The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Blessed to be Your Friend Card

Hello everyone!  Today, I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) card to share with you using some of the beautiful papers from the Kaisercraft Miss Betty Collection.

Check out these papers!  They are so pretty and layer together perfectly.  I used a couple pieces of the pattern paper and layered them onto the card front.  Then I added some of the die cuts from the Kaisercraft Collectables Miss Betty collection.  I added Foam Tape in between the layers to add some dimension.  Then I added a few Petaloo Botanica Collection Pink Minis and Prima Say It In Crystals Heaven Sent and the card was pretty much finished.  Totally CAS!  It's always so nice to work with a paper collection and the die cuts and be able to create a quick card when needed.

Here is a close up of the sentiment and embellishments.  I love all of the sparkle from the crystals!

The card base is a white A2 top folding card.

Hello everyone!  Today I have a CAS (Clean and Simple) card to share with you using some of the beautiful papers from the Kaisercraft Cottage Rose collection and one of the sentiments from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - All Occasions Sentiments SET 1.

I truly believe having beautiful papers to work with is one of the keys to CAS cards.  It just makes it so much easier.  I used three of the pattern papers from the collection and layered them.  Then I took a strip of black cardstock and stamped one of the sentiments from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - All Occasions Sentiments SET 1 with VersaMark.  I heat embossed it using  Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder - White.  I added some Foam Tape behind the sentiment to pop it up.

I tied a bow onto the end of the sentiment strip with some Baby Pink Seam Binding and added a Prima Shabby Chic Treasures - Tassel.  To finish off the card I added a few Prima Say It In Crystals Heaven Sent and Petaloo Botanica Collection Pink Minis.

The card base is a black A2 top folding card.  Thanks so much for joining me today!  I hope you enjoyed this CAS card.  All of the supplies used are listed and linked below and can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  If you would like to see more card inspiration please be sure to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.

Blue Paradise Geode and Resin Canvas with Art Resin

Hello everyone!  Today. I am coming to you with something a little different.  As many of you know who have been following my blog for some time I love to create jewelry using resin, specifically ICE Resin and I have been doing that for many years now.  A few months back I started exploring different forms of art including abstract resin, acrylic, alcohol ink, and geode art.  I have shown a couple of little sneak peek pictures here on my blog.  I used to do a lot of detailed painting but now due to having fibromyalgia and RA my hand is just not that steady anymore so I'm not able to do the very detailed painting anymore. I missed painting!  But I am so thrilled to have found some new styles of painting and art that I can do and I absolutely LOVE IT!!!  I am having so much fun creating and I wanted to start sharing it with you.  I have made several pieces and canvases are starting to take over every little bit of free space lol.  I am going to be having a booth at Chapel Con which is a local event in July.  I will be having my abstract art and jewelry for sale at this event.  Last week I worked on one of my geode and resin art pieces and I love how it turned out!  So are you ready to see some art?

Here is my Blue Paradise Geode and Resin art piece.  For this piece I started out with a 12" x 16" premium gallery canvas.  The resin I have been using for my abstract art is Art Resin.  It is a wonderful resin to work with.  You can mix all kinds of products in the resin to color/tint it from alcohol inks to paints, and glitter, pigment powders and pastes and it cures crystal clear.  Everyone has their own way of creating art and I know some people like to do all of the layers of the resin for the geode art at one time (or one pour) start to finish.  But for myself I prefer to create the geode in layers.  So some of the pieces I create take a few days to several days to finish depending on how many layers I add.  Having multiple layers creates more depth in the pieces.

Here is a close up of one of the corners on the canvas.  I used a variety of products on this canvas including Art Resin, Pinata Inks, Alcohol Inks, ICE Resin Tints, crushed glass, crushed crystals, colored pebbles, Nuvo glitter, Perfect Pearls, and mica flakes.

Since I have worked with ICE Resin for so many years I feel like I had an advantage when it came to creating abstract art with resin.  I already know a lot of different techniques that can be done with resin and how the resin will react with different products added in.  It's kind of like when I create the jewelry but on a much larger scale.

I love how the center part of this geode turned out!  Plus I can add a light behind this area on the back of the canvas and it makes the geode look like it's glowing.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how the metallic gold is floating on top!!

The white, blue, aqua, and gold all blend so beautifully in the layers.  If you click on the image to enlarge it you can see bits of sparkle from the bottom layers too.

If you would like to see more pictures of the process and layers of the resin follow me on Instagram and Facebook.  I love using Instagram to share pictures of the process.  It's so quick and easy and then from there I can share it to Facebook too.  My plan is as I share more of my art I will be posting more to Instagram with pictures (and sharing on FB) and then doing a blog post once the pieces are finished.  You can click HERE to follow me on Instagram and click HERE to follow me on Facebook.

