The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Congratulations Kraft and Gold Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a card to share with you that features the kraft color.

Here is a look at the card I designed.  I have to tell you--I had the idea to create a card using kraft on kraft and I do like the card IRL (in real life) however it was very hard to capture the card in a photo. But I do love the combo of the kraft paper with the gold foil and embossing.

To start I used the EK Powder Tool to brush across the paper.  Doing this will help the embossing powder stick just to the area that you want it to.  Then, I stamped the image of the rose from the  Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Thinking of You Rose SS-015 stamp set using VersaMark Ink.  I added Ranger Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder to the embossed image and then used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.

I used a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen and Distress Oxide Inks -Worn LipstickFired Brick, and Cracked Pistachio to color the image.  Make sure to scribble the pen on a piece of scratch paper to remove the color in between each color and once you are done with the pen.

To die cut the rose I used the Stamp Simply Steel Dies - Rose SS-002.  The base of the card is a kraft A2 top folding card.  On the bottom half I added a piece of the kraft and gold foil stripe paper from the Bazzill Kraft Foil 6 x 6 paper pad.  Then I added May Arts 1.5" Sheer w/Glitter Dots and May Arts Variegated Silk Ribbon.  I just love the variegated ribbon--it's so pretty!  To finish off the card I stamped and embossed the sentiment and added a few 5mm Gold Sequins.  The sentiment is from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Wedding Wishes SS-001 stamp set.

Thanks so much for joining me today!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - CAS For God so Loved the World Easter Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) card to share with you.  It won't be long and the Easter season will be here so it's a good time to start working on some Easter Cards.

For my card I used one of the Easter Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - SS-005 He Has Risen and the Altenew Clear Stamps - Floral Shadow.  The He Has Risen stamp set has some wonderful sentiments and verses for Easter.  To start the card I had a piece of white cardstock and I stamped a couple of the leaf images around the outer edges of the paper.  I used Altenew - 4 Ink Cubes Sea Shore (Mountain Mist) to stamp the leaves.  I wanted to add a textured look to the leaves so instead of inking up the stamp like usual (tapping the ink pad on the stamp), I lightly ran the ink pad up and down on the stamp.  Doing this added some detailed lines and a textured look to the images.

Here is a close up so you can see the detail.  It's very subtitle but it does give the image a different look.  Next I inked the edges of the paper using Tim Holtz - Distress Ink Cracked Pistachio which looks very nice with the Altenew Mountain Mist ink.

Once the paper was good and dry then I stamped a sentiment from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - SS-005 He Has Risen using VersaMark Ink.  I added Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder and used my heat tool to heat set and melt the powder.

I added the card front to an A2 white top folding card base and I used some  Foam Squares in between the layers for some added dimension. To finish off the card I added a thin strip of the Bazzill - Gold Mirror Cardstock along the side and then I added a few My Mind's Eye - Record It! Charmed Enamel Dots.  I'll tell you a little secret--I hadn't planned on using the gold mirror cardstock.  However, after I stamped the sentiment I realized it was off center--not by a lot but enough that I noticed it lol.  I didn't want to scrap the card so I added the thin strip of paper to the left side of the card front and it kind of tricks the eye making the card look balanced. Just a nice little trick to remember in case you sentiment isn't centered. :)

I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  If you would like to see more paper crafting inspiration check out the Stamp Simply Blog.  If you would like you can also visit The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store to find all of your paper crafting supplies.

The Stamp Simply Ribbons Store - Altenew Live Life In Full Bloom Card and Tutorial

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, for my Stamp Simply Ribbon Store post I have a fun and very shimmery card and tutorial to share with you.

Here is the card I designed using the Altenew Dahlia Blooms Clear Stamps.  There are a few steps to this card but I promise they are all easy and well worth the outcome.

To start I stamped the flowers and leaves on to some post-it notes and then fussy cut.  If you don't have any post-it notes you can also use some printer/copy paper and a two way glue pen.  **Edit--I just wanted to let everyone know Inkadinkado Stamping Mask Paper is now available in The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  You can click HERE to find it.  These pieces will be used to mask off the stamping on the card in front and to layer the stamps.  I stamped the first flower with VersaMark ink.  Then, I added Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.  Then I added the mask on top of the flower on the card front and stamped another flower right next to it.  I removed the mask and then added more embossing powder and heat set the powders.  I repeated this step several times with the flowers and leaves. Just make sure you have a mask in place anytime you are stamping the images that overlap each other.

Once all of the embossing was done then I colored over all of the flowers and leaves with the Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen,  You just have to stay within the outer outline parts of the flower and leaves so it goes pretty quick to color them in.  The flowers on the right have just the wink of stella on them.  Next, I used a water brush and added some DecoArt Metallic Lustre Gold Rush to each of the petals and leaves.  This isn't anything fancy and there is no real technique.  I just started at the back of each petal/leaf and lightly pounced the water brush with the gold rush to add some color and then worked towards the front of the petal and the color will get lighter.  If the color gets too dark for your liking just take a paper towel and press down on the area to pick up the color.  Also the more water you add the lighter the gold will appear.

