!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Altenew Painted Rose Happy Birthday Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I have a quick and easy card to share with you using one of the Stamp Simply Clear Stamp sets and a beautiful rose stamp set from Altenew along with some pretty pattern paper from Kaisercraft.

I started by picking the piece of pattern paper I was going to use.  I selected a piece of paper from the Kaisercraft - Sea Breeze 6-1/2'' Paper Pad.  The paper has a pretty striped and beautiful light blue ombré.  The rose image is from the Altenew - Painted Rose clear stamp set and I used three shades of blue ink from the Altenew - Cool Summer Night cube inks.  For the leaves I just used one of the inks from the Altenew - Green Fields ink cubes.  All of the colors of ink are listed below in the supplies.  I trimmed the pattern paper down to fit on a white A2 top folding card base. Then I added the Paradise Aqua Seam Binding with a bow and mounted the pattern paper to the card front.

Here is a close up of the rose.  I also added some Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the rose for a touch of sparkle.  Then I added a rose from the Prima - Lady Godivas Raspberry Ice Flowers collection to the center of the bow and a few Simple Stories - I AM Enamel Dots for embellishments.

The sentiment is from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - SS-Sent003 Birthday Blessings set,  I stamped the sentiment on to white cardstock using Memento - Tuxedo Black ink and then I trimmed the paper down and fussy cut the end to look like a flag or banner.  I used Therm-O-Web Foam Squares to pop up the sentiment and add a little dimension to the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed the card share.  Please be sure to check out The Stamp Simply Blog for more inspiration from the Design Team and also The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all your paper crafting goodies.

I want to wish everyone a very Happy and Safe 4th of July holiday weekend!