I hope you enjoyed today's project share!  As always, you can click on all of the images to enlarge them and see all of the details.  I will be sharing more of my abstract art pieces soon.  Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful and creative day!

Much love, hugs, and blessings,
Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Fairie Dust Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I have a beautiful fairy card to share with you using some of the gorgeous papers from the Graphic 45 Fairie Dust Collection.

Check out these papers!  I have to say I love fairies and I am in love with this paper collection!  I layered a couple of the papers and cut part of a border from one.  The main image is a cut out from the paper pad as well.  I added Foam Tape behind the image to add a little dimension.  Next, I added some 1/4" Variegated Silk Ribbon by May Arts and White Venise Lace and made a bow with the ribbon.  I added some Petaloo Botanica Collection FuchsiaPurpleTeal flowers to the center of the bow.  For a little bit of sparkle I added some Prima Say It In Crystals Zella Teal.  These crystals are so pretty and full of sparkle.

I just love this color combination!  The ribbon and flowers match the paper perfectly.

All of the paper layers were adhered to a white A2 top folding card base.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - CAS Wandering Ivy Happy Birthday Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) card to share with you using some of the beautiful papers from the KaiserCraft - Wandering Ivy Collection.

Here is the card I deigned.  One of the things I love about the Kaisercraft collections is that the paper pads are filled with decorative punch outs such as sentiments. tags, and other decorative elements.  I used three of the pattern papers in the collection along with a scalloped border.  I also add a few die cut flourish pieces from the KaiserCraft Wandering Ivy Collectables Die Cut Shapes to accent the flowers.

Here is a close up of the flower and flourish cluster.  I added some Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen on top of the die cut pieces and also the floral image in the top left corner.

I used the Tim Holtz Travel Stamp Platform to stamp the sentiment in the bottom right corner on to the pattern paper.  I have to say I am really loving this smaller version of the stamp platform.  It fits on my desk so much nicer and is great to use for making cards.

To finish off the card I added some Petaloo Botanica Collection Blue Baby Blooms and Darice 5mm Crystal Cup Sequins.  For the card base I used a white A2 side folding card.

Thanks so much for joining me today!  I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  This is a quick and easy card and it could be changed up for different occasions by simply changing the sentiment.  All of the supplies are listed and linked below and can also be found over at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  If you would like to see more card inspiration I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Love, hugs, and blessings,

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Woodgrain Happy Father's Day Card

Hello everyone!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I have a Father's Day card to share with you along with a tutorial on how I did the ink blending for the background of the card.

Here is the card I designed.  I used the Tim Holtz Woodgrain Layering Stencil along with the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks to create the background.

I started with a piece of Ranger Watercolor paper on my Ranger Non-stick Craft Mat Sheet.  I used the Mini Ink Blending Tools and three of the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks Antique LinenPeeled PaintVintage Photo.  I went over each color two times to get a nice smooth blend.

Next, I added water droplets using the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer.  I used a paper towel to blot up the water.

Then, I used some painters tape to hold the stencil in place.  I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool and the Walnut Stain ink with the stencil.

Here is a look at the paper after the stenciling was done.

The stenciling looked good but I wanted the colors to still look deeper so I applied a layer of the walnut stain ink over the entire piece.  I love how this turned out and that you can see all the different colors which helps to give the card more depth.

I used a sentiment from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - All Occasions Sentiments SET 2 SS-031 stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment using VersaMark Ink onto black cardstock.  Then, I applied Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder - White and used my heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.  I love the white embossing on back cardstock--it really pops!  Then I added some of the  May Arts Satin String Leaves Olive and May Arts Satin String Leaves Rust along the bottom and at the top of the card.  I did use a little bit of hot glue behind some of the leaves to help hold the ribbon in place.  To finish off the card I added a few black My Mind's Eye Record It Charmed Enamel Dots.

I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  This is a card that could be used for several different occasions by simply switching out the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  All of the supplies to create the card are listed and linked below and can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  If you would like to see more card inspiration I encourage you to check out the Stamp Simply Blog.  There is lots of inspiration from the design team!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Seek and You Will Find Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and I have a fun all occasions card to share with you using the  Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Farmhouse Scripture Quotes and some of the beautiful papers from the Graphic 45 Sun Kissed collection.

Here is a look at the card I designed.  I love the ocean and beach themed papers in this collection.  I thought this sea turtle paper worked perfectly with the sentiment.

I wanted to add a little something to the pattern paper for some interest but I didn't want it to take away from the images.  I decided to stencil over the paper except for the area with the turtle in the middle of the paper.  I wanted this to be very subtle so I used the Delicata White Shimmer Pigment Ink along with the Tim Holtz Splash Layering Stencil.  The Delicata inks are great for techniques like this because they add just a little bit of shimmer.

