Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop - September Ribbon Club

Good morning blogging friends!  Today, is the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop for the month of September.  The RRR Design Team Members and Special Events Design Team Members will be showcasing the Monthly Ribbon Club

This month there is a wonderful assortment of Orange, Black, Purple, Green and Printed  ribbons included in the September Ribbon Club.   These are perfect for Halloween!  Click HERE for more details.

If you are following the order of the blog hop you should have just come from Bonnie's Blog. If not and you just happened to pop in for a visit please click HERE to start the blog hop at the Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings! Blog.

For my project I designed this fun Halloween mini wall hanging.  I love Halloween and decorating for it!  I started with a little wood cut out and used a Black Copic Marker along the outer edges.  Then I covered the entire piece with some pattern paper from Graphic 45 Happy Haunting Collection.  I lightly sanded and inked the edges.  I used Donna Salazar Black Mix'd Media Inx along the edges.  Next using hot glue I added the black ribbon and created a ruffle all long the outer edges.

Here is a close up of the ribbon.  I used S4-333 Spider Web die template from Spellbinders to add the little web and spider.  I love this die template set--I think it's one of my favorite Halloween dies!  I added Black Soot Jellie Dots for the eyes and applied them using Scrap Happy Sheer Glue and the Stick "EM" Up Tool from The Rubber Cafe'.  The sweet Halloween image is from the Happy Haunting Collection.  I also used S4-331 Pumpkin Circles die template to create the die cut layer behind the image.

Using several of the ribbons I created a fun and funky little flower with leaves.  I added bling for the flower  center and brushed the entire flower with some Diamond Stickle for a little sparkle.  To create the leaves I used  S5-129 Foliage Two.  I also added stickles to the leaves, image and eyes on the spider.

Here is a picture of the base of the flower.  I made cone shaped loops and glued them down to a piece of scrap paper.  I added two layers of the purple ribbon.  Then I cut small strips and cut a V shape on the ends and glued in place.  I have one row of orange and one row of black.

Now to continue in the blog hop you need to hop on over to Patti's Blog and check out her fantastic project!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you enjoy the Really Reasonable Blog Hop!! Don't forget to visit the RRR Store and check out all of the beautiful ribbons, lace and trims!

I hope you have a wonderful and creative day!

JustRite Papercraft September New Release - Lace Background - BOO Halloween Card

Hello!  Today, I have another New Release from JustRite Papercraft to share with you.

The CL-03920 Lace Background from JustRite Papercraft is a beautiful, lacy and very detailed stamp that can be used for all occasions.

Here is the card that I designed using  CL-03920 Lace Background.  I used Donna Salazar Black Mix'd Media Inx and stamped the image on to Orange Fizz cardstock.  Then I heat set the ink.  I love the Mix'd Media inks--they are so rich and creamy and the ink blends beautifully.  Next I fussy cut the image and then lightly inked the edges.  Then I layered the lace background with Violet 65# and Soot cardstock.

To create the die cuts I used S5-123 Asian AccentsS4-333 Spider WebS5-053 Pumpkin Accents die templates from Spellbinders.  The cute little vintage Halloween image is from Graphic 45 Happy Haunting.  I used a BOO sticker from Me & My Big Ideas and glued it to the back of a stick pin.  I used Purple & Black Seam Binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon to create the bow.  To finish off the card I added a little bling to the corners.

Please be sure to visit each of the JustRite Papercraft Designers listed in the link list below to see what they have been busy creating with the New CL-03920 Lace Background.

Hello blogging friends!  Today I have a New Release from JustRite Papercraft to share with you.

The newest release is CR-03905 Lace Medallions, a beautiful lacy stamp set which includes two large medallions, two small medallions, a border, six accents and four sentiments.  This stamp set also coordinates with JustRite Custom Dies JB-10025 Nested Oval Medallion Label Dies, JB-10020 Nested Medallion Label Dies and Spellbinders E8-007 Classic Edges One.

Here is the card that I designed using the CR-03905 Lace Medallions.  I used one of  the lacy accent stamps along with Angel Pink and Desert Sand ink to create the background paper for my card.