Now, I will say this was a little hard to photograph and some of the pictures the gold looks more like a yellow gold but in real life it isn't that bold.  I tried to tweak some of the pictures in photoshop but sometimes deep pink and red colors can be a bit hard to photograph.  But I wanted to let you know it's not as bold as it might look.

In this picture all of the leaves and flowers are colored.

Here is a close up.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of  Vellum with VersaMark ink.  Then, I added Ranger Super Fine White Embossing Powder and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.  I folded the vellum around to the back and taped it in place.  I also used some Bazzill Gold Mirror paper for a second layer on the card.

Here is a close up.  I added a few 5mm Crystal Cup Sequins.

I added the card front to a top folding A2 landscape white card base.

I hope you enjoyed the card and tutorial.  This is an easy way to add LOTS of shimmer to you card.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Birds & Berries Peace Christmas Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) Christmas card to share with you.  I know Christmas is just a couple days away but if you are needing any all occasion winter cards this one is perfect.  Quick, easy, and can be used for all occasions and done with so many kinds of pattern papers.

For my card I used some of the beautiful papers from the Wild Rose Studio - Birds & Berries collection.

I love this paper and the floral pattern is so pretty.  But when I laid the peace die cut on top of the paper it just kind of got lost due to the busy pattern.  So I used a cotton ball to dab some white pigment ink into the center of the paper.  Doing this toned the pattern down and gives the paper a softer look.  Now the die cut won't get lost in the image anymore.  Pigment ink is a little stickier that dye based ink so you might want to use a heat tool to dry the ink.

Here is a close up of the sentiment and die cut.  Unfortunately when I designed the card I didn't realize the Peace die was sold out in the store and has been retired.  However, Sharon has a wonderful selection of dies that could be used in place of this die.  You could also use this same technique of adding the white pigment ink to any off your pattern papers and create cards for all occasions.  To create the die cut I used Bazzill Silver Mirror Paper.  I die cut the word peace a second time with some of the other paper from the collection.  Then I added some Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink along the bottom of the word to create and ombre look.  Next, I added one of the flowers from the Prima Flowers - Miss Godivas Caramel collection.  I also added some Marion Smith - Pearl White Stamens and Melissa Frances White Pearls.

I added another piece of pattern paper for a layer behind the floral print.  Then I added the card front to an A2 top folding white card base.

I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  Please be sure to check out The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for lots of paper crafting goodies.  Also check out the Stamp Simply Blog for more inspiration from the design team.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!!!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Ivory and Gold CAS Merry Christmas Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) Christmas card to share with you.

Here is the card I designed.  This is a card that would be great to mass prodouce for your Christmas cards.  I didn't time myself but I am pretty sure it was less than 10 minutes start to finsih for this card.  I used pattern paper from the Carta Bella Merry Christmas Gold Foil 12x12 collection.  If you love tradition Christmas colors with the elegance of gold foil this collection is for you and it includes ivory, red and green papers.  I layered a piece of Bazzill - Gold Mirror paper behind the pattern paper.  Next, I cut a strip of Vellum and stamped the sentiment from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - SS-013 Jesus stamp set using Versamark ink.  Then I added Ranger - Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder and used my heat tool to melt and heat set the embossing powders.

I wrapped the Vellum around the two paper layers and adhered it to the back.  Then I added May Arts Gold Metallic String Ribbon and tied a simple bow on the front.  I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Runner to adhere the card pannel to the card base.  I used ivory cardstock for the 5.5 x 5.5 square top folding card base.

To finish off the card I added some 5 mm Crystal Cup Sequins.  I used Ranger - Glossy Accents to adhere the sequins.

I hope you enjoyed this CAS Christmas card.  Please be sure to stop by The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all of your paper crafting goodies and check out the Stamp Simply Blog for more inspiration from the design team.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - The Twelve Days of Christmas - Day 12

Hello everyone!
Welcome, to day 12 of the The Twelve Days of Christmas for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  There is still a little bit of time to enter the Blog Candy and the details will be listed below.  If you would like to check out all of the beautiful cards for The Twelve Days of Christmas you can click HERE to visit The Stamp Simply Blog.

Here is the Christmas cards I designed.
This card is a wonderful combination of metallic copper and gold with some cream.

