Bronze & Ivory Fleur De Lis Necklace - Spellbinders Media Mixáge Collection

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all having a great week.  Today, I have a necklace to share with you using one of the bezels from the Spellbinder® Media Mixáge™ Collection.

I made this necklace for my friend Anna and I didn't want to post it until after I knew she had received it since it was a surprise.  I was sending her some goodies so I asked her a bunch of different questions about favorite colors and products so I could get an idea of what she might like.  She said she loved bronze, ivory, black and silver so this is what I came up with using those colors.

Here is a close up of the bezel. For the bezel I used MB2-007 Susan Lenart Kazmer for Spellbinders™ Media Mixáge™ Fleur de Lis Bezel - Bronze.  To started I added ICED Enamels® Medium in to the base of my bezel.  Then I sprinkled in some of the ICED Enamels® Ivory Relique and made sure to cover the entire surface.  Then I removed the excess and put it back in the container.  Next, I sprinkled in some of the ICED Enamels® Relique Glitz Powder Gold.  I used my heat tool to melt the ICED Enamels and the Glitz Powder.  For myself I have found that if I use a craft tweezers to hold the bezel then I can start to heat set from the bottom of the bezel.  Doing this allows the powders to melt and not blow out of the bezel.  Once the powders start to melt then I used the heat tool on the top of the bezel.  ***Please be very careful when doing this--the bezel will get really hot!  I also use a craft mat to set the bezel on while I am heating the powders.  When you are done with the heat tool set the bezel aside to cool off.

I added a few rhinestones inside the bezel and then I mixed up the ICE Resin® 1 oz. Syringe Singles according to the instructions and filled the bezel.  I also added some of the ICE Resin on the outer edges of the bezel.  Doing this brightens up the bronze color a little.  Set the bezel aside for 6-8 hrs so the resin can set and harden up.  Once the resin was set then I added a metal filigree flower piece, flower bead cap and a crystal to the center of the Fleur de Lis.  The silver filigree flower and crystal are both from ButterBeeScraps.

I used a combination of bronze and silver chain, ivory pearls, black beads and silver crystals to finish the necklace.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi
