Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop - November Ribbon Club
Good morning blogging friends! Today, is the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop for the month of November. The RRR Design Team Members and Special Event Design Team Members will be showcasing the Monthly Ribbon Club.
There is a beautiful assortment of Gold and Silver Ribbons included in the November Monthly Ribbon Club. Click HERE for more details.
If you are following the order of the blog hop you should have just come from Joanna's Blog. If not and you just happened to pop in for a visit please click HERE to start the blog hop at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.
For my project I altered an 8 x 8 canvas creating a beautiful wall hanging for Christmas. I used Graphic 45 Happy Holiday & A Christmas Carol from Christmas Emporium Collection.
I started with a plain white canvas and painted the sides and edges with ECO Green Crafts Black ECO-Friendly Acrylic Paint. While the canvas was drying I started working on the paper design.
I edged the Graphic 45 paper with gold ribbon along the top and side. To adhere the sparkling gold ribbon I used MyStik Adhesive Tape Runner. The adhesive hold the ribbon perfectly in place.
Then I trimmed the image of the family by the Christmas tree and layered it with Simply Smooth Ivory cardstock and then I added the image to the background paper.
I added Baby Bling Red Rhinestones from Want2Scrap and Pralines & Cream Fairy Dust Glitter from Clearsnap to the Christmas tree and I also added glitter to the frame around the image.
Next I added a bow made with the sparkling gold ribbon to the top of the canvas and added a Bo Bunny Father Christmas Trinket.
Here is a close up of the bow and you can even see the sparkle from the ribbon in the picture.
For the bottom corner I added a Prima Holiday Poinsettia and added Amber Rhinestones from Want2Scrap to the center of the flower.
For a finishing touch I added Finesse Swirls White Pearls and Amber Rhinestones to the center of the swirls. I hope you enjoyed my project and it gives you some inspiration to make your own Christmas wall hanging.
Now to continue in the blog hop you need to hop on over to Misty's Blog and check out her fantastic project!
