Craft It Forward Blog Hop

Good morning!! Today, Spellbinders is teaming up with Scrapbooks etc. for the first ever Craft It Forward Blog Hop! If you just happened upon my blog you will want to go back and start from the beginning at the Scrapbook etc. Blog--Click Here. :)

What is Craft It Forward all about:

Craft It Forward is a great way to use your passion for crafting to make a difference in YOUR community.

Here’s how it works: throughout 2011, visit the Craft It Forward website each month for a new downloadable pattern and suggested recipients. Make the project and donate it to a charity that is near and dear to your heart. Then, add your story to the Craft It Forward gallery for a chance to win $500 in cash and a $500 donation to a charity! They’ll be looking for stories to feature in the magazine and on the website, too.

If you are following along on the Blog Hop you should have come from the very talented Kazan Clark.
Here is the card that I designed for the Craft It Forward Blog Hop. The inspiration for this card came from the June project which featured a patriotic card. The image is from Crafty Secrets. I used Stars Five s4-092 and S4-319 Lattice Rectangles die templates from Spellbinders to create the die cuts. Here is a close up of the sparkling stars. After I made the die cuts I inked the stars with Antique Linen and then edged them with Rich Cocoa Ink and then added the glitter.I added a little ink to the ribbon to give it an aged look.
Supplies
Paper: Discount Cardstock
Stamps: Crafty Secrets
Ink: Ranger Antique Linen
Dies: Spellbinders grand Calibur, Stars Five s4-092, S4-319 Lattice Rectangles
Accessories: Want2Scrap White Pearls, Joann's Glitter, Ribbon

  17. Very pretty card, but I don't think OWH will send it. Glitter is dangerous for the troops.