To create the background piece I used the Darice Embossing Folder - Pine Branches in Corner and inked the embossing folder with Delicata Celestial Copper ink.  I used a heavier hand when inking the top and bottom of the embossing folder so the middle of the folder had very little ink.  The Delicata inks are great to use for this technique because they leave a very soft shimmer and don't tend to leave harsh lines.  Then I carefully added my cardstock and ran the embossing folder through the die cutting machine.  As you can see from the photo doing this technique leaves the flatter areas with ink and the embossed areas are still the cream colored cardstock.

Here is a close up of the top part of the card.

Here you can see the middle and bottom of the card.  I used one of the stamps from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - SS-013 Jesus stamp set.  I used Delicata Celestial Copper ink and Ranger -  Copper Supper Fine Detail Embossing Powder to stamp and emboss the sentiment.  Then I went over the word Savior with a Zig Wink of Stella Gold pen and I also added some splatter droplets on the paper using the Wink of Stella pen.  Next I added some Glossy Accents on top of the word Savior for some added dimension.

To finish off the card I added some May Arts Metallic Wired Iridescent Cord - Copper around the bottom half of the card and I curled the ends.  I also added a few Melissa Frances Cream Pearls.  I layered the background piece on to a piece of Bazzill Luxury Pearlescent Metallic 105# Copper and then added that to an A2 top folding cream card base.

As I mentioned above there is still some time to get your name in
for a chance at winning some blog candy.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - The 12 Days of Christmas - Day 5

Hello everyone! Welcome to the annual event, The 12 Days of Christmas from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and Design Team Members.  Today, is day five (5) for The 12 Days of Christmas.  If you missed the previous days you can click HERE to visit the blog and check out all of the other beautiful Christmas cards.
Be sure to check out all of the blogs because there is also some Blog Candy!

Here is the Christmas card I designed.  This card is full of sparkle and it came together in very quickly.  I used a piece of pattern paper from the My Mind's Eye - Sugar Plum 6 x 6 Paper Pad.  I love this wonderful winter scene on the paper and for the most part I let the paper do the work for me.  If you are using pattern paper and it has a scene like this or some other beautiful images let those image stand out and be a great focal point of your card.

Here is a close up look at the pattern paper.  I used Glossy Accents to cover the snow (dots) and then I sprinkled some Stampendous - Multi Ultra Fine Crystal Glitter on top of the glossy accents.  I also added glitter to the snow drifts, trees, and buildings.  So this card has lots of sparkle!

The sentiment is from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - SS-012 Christmas Blessings.  I used VersaMark Ink to stamp the sentiment on to a piece of ivory cardstock and then I added Ranger - Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder and used my heat tool to heat set and melt the embossing powders.  I think sentiments always look so beautiful when they are embossed with metallic colors.  I used the Spellbinders - Labels Thirty-Nine to die cut the sentiment.  I also used the same die set to cut another label for layering.  I used the Bazzill - Gold Mirror cardstock for the second label shape.  I layered the two labels and used Therm-O-Web Foam Squares to add some dimension in between the layers.

Here is a look at the bottom of the card with the winter scene.  Here you can see where I added more of the glitter.

I layered the pattern paper on to a piece of the Bazzill - Gold Mirror cardstock.  Than I added some  May Arts - 3/8" Metallic Velvet Gold Ribbon.  The card base is an ivory 5.5 x 5.5 top folding card.  To finish off the card I added some Prima Flowers - Lady Godivas Raspberry Ice and Kaiser Craft - Mini Paper Blooms Fuchsia.

I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  October is about half over and Christmas will be here before we know it so it's time to get started on the Christmas cards.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Altenew Spring Daisy Hello Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a beautiful summertime card to share with you.

Here is the card I designed using the Altenew Clear Stamps - Spring Daisy stamp set.  Yellow is a color I don't tend to use a lot but I love the soft yellow colors in the Altenew - Summer Afternoon ink collection and they are perfect for the daisies.

I started buy stamping all of the colored parts of the flowers and leaves first.  For the larger daisy I used Buttercream and Paper Bag inks and for the smaller daisy I used Warm Sunshine and Caramel Toffee.  The green for the leaves is Forest Glades and that is from the Altenew - Green Fields ink collection.  Once I was done stamping the colored images then I used my heat tool to heat set the paper and make sure the ink was dry.  For the gold on the flowers I stamped the outline images using VersaMark Ink.  Then I added Ranger - Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  I used my heat tool to melt and heat set the embossing powders.  When I was done with all of the embossing then I added the stamped panel to a piece of Gold Bazzill Mirror Cardstock.  I created a bow using some Antique Gold Seam Binding.  The flower is from the Prima Audrey Flowers - Black White Gray collection and I also added a few sequins from the Prima Butterfly Collection.  I used another piece of the Gold Bazzill Mirror Cardstock and a die from the Spellbinders Die D-Lites - Sentiments Five to create the die cut word.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.

Please be sure to visit The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for all of your paper crafting needs and also visit the Stamp Simply Blog for more inspiration from the design team.
