Creating with Dimestore Vogue from Vintage Street Market

Hello blogging friends! Today is my post day over at the Vintage Street Market Blog and I have Linksome fun projects to share with you today. With Spring in the air I have been creating with a lot of pink, yellow and blue--pretty pastel colors.

I designed a quick and easy card with a touch of bling, an altered candy box and a tag.

I covered the top of the candy box with some of the pattern paper from Dimestore Vogue Paper Sheets & Tags. I edged the top of the box with a light blue mini ric-rac from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I added a decorative tag, a label and buttons all from the die cut sheet included in the Dimestore Vogue collection. Then I edged the sides of the box with a Azalea Satin Double Ruffle Ribbon, Emily white crochet lace trim and light yellow mini ric-rac from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

This is how the candy box looked before I altered it.

Then I added a cluster of flowers and leaves with a couple of trinket pins. I created the yellow roses using the pattern paper from Dimestore Vogue and the S5-086 Bitty Blossom die template from Spellbinders. The other flowers and leaves are from I am Roses.

I added Diamond Glitter from The Rubber Cafe to the flowers for a little sparkle and I used a few pieces of Linen Tinted Tape around the edges to the tag. In the top corner I added a pink and mimosa yellow seam binding bow. The seam binding is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Using tiny ivory pearls (coming soon) from The Rubber Cafe I added buttons to the dresses, an earring and a bracelet.

This little card is so quick and easy to make but I just love the look! I used a pink Bingo Craft Card and stamped a sentiment from CR-02230 Topsy Turvy Cakes from JustRite Stampers on the top, added a few large ivory pearls (coming soon) from The Rubber Cafe and added a rhinestone ribbon slider with some pink seam binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Easy peasy!

Love the sparkle!

For my last project I made a tag--this would be great to add to a gift bag or a card front. The tag is from the die cut sheet in the Dimestore Vogue collection. I stamped a sentiment at the top using one of the stamps from CR-03570 With Sympathy stamp set from JustRite Stampers and then added a piece of blue flower trim with ivory pearls in the center.

Next I added a die cut dress form with some vintage ivory and blue crochet lace trim and Pink Twirly Twine. For the bottom of the tag I added a rose and doily die cuts with some light blue double ruffle ribbon and Penelope Natural Crochet lace trim. To create the die cuts I used S5-088 Sewing Elements, S5-086 Bitty Blossoms and S4-345 Picot Edge Circles all from Spellbinders. I used Kraft, Frosted Pink Prismatic and Simply Smooth Ivory cardstock from Discount Cardstock for the die cuts.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a Fantastic weekend!!

Hugs & Smiles,

Heidi

You made some lovely items, but I like the simplicity of the bingo card the best. You might wanna stop by my blog and see all the fashion goodies I just posted, you just might think of 20 or thirty more things to make.

  7. I really love all the elements you added to enhance these projects. They are just sooo cool. I made a cookbook (notebooks with front and back pockets from Office Max) for my daughters a while back inserting some crazy things in them and they turned out absolutely spectacular. I even went on to make two more for my cookin' hubby. I love the retro look! Cool job you did with these esp those pearl "buttons".
