Crafty Secrets - Halloween Tags - Spellbinders Dies

Hello! I hope everyone enjoyed the Labor Day and the long holiday weekend!! We had a very nice weekend--we went to the Renaissance Festival on Saturday and then went and had fun doing some out of town shopping on Sunday with the boys. Today was the first day back to school for our oldest son--it's his last year of high school! I am hoping the year goes by slowly but in reality I know it's going to fly by and he will be graduating before I know it. So I want to enjoy each and every moment. I don't usually post YouTube videos but a friend shared this with me and I just thought it was so neat and worth sharing with all of you.

I just love this video!! It is so true--I hope you enjoy all the Ordinary Days!!

Today, I have some fun Halloween tags to share with you using Halloween Greetings Creative Scraps from Crafty Secrets and some of the limited edition Halloween die templates from Spellbinders™. These tags were very fun and easy to make and they would look so cute added to a Halloween treat or gift bag.To create the black mat for the background I taped the S4-287 Nested Candy Corn dies #3 together and traces around the outer edges of the die templates. Then I hand cut the black candy corn shape. I used white, orange and yellow cardstock along with the S4-287 Nested Candy Corn dies #3 to cut/emboss the diecut shapes for the candy corn. Here is Halloween tag #1--The vintage image and sentiment is from the Halloween Greetings Creative Scraps from Crafty Secrets and the bats were created using S4-277 Nested Bats 3 smallest dies. I embellished the tag with buttons, brads, ribbon and stickles. Here is a close-up of Halloween tag #1.Halloween tag #2--The The vintage image and ticket is from the Halloween Greetings Creative Scraps from Crafty Secrets. The cat diecut was created using S4-282 Witches' Brew. Here is a close-up of Halloween tag #2. To make the cat's eyes green I cut/embossed two cats--one in black and one in green. I added a small piece of tape to the head of the black cat and then saved to eyes (drop out pieces) from the green cat and placed them on top of the tape. Then I added green stickles to the eyes. Halloween tag #3---The vintage image and sentiment is from the Halloween Greetings Creative Scraps from Crafty Secrets. The cauldron was created using S4-282 Witches' Brew. Here is a close-up of Halloween tag #3. To add the red flames in the cauldron I cut/embossed it twice once in black and once in red. I trimmed the red flame and taped it in place and then added stickles for a little sparkle. I also used S5-025 Labels Seventeen on each of the tags as a mat behind the vintage images.
