The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Graphic 45 Mon Amour - Love More Valentine Card

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and you were able to spend time with your loved ones.  Today. is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) Valentine's Day card to share with you.  I know we aren't even into the New Year yet but in the crafting world it's on to the next holiday lol.

Here is the card I designed using the  Graphic 45 Mon Amour Collection 8 x 8 Paper Pad.  All of the paper except for the black cardstock is from the paper collection.  I fussy cut a couple of the beautiful images and a sentiment and then layered them with black cardstock.  The card base is a black top folding 5.5 x 5.5 and I added a couple layers of the pattern paper from the collection.

Here is a close up of the images.  I added some Prima Flowers Interlude Black/Gray and KaiserCraft Fairy Floss Mini Paper Blooms for embellishments.  The Prima flowers are so pretty and they come with a light dusting of glitter on them.  I also added a few Melissa Frances White Pearls around the images and the sentiment.

Like I have mentioned many times in other posts Graphic 45 paper has such beautiful images and you can create a lot of CAS cards just by letting the paper do the work for you.  If you don't have the Graphic 45 Mon Amour Collection 8 x 8 Paper Pad I encourage you to check it out.  The paper pad has so many beautiful images and you would be able to use the papers to create Valentine, Anniversary, Birthday, and Thinking of You cards.

Be sure to check out The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all of your paper crafting needs.  Also check out the Stamp Simply Blog for more inspiration from the design team.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
I hope you have a very Happy and Safe New Year's Eve!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Birds & Berries Peace Christmas Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) Christmas card to share with you.  I know Christmas is just a couple days away but if you are needing any all occasion winter cards this one is perfect.  Quick, easy, and can be used for all occasions and done with so many kinds of pattern papers.

For my card I used some of the beautiful papers from the Wild Rose Studio - Birds & Berries collection.

I love this paper and the floral pattern is so pretty.  But when I laid the peace die cut on top of the paper it just kind of got lost due to the busy pattern.  So I used a cotton ball to dab some white pigment ink into the center of the paper.  Doing this toned the pattern down and gives the paper a softer look.  Now the die cut won't get lost in the image anymore.  Pigment ink is a little stickier that dye based ink so you might want to use a heat tool to dry the ink.

Here is a close up of the sentiment and die cut.  Unfortunately when I designed the card I didn't realize the Peace die was sold out in the store and has been retired.  However, Sharon has a wonderful selection of dies that could be used in place of this die.  You could also use this same technique of adding the white pigment ink to any off your pattern papers and create cards for all occasions.  To create the die cut I used Bazzill Silver Mirror Paper.  I die cut the word peace a second time with some of the other paper from the collection.  Then I added some Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink along the bottom of the word to create and ombre look.  Next, I added one of the flowers from the Prima Flowers - Miss Godivas Caramel collection.  I also added some Marion Smith - Pearl White Stamens and Melissa Frances White Pearls.

I added another piece of pattern paper for a layer behind the floral print.  Then I added the card front to an A2 top folding white card base.

I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  Please be sure to check out The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for lots of paper crafting goodies.  Also check out the Stamp Simply Blog for more inspiration from the design team.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Curating Christmas 2016-17 - "Share your heART" - Jill Norwood/Greenwood Girl Cards

Hello everyone!  I am so excited to share with you that I am participating in Curating Christmas 2016-17 - "Share your heART".  For the past few year Jill Norwood from Greenwood Girl Cards Blog has been doing Curating for Christmas.  Basically you take a space in your studio, craft room, table, or wherever your creative space is and create an area with all kinds of Christmas crafting goodies.  You can set it up however you would like.  You can add in finished projects, cards, things other people have gifted you and basically anything that will inspire you.  This is my first year doing this and I had a lot of fun creating my space.  I will say it has been very inspirational and I do find myself using a lot more supplies because they are all in one space.  If you aren't familiar with Jill Norwoood, I encourage you to check out her YouTube Channel and also her Blog.  Jill is one of the sweetest ladies and she is beyond talented!!  Every year Jill has a tradition.  She makes many beautiful Christmas tags that she share with her family and friends.  You can click HERE to visit Jill's YT channel and click HERE to visit her blog.  If you would like to see Jill's Curating Christmas video you can click HERE.  A good majority of the people who participate in Curating Christmas are Jill's subscribers and friends on YouTube and a lot of them have done video responses to share what they have done.  If you go on YT and type Curating Christmas 2016-2017 in the search bar it should pull up a whole bunch of videos for you to check out.  You can also type #curatingchristmas2016-2017.

Here is a overall look at my Curating Christmas space.  I had so much fun creating this space!  I don't have all of my Christmas stuff out just because I wouldn't have room for everything. Also, since I design for a few different companies I have all of those supplies in other areas. You can click on any of the images to enlarge them and see more details.

Here I have some wooden spools, jingle bells, flowers and some bottle brush trees.  I also have a wood box in the back that is filled with vintage salt and pepper shakers to create some snowmen.  You can also have a peek at a Christmas canvas that I just finished and it will be on the Tonic Studios Blog soon.

This is a little dish with some vintage buttons and a sweet little vintage ballerina.

This is a little pine cone Christmas tree.

Here is a vintage muffin tin with some fun embellishments.

