Dimestore Vogue Card - Vintage Street Market - DT Call

Good morning blogging friends! I hope you all enjoyed the weekend. We had a nice and relaxing weekend. We had a house full on Saturday night--our oldest son had a bunch of friends over, some were home from college for the weekend. It seems so strange when you see these kids all grow up together and see them for years and then they go off to college and we only get to see them once in awhile. But it is always great to see them when they come home!! They are all growing up!! We put our Christmas tree up this weekend and we also got our first real snow! I think the first snowfall is always so pretty.

For today I have a couple of cards to share with you that I designed for Vintage Street Market. I am the Guest Designer over at Vintage Street Market for the month of December. You can see all of the projects I designed by clicking HERE. Throughout the month of December I will also be sharing the projects on my blog with a few more photos, details and a supply list.

I used Dimestore Vogue Paper Sheets & Tags from Vintage Street Market to design both of these cards.

For the first card I used Blue #67 cardstock from Discount Cardstock and then I layered it with the pattern paper that looks like a sewing pattern and I distressed the edges. Next I added a paper doily and a button tag.

I added three for the button die cuts to the tag. To add a little more dimension and make the buttons real looking I poked a couple of holes in each button with my paper piercer and threaded silver wire and then I added a 3D Foam Square.

To finish off the card I added a die cut image of a lady and added glitter to her dress and 3D Foam Squares, a seam binding bow and a couple of trinket pins.

For the second card I used Kraft cardstock from Discount Cardstock for a base. Then I added an image with two ladies from one of the background papers in the kit.

I know it's a little hard to see in the photo but I added Linen Tinted Tape onto the printed Dimestore Vogue tape measure. I love the Linen Tinted Tape--I looks just like aged tape!

I used the sewing pattern paper and S5-050 Rose Creations die template from Spellbinders™ to create this pretty little flower. I added a die cut button to the center, leaves and some glitter.

Here is a close up of the cluster of little die cut buttons in the top corner. I also added some vintage lace and trims and a trinket pin.

I hope you enjoyed both of these cards as much as I enjoyed making them! Please be sure to check out all of the other projects over at the Vintage Street Market Guest Designer Blog. I would love to hear what you think of all the projects!!

  2. Wow Heidi, love these. Brings back some old memories if you are older like me. Use to be those 5 and dimes were the only place you could find craft items. Kinda miss them. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Ditto on comment above. They are lucky to have you as their guest designer and so are we.