Here is a close up of the stenciling.  I also added Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder - Clear and used my heat tool to melt and heat set the powders.  Do this added some shimmer and texture to the paper and it's kind of a fun surprise to see when you move the card around and the light hits it.

I added some Glossy Accents to the turtle so he would stand out just a little more.

Here is another close up and you can see I added a little more glossy accents to the tiny white bubbles.

I stamped one of the sentiments from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Farmhouse Scripture Quotes SS-026 set with VersaMark Ink onto black cardstock and then I added Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder - White.  I used my heat tool to melt and heat set the embossing powder.  I love the white embossing on the black cardstock.  The card base is a black A2 top folding card.  I added some  Foam Tape in between the paper layers and to finish off the card I added a few Prima Say It In Crystals Zella Teal.  I love these crystals!  They are so sparkly.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed the card share.  All of the supplies to create the card are listed and linked below and can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  If you would like to see more card inspiration from the design team I encourage you to visit the Stamp Simply Blog.

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Spring Summer 2018 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello and good morning to everyone!  Today, I have a card to share with you that I designed for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  But I am also participating in the Spring Summer 2018 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop so my card goes along with the summertime theme for the hop.

Anyone can participate in the Spring Summer 2018 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and there are loads of wonderful prizes too!  You can click HERE to find out all of the details and join in the fun.

Flowers always make me think of summertime.  Here is the card I designed for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I used some of the beautiful pattern papers from the Graphic 45 Fairie Dust 8 x 8 Paper Pad.  To die cut the coffee cup I used the Stamp Simply Steel Dies - Coffee or Tea? SS-DIE011 and a piece of the pretty floral pattern paper and also Bazzill Gold Mirror Cardstock.  I wanted the cup to have some gold accents.  I die cut both the cup and the handle with the gold mirror cardstock.  Then I cut the cup die cut in half and offset it with the floral die cut cup so the top and bottom edges would be accented with gold.

Here you can see a close up of the coffee cup.  I added Foam Tape to the backside of the cup for some added dimension.  I added some  Petaloo Botanica Collection Baby Blooms Purple and Minis Coral for embellishments.

For the sentiment I die cut the word coffee from black card stock three times and then layered the die cuts.  Using VersaMark Ink I stamped the sentiment from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Coffee or Tea? SS-023 on to a piece of black card stock and then heat embossed it using Ranger Super Fine White Embossing Powder and my heat tool.  I fussy cut the fishtail end and added some foam tape to pop the sentiment up.  I also added another flower by the sentiment.

I knew I wanted to use the beautiful pattern paper with the violets for the background.  But I wanted to soften it a bit so the coffee cup would still stand out and not get lost in the background paper so I added a piece of Vellum as a top layer.  I love how you can still see the pattern paper but it really softened the look.  I used a white A2 top folding card base for this card.

Sharon, is having a sale over at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store on ALL items in the Coffee/Tea section so if you're looking for some new goodies I encourage you to check it out.  If you would like to see more card inspiration be sure to visit The Stamp Simply Blog.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day and holiday weekend!

Love, hugs, and blessings,
Heidi

The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Best Wishes to the Graduate Card

Hello and good morning to everyone!  This past week seems like it just flew by.  Here where we live the kids only have one week of school left.  Where did the year go?  Can't believe our youngest will be a junior next year!  The graduation open houses are starting right away next weekend so I am trying to get graduation cards done so they will be ready to go.

This isn't a traditional looking graduation card but I love how it turned out.  I used some of the beautiful papers from the  Kaisercraft - Wandering Ivy collection.  I just love these papers!  The images are so pretty and Kaiseercraft never disappoints.

For the sentiment I used one of the tags from the back of the paper pad.  It originally said -- Best Wishes to You.  I wanted to cover up the -- to You part on the tag and add To the Graduate so I created a banner.  I used a piece of black cardstock and prepped it with the EK Success Powder Tool.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Scripture for Graduation & Beyond SS-028 stamp set using VersaMark Ink.  Next, I applied Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder - White and used my heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.  I fussy cut fishtail ends on the strip of cardstock to create the banner.  I added some beautiful May Arts 1.5" Sheer Flower w/Pearl Center - Blue ribbon around the card and then I added the tag and banner on top.  I added Foam Tape to both the tag and banner to add some dimension to the card.  To finish off the card I added some Prima Flowers - Serenade Blue and some My Mind's Eye Blue Enamel Dots.

I adhered all of the layers to a white A2 top folding card base and that finished off the card.  This paper collection is full of tags and other cut outs that are similar to the one I used on my card and can very easily be changed up by creating a banner sentiment to go along with them.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed the card share!  All of the supplies used to create the card are listed and linked below and can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  If you would like to see more card inspiration from the design team I encourage you to visit the Stamp Simply Blog.

I hope you have a wonderful day and happy Friday!

Hugs, love and blessings,
Heidi