In this picture there is a little Christmas treat bag I created for Tonic Studios.  Then I have some tiny ornaments that I made using bottle brush trees, vintage spools and some vintage sheet music. I have a snowman figurine and another ballerina with some tiny faux peppermint candies made from melting perler beads.

Here is a close up of one of the tiny bottle brush tree ornaments.

These are a couple of ornaments I made using vintage tart tin and more tiny bottle brush trees.

This is a Christmas tree made with a vintage wooden spool, strips of material, and ribbons.

In this picture I have some Christmas picks, glass glitter, a container with some washi tape, and a basket full of different kinds of snowflakes.  I also have some felt mitten ornaments that I made.

Here is a close up of the mail box.  My sweet friend Tammy gave me that last year and it was filled with all kinds of yummy goodies.

These are some Christmas tags that I made last year and I have a few left.

This is a Christmas ornament that I made using ICE Resin and also lots of pearls and crystals from ButterBeeScraps.

Here I have a basket filled with ribbon, twine, flowers and a few other supplies.  The snowman wreath tag is something that my aunt Gail designed and gave to me last year.  It's so cute!  Then I have another basket with some of the Christmas cards I have made this year.

In this picture I have some felt ice skate ornaments and some punches.

Here I have a couple more punches, glitter and some felt poinsettia ornaments.

Here is my last picture with a close up of the Christmas tree.

Jill also asked if we had any Christmas traditions or fun stories to share.  Our family (extended family) started a newer tradition just a couple of years ago.  We decided instead of buying Christmas presents for each other would would take the money we would have spent on the presents and do something good with the money.  It was up to each of us--we could donate to a charity, buy presents for the angel tree, toys for tots, teddy bear toss, or maybe a buy food or presents for a family in need.  I think it's a wonderful tradition that we will carry on for many years to come.  It always feels good when you do good.

I hope you enjoyed all if the pictures and hearing about our family tradition.  I want to say a Huge Thank You to Jill for all of her inspiration throughout the year, her friendship and inspiring so many to do the Curating Christmas!!  Hugs to you my sweet friend!!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Merry Christmas & Christmas Wishes Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) Christmas card to share with you.

I love beautiful pattern papers especially for creating CAS cards.  I know sometimes it can be hard to cut in to those papers.   But a lot of times the papers are so beautiful that cards can be created very quickly if we just let the paper do the work for us. The KaiserCraft Christmas Wishes 6-1/2'' Paper Pad is no exception!  It is filled with gorgeous papers and several dic cuts with wonderful images and sentiments.

I used one of the sentiment die cuts from the paper pad and I layered it with a piece of pink cardstock.  I added some Therm-O-Web Foam Squares in between the layers for some added dimension.

For the card front I used a piece of the gold foiled pattern paper and layered that on to a piece of pink cardstock.  Then, I added May Arts 1.5" Sheer w/Glitter Dots - Gold/Gold and May Arts 5/8" Adhesive Rosettes - Pink across the middle of the card.  Next, I added the May Arts Metallic String Gold and pearls.  I used a pencil to lightly trace around the area where I was going to add the sentiment and then I knew exactly where to adhere the metallic string and pearls.  Then, I added the sentiment and a few KaiserCraft Mini Blooms Fuchsia.  To finish off the card I adhered everything to a white A2 top folding card base.

This card came together so quick and easy and the paper pad is filled with beautiful papers and die cuts so it would be great for creating several cards.

Please be sure to visit The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all of you paper crafting goodies.  Also check out the Stamp Simply Blog for more inspiration from the design team.

Winter is in full force here in MN!!  Snow, blowing wind, and bitter cold temps.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and stay warm!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Coffee & Friends Christmas Card - Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I love coffee, cocoa, and tea so I thought it would be fun to participate in the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

THEME: Winter/Holiday
USE: coffee, tea &/or cocoa images
National Cocoa Day 12/13
International Tea Day 12/15

You can click HERE to find out all of the details and see all of the fantastic cards.

Here is the card I designed.  I used the Altenew - Coffee Love stamp set and the  Graphic 45 - St. Nicholas 8 x 8 Collection.  I stamped the coffee pot and cups using Tuxedo Black ink.  I stamped the images on to the pattern paper and then I fussy cut the images.  For the mug and coffee pot I added a little bit of color to the heart and the rim of the coffee pot with a Copic Marker R89.

Here is a close up of the coffee pot and cups.  The coffee pot is adhered flat to the card front and then I used Therm-O-Web Foam Squares to add some dimension to the coffee cups.  I used the coffee bean stamp across the top and bottom of the card and I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Antique Linen.  I used a Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to add some sparkle to the coffee pot, cups, and the coffee beans.

Here is a close up of the sentiment.

I added a little more of the Graphic 45 - St. Nicholas paper along the bottom half of the card.  Then I added some May Arts 1.5" Sheer Wrinkled Edge Red Ribbon and a Petaloo Botanica Collection Red Minis flower to the center of the bow.  I used a black fine tip marker to add a little detail to look like steam coming from the cups.

I added the card front to an A2 top folding deep red card base and that finished off the card.

I hope you enjoyed today's card!  If you are a coffee, cocoa, or tea lover I encourage you to check out the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop and join in the fun.  Please be sure to visit The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all of your paper crafting goodies.  Also don't forget to check out the Stamp Simply Blog for more inspiration from the design team.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Heidi
