Beautiful Botanical Butterflies

Hello blogging friends! It was so nice outside today--sun shinning and in the 40's which is Crazy for a Minnesota winter!! I think I am already in the mood for Spring--I know it's a long ways away--but I can hope--LOL!

Today, I have a card to share with you using JustRite Stampers Botanical Butterflies stamp set, This set is so pretty and perfect if you are in a Spring mood. ;-)

I stamped one of the images from Botanical Butterflies on to Simply Smooth White cardstock from Discount Cardstock using Rich Cocoa ink. Then I started to apply color using Prismacolor Pencils. I used three shades of blue for the wings. All of the colors of Prismacolor Pencils I used are listed below in the supply list.

Next I added brown to the body of the butterfly.

For the background I used a combination of orange, yellows and pinks.

I finished off the border with the same three colors of blue that I used on the butterfly wings.

I used the Grand Calibur and S4-114 Standard Circles Large to cut/emboss the butterfly image and then I also used S5-059 Ironwork Motifs and S4-345 Picot Edge Circles die templates from Spellbinders with Blue #67 and Chamois Cascata Felt cardstock from Discount Cardstock. I used 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ to layer the die cuts. Then I added You're So Fine Glitter Diamond Clear Cool Highlights from The Rubber Cafe. I used Scrap Happy Sheer Glue (also from The Rubber Cafe) to apply the glitter.

Here is a close up of the glitter--love all that sparkle!!

I used Peacock Seam Binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon to make the pretty bow. If you love seem binding you check out all of the beautiful colors Bonnie offers at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I stamped the sentiment in the bottom right corner.

The pattern paper is from DCWV The Mariposa Stack and I also add a couple of trinket pins.
