Grand Birthday Sentiments Cling Stamp Set - JustRite Papercraft September New Release Day 4

Hello everyone!  It's Day 4 of the JustRite Papercraft September New Release.  Do you have some of the New Releases on your wish list?  Today, I have one of the new cling stamp sets to share with you.

Here is the CL-04745 Grand Birthday Sentimens Cling Stamp Set from JustRite Papercraft.  This is a perfect sentiment stamp to say Happy Birthday.  But a few of the sentiments could also be used for all occasion cards for friends.

Here is the card that I designed.  Now I have to be honest and tell you this card was a little out of my comfort zone.  I know that this color combination is very popular right now but these aren't colors I usually use together.  But I think it is good to step out of the comfort zone every now and then.  ;-)  The pattern paper is from Fancy Pants ParkBench 6 x 6 Paper Pad .  I used several die templates to create all of the shapes and layers on the card.  I used three die templates from the Card Creator sets--S5-131 A2 Matting Basics A, S5-132 Matting Basics B, S5-194 Pearl Effects.  I also used S5-191 Labels Twenty-Eight die templates.

I stamped the sentiment, die cut and then I airbrushed using Copic marker N5 Neutral Gray.  

Here is a close up of the hatpin.  This was so quick and easy to make!  I simply die cut a piece of the pattern paper using MD1-007 Circles One and then I used a 3D Foam Squares inside the MB3-001S Circle Hatpin-Silver.  Place the die cut circle of the pattern paper on top, add a piece of bling and some glossy accents.  Easy peasy!

To finish off the card I added some bling and some beautiful Grey Scalloped Lace Trim 7/8' from Lavish Laces.

For today's project I created a scrapbook layout using the NEW Let's Celebrate stamp set from JustRite. I created a fun and bright colored page to remember our day spent at the circus. This stamp set is so adorable and perfect for the little people in our lives. This set can be used for several occasions, a birthday invitations, party favors, a trip to the zoo, the circus and to make some really fun cards to let kids know they are doing a great job--these are just a few ideas! The set includes 4 Centers and 4 Interchangeable Borders and fits the 2'' Square Stamper. The images in this set are so cut and fun to color.To start creating the layout I stamped the image of the elephant with the border and colored with Copics. Then I used the Classic Squares Large S4-126 and Classic Squares Small S4-128 die templates from Spellbinders™ to cut/emboss the square for the image and also to create the mats. For the title on the page I used the Curlz Uppercase Font 95pt and Times New Roman Lowercase Font 95pt from JustRite. I stamped the title in black, cut/embossed the circle using Standard Circles Large S4-114 die template from Spellbinders™ and then airbrushed with Copic
markers. I also stamped, colored with Copics and cut out one of the elephants to add to the title.To create the date I used the numbers from the Curlz Uppercase Font Set 50pt.Here is a close-up of another little elephant. They are so cute and work perfectly with the circus pictures.To add the names I used the Curlz Uppercase Font 50pt and Times New Roman Lowercase Font 50pt. I wanted the layout to be fun and brightly colored so I added all of the star diecuts in bright colors using the Stars Five Die S4-092 from Spellbinders™ and for all of the circles I stamped, cut/embossed the diecuts and then airbrushed with Copic markers.

Last summer during Spellbinders sneak peek blog frenzy the die template that I shared with you was the first in a new line called Frameabilities and today I am happy to be sharing another beautifully detailed Frameabilites die template set.

I love all of the details in Classic Frame from the tiny flourishes to the little curls on the edges. The large frame has a vintage look and is very complimenting to the vintage style. One of the things I like the most about this set of die templates is all of the die cuts you can make. Here is a picture so you can see all of the die cuts. Don’t forget, you will have a die cut from the inside part of the die template.

When I receive a die template, I make several die cuts using white cardstock. I just play around with them to see what kind of ideas jump out at me and I sketch out different ideas. I find having a sketch book close-by at all times can be a very handy tool. I have several of them and I even have a little one for my purse and by the bed. You never know what you might dream about!

Okay, on to my projects for today. I made four different projects using the Classic Frame die template. The first project is something a little “out of the box”. I like to challenge myself by trying to think of different ways to use the die cuts. So, I made a luminary.

I am going to share how to make the luminary step-by-step. I also want to share a couple of pictures about getting started with the Wizard. These pictures will show you the proper placement of the Wizard and your hands holding the mats.

Use two complimenting colors of cardstock, a dark and a light. With the dark color, cut/emboss four of the large frames. For the light color, cut but don’t emboss four large frames.
After you have all of the large frames cut, take the darker colored ones and one at a time, place them back into the die template. One of the very unique things about Spellbinders die templates is that they are cut all the way through giving you a beautiful die template that can be used as a stencil. Using black ink and a sponge, stencil the four frames.
Once all of your pieces are cut and stenciled, cut four pieces of vellum as shown in the picture below.
The next step will be putting all of these pieces together to make four panels as shown below. I find that the best way to put adhesive on the large frames is to run them through the Xyron with a permanent adhesive. When working with really detailed die cuts, I like to take a stylus around the edges of the die cut before I peel off the clear coving. This really helps to make sure you don’t have extra adhesive around the edges. If you don’t have a stylus, a toothpick works great too.
After all four panels are together then score each side (both ends) as shown, using your favorite scoring tool.
Once all of the pieces are scored, assemble the luminary. The ends that were scored are going to be put together using all of the pieces. I used a tape runner and then also a 2-way glue pen to get into all of the tiny areas and carefully put the ends together as shown.
If you like, you can create three dimensional flowers to go in the center of each. I used the two different colors of cardstock and inks to stencil the die cuts and added a rhinestone in the center for a little bling.
And here is the finished luminary.

