Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop - September Ribbon Club

Good morning blogging friends!  Today, is the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop for the month of September.  The RRR Design Team Members and Special Events Design Team Members will be showcasing the Monthly Ribbon Club

This month there is a wonderful assortment of Orange, Black, Purple, Green and Printed  ribbons included in the September Ribbon Club.   These are perfect for Halloween!  Click HERE for more details.

If you are following the order of the blog hop you should have just come from Bonnie's Blog. If not and you just happened to pop in for a visit please click HERE to start the blog hop at the Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings! Blog.

For my project I designed this fun Halloween mini wall hanging.  I love Halloween and decorating for it!  I started with a little wood cut out and used a Black Copic Marker along the outer edges.  Then I covered the entire piece with some pattern paper from Graphic 45 Happy Haunting Collection.  I lightly sanded and inked the edges.  I used Donna Salazar Black Mix'd Media Inx along the edges.  Next using hot glue I added the black ribbon and created a ruffle all long the outer edges.

Here is a close up of the ribbon.  I used S4-333 Spider Web die template from Spellbinders to add the little web and spider.  I love this die template set--I think it's one of my favorite Halloween dies!  I added Black Soot Jellie Dots for the eyes and applied them using Scrap Happy Sheer Glue and the Stick "EM" Up Tool from The Rubber Cafe'.  The sweet Halloween image is from the Happy Haunting Collection.  I also used S4-331 Pumpkin Circles die template to create the die cut layer behind the image.

Using several of the ribbons I created a fun and funky little flower with leaves.  I added bling for the flower  center and brushed the entire flower with some Diamond Stickle for a little sparkle.  To create the leaves I used  S5-129 Foliage Two.  I also added stickles to the leaves, image and eyes on the spider.

Here is a picture of the base of the flower.  I made cone shaped loops and glued them down to a piece of scrap paper.  I added two layers of the purple ribbon.  Then I cut small strips and cut a V shape on the ends and glued in place.  I have one row of orange and one row of black.

Now to continue in the blog hop you need to hop on over to Patti's Blog and check out her fantastic project!
