Crafty Secrets DT Challenge - Childhood Theme

Good morning! Today is the Crafty Secrets monthly Design Team Challenge and this is out first challenge with all of our new design team members. This month our theme is Childhood. I will have a link list at the bottom of the post so you can visit each of the design team members to see what they have been busy creating. For the challenge I designed this cute little gift/treat box with a matching card. I used the New CD from Crafty Secrets, Creating with Vintage Patterns for my background paper and to create the little box.For the box I printed the pattern paper on one side and then printed the pattern for the box on the other side. Then I hand cut the template, scored and folded and added adhesive to the flaps to create the box. Creating the box was so quick and easy and this pattern can be found on the Crafty Secrets Creating with Vintage Patterns CD too.Next I stamped the images from the Birthday Kids stamp set and started to add color using Copic markers. Here I colored the skin.Lastly I colored the hair, cake and candles.I added some diamond stickles for a little sparkle and a handmade crochet flower with a button. You could use this for a little treat box for a birthday party or a little gift box. Here is the matching little card.I added some diamond stickles and some seam binding for a bow.Supplies

Ink: Tuskineko Memento Rich Cocoa; Ranger Antique Linen; Copic Markers