Here are the other projects I made using the Classic Frame die template to give you a few more ideas of the wonderful things you can create using this die template.
I know it’s hard to tell from the picture but these two little frames are actually magnets for the refrigerator. They hold pictures of my boys. To do the smaller frame I did a technique called Reverse Stenciling. I really like doing this technique because it is very easy and all you need is a little ink. Below is a picture to show you how the reverse stenciling is done. When doing the reverse stenciling it is better to use a pigment or chalk ink, something that isn’t fast drying.

I really love the different look you can get with the reversed stenciling!

Next, I created a LO with my mom’s graduation picture.
I think the Classic Frame die template goes so beautifully with her picture. Using only the die cut pieces from the Classic Frame die template I created all of the pieces for the LO. I absolutely love the large frame; you can use it in so many different ways. All of the gold die cuts were reverse stenciled with a gold pigment ink and then embossed with gold embossing powder. The ink stays wet long enough to do the embossing and this is just another way to get a different style.

For my last project, I created a very simple card using two of the large frame die cuts and the rectangular center from the smaller frame.
I used a metallic cardstock from WorldWin for all of the die cuts and then I lightly sanded the embossed areas revealing the solid black underneath.Turning the frames in different directions creates a very pretty medallion with an open center for a sentiment. I added some ribbon and stamped a sentiment from Crafty Secrets on the small rectangle and added a few rhinestones.

JustRite Pre-Inked Stamping Contest

Today is the official kick off for the JustRite Stampers Pre-Inked Stamping Contest!! Click HERE for a complete list of all the Rules.

The Pre-Inked Stampers from JustRite are so much fun! For the cards I am sharing with you today I used the the 2x Stampers, they are so quick and easy to use. The feature that I like the best about the 2x Stampers is that the stamp is up inside of the holder and this allows you to set the stamp holder down on your cardstock (without getting any ink on it!) and line it up for the perfect placement and then gently push down to stamp. Also on the sides of the holder are little markers which can help with lining up the stamp.

Here are a couple of cards that I made using the 2x Stampers.

For the first card I used 2x Stampers Happy Birthday sentiment on a piece of chipboard. The flower and flourish stamp is from Fancy Pants and the technique for this card is called Bandanna from Technique Junkies.

Here is the second card that I made. For this card I used 2x Stampers Thinking of You from JustRite Stampers. I stamped the Thinking of You sentiment onto a tag that I made using the Wizard and Ribbon Tags Trio Die from Spellbinders. By the way, all of the tags from the Ribbon Tags Trio die from Spellbinders work perfectly with the 2x Stampers! LOVE that!! I also added a few Prima flowers and added little pearls to the center. Here is a quick little tip for you--if you like using pearls but would like to get a larger package and have the pearls all the same size look for pearl alphabet sticker sheets. You can peel the little pearls off and glue them onto your projects and each sheet of stickers will have a few hundred little pearls. The sticker sheet that I purchased has approximately 500 pearls on it and it was $3.99--I think that's a Fantastic deal! The flourish stamp that I used on the bird and around the edges of the card is from Prickly Pear. The bird die cut is from the NEW Spellbinders Shapeabilities Nested Bird die, there are three dies in this set. The technique on the bird is called Alcohol Inks Faux Bleaching. It has been awhile since I have done this technique but I recently seen a post on Sherry Cheever's (aka Bad Sherry) blog, Walkin' On The Bad Side! and I wanted to try out the technique again! If you like using AI you will love this technique! Sherry has a wonderful tutorial on her blog so be sure to check it out! For her tutorial Sherry used an Oval Fragment from Tim Holtz Idea-ology. I don't have any of the fragments (yet!) so I used a piece of acetate for the bird die cut.

JustRite Stampers Falling 4 U Card

I love this time of year, warm days, cooler nights and there is a crispness in the air. I have a feeling we are going to have an early or a hard winter here in MN...the acorns started falling about a month ago! But I hope that we will have a beautiful Autumn to enjoy before the cold sets in.

Being in the mood for Fall this is a card I made for the JustRite Stampin' Champion Contest. I was trying to think out of the box and come up with an idea that was different from a monogram. With the JustRite Stampers you can design your own stamps to say whatever you would like! Gotta LOVE that!! Just think how many times have you wanted a certain saying for a card that you didn't have? Now the problem can be solved!! For the sentiment I used a border from Special Occasions, Small Letter Set & C-45 Monogram Medium Letters from JustRite Stampers. I stamped everything first using Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink from ClearSnap and then I went back and lined up the Nestability and used the Wizard, Universal Die Cutting & Embossing System from Spellbinders to cut out the Nestabilities. I also cut out a Petite Scallop Circle Nestabilitiy to use for a mat. The designer paper and the ribbon are from Fancy Pants True Collection. I distressed the edges of the paper and used a brown Identi Pen from Sakura to make the little stitch marks around the edge of the paper. To make these beautiful die cut leaves I used the Assorted Leaves (S4-076) die from Spellbinders. Before I took the paper out of the die I used Creamy Brown Chalk Ink from ClearSnap to stencil the die cuts. After I popped them out then I used Pastels from The Stencil Collection to color in the leaves. Doing this really makes the embossing pop! I crumpled up the leaves just a bit to give them some dimension and then adhered them using ZipDry from Beacon. For the base of the card I used Prism cardstock.