I stamped the sentiment on to Simply Smooth Ivory paper from Discount Cardstock using Rich Cocoa ink.  Then I used JustRite Papercraft Custom Dies JB-03775 Antique Tags One Dies to create the tag shape.  I inked the edges of the tag with Desert Sand and Rich Cocoa ink.  Next I created a little flower cluster of roses and leaves using Pink Lemonade and Pine papers and S5-086 Bitty Blossoms, S5-129 Foliage Two die templates from Spellbinders.  I also added a beautiful cameo from Shabby Scraps and the ribbon and trims are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I used several of the lace, ribbon and trim from the May Arts Ribbon Sampler Vintage Pink.

Here is a close up of the cameo.  I added a little lace behind the Cameo and then added a Antique Bronze Blank Cameo Charm.  I used the Distrezz-it-All to distress the edges of the paper and then I added a few pearls.

Blog Candy Winner - Shabby Chic Vase/Business Card Holder

Hello blogging friends!  Sorry I have been mia for a few days.  We had a storm come through a couple of days ago and we didn't have any power or internet.  But everything is up and going and now I am trying to play catch up with blogging.  ;-)   This blog post is going to be a mix of a few different things--Blog Candy Winner, a project to share and answering some emails and comments.

First lets start off with announcing the WINNER of the Bazzill Basics Paper Blog Candy.

I want to say Thank You so much to everyone who played along!!

This time I printed out all of the comments and cut them into strips.

Then I had my little guy help me out again and pick a winner.

And the Winner IS----------->

CONGRATULATIONS Jan Castle!!!
Jan Castle said... 16
Great tags Heidi! I am a follower and do so enjoy your blog! I like the Beach House...guess it is because our daughter lives a block from the beach and all the pictures I get from her are at the beach...LOL!
Paper Hugs,
Jan Castle in Salem, OR

I have emailed Jan and I am sure I will be hearing from her really soon.  She is a sweet lady and has been a follower on my blog for a long time.

Ok, now for a project to share.

A couple of weeks ago my neighbor lady had a garage sale and I picked up this little vase.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it because it was pretty tiny but I thought it was really cute and I figured I could alter it or us it in a project.  I took it out the other day and when I was looking at it trying to figure out what I could do I realized this would make a really pretty shabby chic business card holder.

I decided to alter it and this is what I came up with.  I added a medium sized pink chandelier piece and then I added circle pearl sprays to each size.

I filled in the center with pink mulberry flowers, pink and white ribbon and porcelain roses, white porcelain roses and clear mini chandelier pieces.  All of the embellishments are from Pro 31 Designs.

I just love how this turned out!  ;-)

I want to answer the comments and emails that I have received in regards to having the word verification on my blog in the comments.  I know that sometime it can be hard to read it and I am sorry but there isn't anything that I can do to change that.  Last week I had a few comments with people saying they don't like the word verification and I also had a few emails about it.  I originally put it on because I was having a lot of issues with  spam comments.  But I thought I would take it off again and see how things go.  Within less then 24 hours I had 15+ spam hits and comments on my blog.  So I turned the word verification back on.  I am sorry and I know it is a pain but I just do not have the time to monitor the blog for spam so for now it will stay until I can come up with a better solution.  Thanks for understanding!! ♥

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you all have a Fantastic weekend!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Pumpkin Patch Scrapbook Layout

***If you are looking for the Blog Candy post click HERE***

Hello!  Today, I have a scrapbook layout from our visit to the pumpkin patch last year to share with you.

Every year we visit Farmer John's Pumpkin Patch and these are some of the pictures of my youngest son and husband from last year.  We always have a lot of fun walking through the pumpkin filled fields in search of the Great Pumpkin!  We picked some fun ones last year--they weren't all perfect.  A couple of them were the really bumpy ones and they sure are fun to decorate!

I added a pumpkin border along the bottom of the page.  I used S5-053 Pumpkin Accents die templates from Spellbinders and Orange Fizz paper from Discount Cardstock to create the die cut.  Then I added Banana Split paper on the backside and added Diamond Stickle to the front for a little bit of sparkle.

For the smaller faux Polaroid pictures I used S5-149 Snapshot and S4-126 Classic Squares Large die templates from Spellbinders and Simply Smooth Ivory paper from Discount Cardstock.  After I had the die cuts made I inked the edges with Antique Linen and Rich Cocoa inks and then layered the two pieces together.  I also added another little pumpkin and vines to the top of the page.

