ICE Resin® - Ranger - Liquid Pearls Paint Skins

Hello everyone!  Today, I have a post up on the ICE Resin® blog.

I love how all three of the projects turned out so I am excited for this post to be live.  In the tutorial I share with you how to use Ranger Liquid Pearls, Tints, ICED Enamels®, and Glitter to create Liquid Pearl Paint Skins.  Once the paint skins are dry they can be removed from the studio sheets.  You can use the bezel template to trace and cut a piece of the paint skin to fit perfectly into the bezels.  Top with ICE Resin® and create some beautiful jewelry.

I have a step-by-step tutorial with lots of pictures on the ICE Resin® blog.  If you would like to see the tutorial you can click HERE to visit the ICE Resin® blog.  I encourage you to give this technique a try--it is even one that beginners can do.

If you have any questions or comments please leave them below.  Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful day and get a chance to create something beautiful!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Dazzling Druzy - ICE Resin®

Hello everyone!  Today, I am excited to share one of my ICE Resin® projects with you.  I love the look of Druzy stones and I have made several faux Druzy stones using a variety of German glass glitter, other types of glitter, tints, sand, and crushed pebbles.  I was just playing around and mixed up some of the products when I found a new mixture for creating a faux Druzy and I absolutely love it!  It has so much texture and sparkle to it so I thought Dazzling Druzy would be a fitting name.

If you would like to learn more please visit the ICE Resin® blog where I share a step-by-step tutorial on how to create this beautiful necklace.  I would really appreciate it if you leave me a little love while you are there and let me know what you think about the Dazzling Druzy.   If you are new to ICE  Resin® I really encourage you to give this technique a try.  It is very easy and beginner friendly.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Heidi

ButterBeeScraps - Gold and Bronze Leaf Necklace

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all staying warm with this crazy winter weather that has been going on for the last week or so.  Just the other day I heard on the radio that the state of Florida was the only state that didn't have snow!

Today, I am excited to bring you another guest designer post for ButterBeeScraps.  I love being able to use all of the beautiful metal filigree pieces to create jewelry.

Here is a look at the necklace I designed.  I mixed the metals for this necklace using gold and bronze.  I used the Gold Leaf Metal Filigree Embellishment 672-G for the larger leaf and Bronze Leaf Metal Filigree Embellishments 670-B for the smaller bronze leaves.  The leaves are very pretty and I love the simplicity of them.

I used gold chain and jump rings to dangle the smaller bronze leaves and a wire wrapped beaded dangle.

To create the wire wrapped beaded dangle I used a Bronze Ball End Head PinsClear Rhinestone and Gold Rondelle Spacer Beads 8mm BD008-G/CLGold Filigree Bead Caps CAP857-G, a large Jesse James Bead, and a Topaz AB Bead.  The gold bead caps are so pretty.

I also added a couple of wire wrapped beaded spacers to the necklace.  I used all of the same supplies that were used to create the wire wrapped beaded dangle except for the bronze wire.

To finish off the necklace I added a couple more of the small bronze leaves.

The necklace is actually longer than what is shown in the pictures.  I pinned the necklace up on the necklace form to be able to get better photos of it.  The necklace is about 30". This would be a great jewelry piece to create for beginners.

I hope you enjoyed this jewelry share.  Please be sure to visit ButterBeeScraps blog for more inspiration from the design team.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Stay warm and happy creating!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Hello everyone!  Today, I am very excited to tell you that I am a Guest Designer for ButterBeeScaps.  I love using all of the beautiful metal filigrees, rhinestones, and jewelry findings to create jewelry.  So when Monique, owner of ButterBeeScraps, asked me if I would like to guest design I was happy to say yes! :)

Here is a look at the goodies I received.  I have been having so much fun creating with these beautiful pieces and I have several ideas already sketched out for future projects.

This is the pink rose and crystal cross necklace and earring set I created.  To start I added glossy accents to the floral image and then placed a Small Round GLASS Cabochons (#CAB018) on top and moved it around until I had it centered on the image.  Then, I set the piece aside to dry for a few minutes.  Once the piece was dry I turned it over to the back side and fussy cut the excess of the image from the cabochon.  Next, I added glossy accents to the back of the glass cabochon and placed it inside of the Small Bronze Round Cabochon Settings (#F018D-B).

