Just For Fun® Design Team Hop - Miracles Everywhere Card & a Step-by-step Tutorial - Blog Candy!!

Good morning! Today is the Just For Fun® Design Team Hop and all of the Design Team Members have been busy creating . Please be sure to hop on over and visit each of them and see some creative inspiration and there will be some Blog Candy too!! I will have a link list for all of the Just For Fun® Designers at the bottom of this post along with a couple pictures of some Blog Candy! Here is the card that I created for today's JFF® Design Team Hop. I used several stamp images from Just For Fun® to create a collage look. As I was making the card I decided to take pictures of each step and create a tutorial to share with you. The collage look is not a hard one to achieve it just takes a few step.Step 1~I started with a 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of white cardstock and used Antique Linen Ink with a script stamp and randomly stamped the image. Step 2~ I added the tulips on each side using Peeled Paint Ink.Step 3~I used Worn Lipstick and Broken China Ink on the lady and butterfly collage image and I used the Rock-n-Roll technique. For the Rock-n-Roll technique ink the image up with one color (usually the lighter color) and then add the second ink only to the edges of the image. When you do this you place the ink pad on the edge of the stamp and kind of rock-n-roll it going around the edges. Steps 4 & 5~Using the Broken China ink stamp the butterfly images in the top corners. Sometimes the distress inks take a little longer to dry and I didn't want the embossing powder to get on the other images so I used my heat tool and heat set the inks before moving on to the next step. I used the flourish stamp with gold pigment ink going around the edges and then I used gold embossing powder and heat set.Step 6~ For the bottom half of the paper I added Peeled Paint ink using a cotton ball in a circular motion to create a nice soft inked effect.Step 7~ For the top half of the paper I used Broken China ink. I applied the ink as mentioned above and I also added the same color of ink to the inside of the butterfly image.Step 8~ Using Gem-Tac from Beacon Adhesives I applied Tiny Twinkles (black rhinestones) from Taylored Expressions to the center of the larger flowers in the flourish image. Here is a close-up of the Tiny Twinkles.Step 9~ I added a black mat to the stamped image and then for the card base I wanted to add a little more of the blue so I inked the edges of the card base with Broken China ink.Step 10~I created a tag for the sentiment using the Fancy Tags S4-235 and Labels Trio S3-147 die templates from Spellbinders™. On the Labels Trio tag I added some Peeled Paint ink and on the word sticker I added Broken China ink. I layered the tags and the word sticker using foam tape from 3M.Here is a close-up of the embossing.Another close-up.Here is another look at the finished card. I took this picture at an angle so you would be able to see the pretty gold embossed detail.