I can't believe how fast the time flew by!  It won't be long and it will be time for another visit to Farmer John's Pumpkin Patch.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a Fantastic weekend!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Friends are Flowers Card

Hello!  Today, I have a fun little friendship card to share with you.

I know I don't usually design cutesy cards but I have to tell you I just love this little image and it was so fun to color.  Besides when I read the name of the little stamp I just had to get it--Heidi among the Flowers.  ;-)
The stamp is from C.C. Designs.

To start I stamped the image on to Simply Smooth White using Rich Cocoa ink and then I colored it with Copic markers.  I don't usually color images of people so I had to do a little practicing on the hair but I think it came out pretty good.  Then I used S4-161 Labels One die template to cut/emboss the image.

These are the Copic markers I used to color the image.

I stamped the image on to some copy paper and then fussy cut it to create a mask for the colored image.  Using a 2-Way Glue Pen I added some adhesive to the back of the mask and let it dry so it was just a little tacky.  Then I placed the mask over the colored image that was still in the die template and airbrushed the sky using a Copic marker and the Copic airbrush system.

Here is a close up of the finished image.  After I did the airbrushing I stamped the sentiment from Amy R. Friend Sentiments.  Then I added some Diamond Stickles to the center of the flowers and the little hair pretties.  I used the S4-379 Decorative Labels One with Violet 65# cardstock to cut/emboss the decorative label shape and then I layered the two labels.

For the base of the card I used Violet 65# and then for the mats I used Blue 67# and Pink Lemonade.  All of the paper I used is from Discount Cardstock.  To create the mats I used S5-131 A2 Matting Basics A and  S5-132 A2 Matting Basics B die templates from Spellbinders.   To finish of the card I added White Mini Pom-Poms (love these!!) and 1/8'' Diagonal Stripe Lavender Ribbon from  Really Reasonable Ribbon .

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Huge & Smiles,
Heidi

For my first project I made a couple of decorative tags using Beach House 6 x 6 Mini Prints.

For the first tag I fussy cut two of the smaller tags from the pattern paper.  I inked the edges on both tags with Vintage Photo ink.  I added a small strip of red pattern paper to the bicycle tag and then I added brads to both tags.  I added a few strips of pattern paper to the larger tag and then inked the tag with Vintage Photo and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.

Next I added some small pieces of hemp rope and then layered the smaller tags with 3D Foam Squares.

To embellish the tag I added Holly Berry Red Jellie Dots from The Rubber Cafe' and a custom made button using the pattern paper and Epiphany Crafts EC Button Studio Round 14 Punch & Self Adhesive Buttons.

For my second tag I inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink and then I used a stamped image from CR-03710 Anchors Away from JustRite Papercraft and added the pattern paper.  I fussy cut the three tags, inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and then added brads.

Here is a close up of the three small tags.

I added some Earthy True Hemp from Really Reasonable Ribbon across the bottom of the tag.  For the embellishment I used Epiphany Crafts EC Shape Studio Round 14 Punch & Bubble Caps Vintage Settings Cabana and a piece of the Beach House 6 x 6 Mini Prints.

For my second project I designed a card using both the Beach House 6 x 6 Mini Prints and  Card Shoppe Cotton Candy along with some 12 x 12 White Bazzil Paper.

The image is from Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Flora the Cyclist and I colored it using Copic Markers.  Once the image was colored I used S5-127 Labels Twenty-Eight to cut/emboss the label shape.  Then I used the Scrap happy Sheer Glue from The Rubber Cafe' and added some Diamond Clear Glitter.

Next I designed a ribbon flower using Sheer Box Pleats Pink Ribbon and White Mini Pom-Poms from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  For the flower center I added a Faux Rhinestone Ribbon Slider and a Flat Back Pearl from Beady Bom Bom.  I made the leaf die cut using S5-129 Foliage Two and covered it with glitter.

I airbrushed the sky and the grass and on the inside of the tag with the sentiment. To create the tag I used S4-367 Back to Basics Tags die templates from Spellbinders.

I hope you enjoyed both of the projects I designed using Beach House 6 x 6 Mini Prints and Card Shoppe papers from Bazzill Basics Paper.  Thank you so much for stopping by today and good luck!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi
