Before we get started with the projects, we’d like to send a special thanks to Want2Scrap™ for their generous donation of Nestabling™ for our designers to work with.

Please Check out the Fantastic project by Dana Gustafson posted on the Scrap-Mart Blog.
Dana is the Guest Designer on the Scrap-Mart Blog today!! Please check out Dana's Blog for all of the details on how she created her project.
Today, for my project I designed a scrapbook layout with one of our Florida vacation pictures. This one is from when we went to Disney. Our little guy had the time of his life getting all painted and dressed up to be a skull pirate!!
To embellish the Pirates of the Caribbean photo I used the Grand Calibur and S4-162 Labels Two from Spellbinders to cut/emboss the die cut shape. Then I added Nestabling™ Labels Two Red Rhinestones from Want2Scrap™.

For the border of skulls across the bottom I used S4-279 Graveyard Scene and Shapes. I added Baby Red Rhinestones from Want2Scrap™ for the eyes.

For the swords I used S4-300 Heraldry with silver art engraving foil and added Baby Red Rhinestones to the handles.

Crafty Secrets DT Challenge - Childhood Theme

Good morning! Today is the Crafty Secrets monthly Design Team Challenge and this is out first challenge with all of our new design team members. This month our theme is Childhood. I will have a link list at the bottom of the post so you can visit each of the design team members to see what they have been busy creating. For the challenge I designed this cute little gift/treat box with a matching card. I used the New CD from Crafty Secrets, Creating with Vintage Patterns for my background paper and to create the little box.For the box I printed the pattern paper on one side and then printed the pattern for the box on the other side. Then I hand cut the template, scored and folded and added adhesive to the flaps to create the box. Creating the box was so quick and easy and this pattern can be found on the Crafty Secrets Creating with Vintage Patterns CD too.Next I stamped the images from the Birthday Kids stamp set and started to add color using Copic markers. Here I colored the skin.Lastly I colored the hair, cake and candles.I added some diamond stickles for a little sparkle and a handmade crochet flower with a button. You could use this for a little treat box for a birthday party or a little gift box. Here is the matching little card.I added some diamond stickles and some seam binding for a bow.Supplies
Stamps: Crafty Secrets Birthday Kids
Paper: Crafty Secrets Creating with Vintage Patterns CD
Ink: Tuskineko Memento Rich Cocoa; Ranger Antique Linen; Copic Markers

Mix and Match Nestabling™

Good morning! Today, I have a card with a matching notepad and tutorial to share with you and some mixing and matching with the Nestabling™. Although Nestabling™ is made to match specific die cuts you can mix and match the Nestabling™ with other die cuts and the possibilities are endless as to what you can create. For the card and notepad I used Nestabling™ Heart Circles Lavender Pearls and Nestabling™ Scalloped Hearts Pink Rhinestones with other die cuts. To start I dry brushed two of the Chipboard Embellishments - Style A using Warm White paint. Then I brushed on some GemTac™ from Beacon Adhesives™ and added a clear chunky glitter. I wanted some of the raw chipboard to show through so I did not apply the GemTac™ to the entire piece of chipboard.Next I used the Grand Calibur™ and S4-296 Nested Hearts from Spellbinders™ to cut/emboss the the heart shapes with Orchid Cascata Felt cardstock. Then I left the paper in the die template and used the die template as a stencil and added ink and I also inked the edges after removing the paper using Dusty Concord ink. Then I added Nestabling™ Scalloped Hearts Pink Rhinestones to the heart die cuts. Using the Grand Calibur™ and S4-293 Lacey Circles #5 I cut/embossed the circle shape. Then I added Nestabling™ Heart Circles Lavender Pearls and Sprinkle-N-Sparkle Lacy Lilac Glitter. Here is a close up of the glitter. Here is a close up of the top of the notepad. I also added a bow and a paper rose to the center of the heart. Here is a close up of the card front.

Spellbinders Butterfly Rose Gatefold Card

Hello! I am so thrilled that I finally get to share today's card with all of you!! I designed this card last month for Spellbinders™ and Kim Hupke, Education Director for Spellbinders™ used this card for the deminar (demo/seminar) /make-n-take at Art-Full Horizons. Click HERE to check out some photos from the retreat.
All of the papers are from g∙c∙d Studios and the die templates are from the Donna Salazar Collection and LF-246 Grand Labels Eleven by Spellbinders™.

Using the Grand Calibur cut/emboss LF-246 Grand Labels Eleven #6. Cut/Emboss S5-051 Fanciful Flight, cut S5-050 Rose Creation #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 (#1 being the smallest). Score and fold Labels Eleven at 2" and 2-1/2" on each side.
Apply adhesive to fold on left side and attach seam binding.
Sand butterfly wings **work from the center (body) outward.
Place each flower die cut on to the foam pad and use a stylus/bone folder working in a circular motion to shape the flower. Working in a circular motion the flower will start to take shape.
Once each flower piece is shaped stack the flower going from the largest to the smallest for the center and apply adhesive in between each layer. Add a 72 Count - White Pearls from Want2Scrap™ to the center of the flower.
Use adhesive to apply butterfly to the fold on the left and add the rose to the center of the butterfly.
