Crafty Secrets/Tattered Angels March Mix-Week #1

Today is the beginning of the first week for the Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage and Tattered Angels, makers of Glimmer Mist March Mix. You might be asking yourself what is the March Mix? The Design Team Members from Crafty Secrets and Tattered Angels are teaming up for the month of March!! How exciting is that!! The Design Team Members will be using the Fantastic products from both manufactures to create their designs. The products work so fabulous together so this should be a lot of fun to see what each Design Team Member comes up with!

So are you ready to get started with the march Mix?

Here is a list of the Design Team Members from Crafty Secrets and Tattered Angels that have some beautiful creations to share with you today. Be sure to stop by each one!
The project that I created to share with you is a wall hanging and I must tell you I am so happy with how it turned out and all of the beautiful shimmer. Do you ever make something and it just make you smile? Well, that's how this piece is for me. I love the colors and it's perfect for Spring. I can't wait for Spring to get here!!I started out with a little wall hanging that was a piece of raw wood and I misted it with Honey Dew Mist, Suede and Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist. While that was drying I stared working on the pieces to put on the wall hanging. I started out by cutting the bird image from the Flower Cotton Scraps from Crafty Secrets using the Curved Rectangles S5-006 die template from Spellbinders. Then I misted it with the Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels. Here is a close up picture of the Cotton Scraps right after I misted it with the Glimmer Mist. Look at all the shimmer!Next I cut and embossed a piece of designer paper from the Crafty Secrets Classic Paper Pad. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo ink and then I misted the Iridescent gold over the entire piece. Then I worked on the lilacs. The lilacs stared out white and I used Vintage Pink, Honey Dew Mist, Spring Violet and Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist to achieve the look I wanted. Here is a close up of the lilacs. For the ribbon I started out with a light green ribbon and to get the colors to match I misted it with Honey Dew Mist and then I used a cotton ball with a little of the Suede Glimmer Mist to add the brown tones. For embellishments I added some tiny pearls and some buttons. Here is a close up of the buttons and you can really see the shimmer in this photo. Here is another picture of the wall hanging that is close up. Even though I love to paint this project was so quick and easy and NO painting. I just let the Glimmer Mist do all the work!Supplies~