I used E6000 to adhere the cabochon setting to the Bronze Decorative Cross Pendants (#J397-B).  This is such a pretty cross and it has a lot of detail.  To finish off the cross I added some SS16 Light Rose Flat Back Glass Rhinestones.  I added a couple of jump rings to the cross and then I added some chain and beaded spacers.

Here is a close up of the beaded spacers.  I used powder pink crystal beads and darker pink beads along with the Clear Rhinestone and Bronze Rondelle Spacer Beads – 6mm (#BD006-B/CL).  I thought the beaded spacers were pretty and would dress up the chain.

To create the earrings I used some of the Bronze Ball End Head PinsClear Rhinestone and Bronze Rondelle Spacer Beads – 6mm (#BD006-B/CL), and the same beads that were used for the necklace.  I also used the Bronze Ball End Head Pins along with the 1-Step Ear Wire Maker Tool to make the ear wires.

I hope you enjoyed today's jewelry projects.  If you like to make jewelry this would be a quick and easy jewelry project to make for a Christmas gift or any other occasion.

ICE Resin® Creating an Open Back Bezel with a Decorative Bookplate - Power Word Believe

Hello blogging friends!  I am so excited to share my very first ICE Resin® Design Team project with you!  Our theme for the project was power words but it was open to our own interpretation.

My power word is Believe.  I think Believe is a great power word because it can have different meanings for everyone.
Believe in your dreams, believe in yourself, believe in God or a higher power--just Believe.  :)

For my project I used an open back bookplate to create a bezel.  I filled it with ICE Resin®, Iced Enamels™ Inclusions Shattered Mica in Chartreuse and Silver, my power word Believe charm and a butterfly charm.  I added crystals and rhinestone chain to embellish the bookplate bezel and then I added a beaded dangle and chain to finish off this beautiful necklace.

You can click HERE  to visit the ICE Resin® Blog and find out all of the details and see a step-by-step picture tutorial on how to create this bookplate open back bezel.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Heidi

ButterBeeScraps - Jewelry Share - Quick and Easy Earrings - ICE Resin - ArtCult Digital Images

Hello everyone!  Today, I have a couple of jewelry pieces to share with you--a necklace and a pair of earrings. If you are looking for any jewelry projects for Christmas gifts the earring I am sharing today are very quick and easy to make.

Here is the necklace that I designed.  I love this sweet image of the girl with the butterfly.  I used a digital image from ArtCult on Etsy.  I absolutely love the images from this shop!  There are so many to choose from and they come in a variety of sizes.  The best part--there is an instant download and what you see is what you get.  I am not affiliated with her shop but I do highly recommend it. :)  I added the image to a Hobnail Long Rectangle Bezel and then filled it with ICE Resin.  Then I used different little bits and pieces form ButterBeeScraps to embellish the bezel and create the beaded dangle.  I used one of the Bronze Metal Filigree Embellishments (#550-B) on the bezel and then I added some copper micro beads and Light Colorado Topaz Flat Backs SS12.  I thought the copper and topaz would bring out the colors in the butterfly.  To create the beaded dangle I used a Bronze Ball End HeadpinBronze Filigree Bead Caps (#CAP052-B)Clear Rhinestone and Bronze Rondelle Spacer Beads – 6mm (#BD006-B/CL), and a couple of beads from my own stash.

Here is another photo of the necklace.

These are the earrings I designed.  Like I said if you are looking for some quick and easy Christmas presents these earrings would be perfect.  I used the pretty Silver Shepard Hook Earring Wires w/ Rhinestones (#J594-S).  For the wings I used the Stainless Steel Wings Metal Filigree Embellishments (#686-ST) and added Clear AB Flat Backs SS20, SS16SS12.  Easy peasy--done in 5 minutes or less!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

ButterBeeScraps New Releases! Swirls and Pearls Wing Necklace and Butterfly Necklace.

Hello everyone!  Today, I have a couple of jewelry pieces to share with you using some of the New Releases from ButterBeeScraps.

