Hello blogging friends! Today, is my day to post for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. Did you hear the exciting news earlier this week? Sharon, owner of The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store now has her own stamp line - Stamp Simply Clear Stamps. There is also a Giveaway!! If you missed my post from earlier this week with the Blog Hop you can click HERE to check out all of the details.
There are four stamp sets in this first release and today I am using the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps - Deepest Sympathy stamp set for my card. I love that Sharon included scripture in the stamp sets and they are verses that many of us have come to know and love so much. I stamped The Lord is My Shepherd on to a piece of ivory cardstock using Memento - Espresso Truffle ink. Then I used the Spellbinders - Labels Forty to die cut the label shapes. I also used a sheet of paper from the Prima Stationer's Desk 6 x 6 Paper Pad. After I die cut the verse then I lightly inked around the outside of the die cut with Tim Holtz Distress Inks to match some of the colors in the pattern paper. I started with Antique Linen. Next, I added Spun Sugar to the center of the die cut. Then I added more ink around the edges using Vintage Photo and lastly I used Memento - Espresso Truffle. Layering the inks this way adds some depth and interest to the paper. I layered the two die cuts using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares. Then I used E-Z Runner to assemble the card with the kraft cardstock base and a black mat with the die cuts layered on top. To finish off the outside of the card I added a couple Petaloo Botanica Collection Red Minis flowers and Melisa Frances Cream Pearls.
Another great thing about all of the new Stamp Simply Clear Stamps is they not only have beautiful sentiments for the outside of your cards but also for the inside. You can mix and match and stack the sentiments to create unique sentiments for the inside of your cards. I used a black mat on the inside of the card and then I created another die cut using Spellbinders - Labels Forty. I stamped the sentiment using the Deepest Sympathy stamp set with Memento - Espresso Truffle ink. I also lightly inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Antique Linen.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