Here is a look at the first necklace.  I love the simplicity of this necklace.  I used the Bronze Wing Metal Filigree Embellishments (#166-B).  This is a really nice filigree piece because it can stand on it's own or you could add different bits and baubles and create a beautiful assemblage piece.  I added two different sizes of flat back pearls to the filigree.  Then I used jump rings and added some vintage pearl rosary chain and finished the piece off with a lobster clasp.

Here is a look at the second necklace I designed.  I started with a Large Silver Bezel Frames (#F418-S) and added a piece of the Vintage Butterfly Cotton Ribbon (#RB054-N).  I added 4 mm rhinestone chain around the edges and then I added a piece of filigree from the Bronze Metal Filigree Embellishment (#020-B).  This was a small piece of the filigree that I had left over from another project.  The piece was painted with Krylon White Spray Paint and then buffed with steel wool #0000 to reveal some of the metal.  Then I added Krylon Crystal Clear Sealer.  I used E6000 to attache a Antique Silver Glue-on Jewelry Bails (#J231-S) to the back of the bezel and then I added a butterfly charm from the Buttons & Baubles Grab Bag.  For a little bit of sparkle I added a few SS12 Clear Flat Back Glass Rhinestones.  To finish the piece off I added some silver chain and then a lobster clasp.

I hope you enjoyed the two necklaces.  Please be sure to check out ButterBeeScraps so you can see all the New Releases,  The store is filled with a beautiful assortment of filigree pieces, bling, cameos, and bits and baubles for all of your jewelry and crafting needs.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Athena Owl Necklaces - ButterBeeScraps

Hello everyone!  Today, I have a couple of fun jewelry pieces to share with you.  I know so many people love owls and as soon as I saw the new Owl Filigree Embellishment 644-B from ButterBeeScraps I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them--create some jewelry!  I designed two necklaces using some of the new items in the store.

Here is the first necklace I designed.  I just love these pretty filigree owls!  There is so much detail to them.  I added SS16 Clear Pointy Back Rhinestones for the eyes and then I added three of the White Resin Flowers RES003-WH down the center of the owl.

Next I created three beaded and wire wrapped dangles for the bottom of the owl.  I used Bronze Ball End Head PinsBronze Bead Cap CAP052-B, and Bronze 6mm Rondelle BD006-B/CL from ButterBeeScraps.  I also used  Clear 4mm Bicone Crystals,  Clear 6mm Bicone Crystals, and Bronze 4mm Glass Pearls from my own stash.

I also made a small bead dangle to hang up at the top of the owl's head.

On one side of the chain I created three wire wrapped bead links and alternated with with the chain.  I used the same beads, rondelles, and bead caps as I did for the beaded dangles.

I love how the beaded dangles give some movement to the necklace.

For the second owl necklace I added a little bit of color with the beads and a Patina finish on the filigree.

I think the Patina finish is so pretty on the bronze metal.  On this necklace I added SS20 Aquamarine Flat Back Crystals for the eyes.  Then I added small bits of chain across the center and a Rhinestone Charms to the center of each chain.  At the bottom of the owl I added a few more Rhinestone Charms and then a larger wire wrapped and beaded dangle.  To create the dangle I used a Bronze Ball End Head PinsBronze 6mm Rondelle BD006-B/CL, and a Bronze Filigree Bead Cap CAP114-B all from ButterBeeScraps.  The Aqua Jesse James Glass Teardrop Bead and Two-Tone Aqua Blue Round Glass Beads are both from my stash.

I added another Rhinestone Charms at the top of the owl's head.

I created wire wrapped bead links for each side of the necklace.  The  Bronze 6mm Rondelle BD006-B/CLBronze 8mm Rondelle BD008-B/CL are from ButterBeeScraps.   The bronze wire, Aqua Jesse James Large Glass Round Beads, and Two-Tone Aqua Blue Round Glass Beads were from my stash.  I alternated the bead links and then chain on both sides of the necklace.

Here is another close up look at the owl.

Over the past couple of months I have sold a lot of my jewelry piece that I have posted here on my blog.  Most of them are sold before I even have a chance to upload them to my Zibbet store.  I have also been doing some custom jewelry orders.  So I am going to start uploading the jewelry pieces to the store at the same time I post them on my blog.  If you are interested in either of the owl necklaces I uploaded both of them to my Zibbet store.  You can click HERE if you would like to check it out.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi
