Hello everyone!  Today, is the first day of the JustRite® Papercraft October New Releases.  I also have some fun news to share--hop on over to the JustRite® Blog to find out about the Big Surprise they are revealing today!  You won't want to miss it! ;-)

JustRite Custom Die JB-04825 Vintage Labels Five Dies

Here is the card that I designed using the CL-04820 Sunflowers Vintage Labels Five Cling Stamps.  This is such a fun stamp set to color!  I used Copic markers and then fussy cut the sunflower image.  I used 3D Foam Squares to add some dimension in between the layers.  Then I die cut the JB-04825 Vintage Labels Five Dies using posh milk chocolate cardstock.  I also used the E3D-004 Basket Weave M-bossabilities folder to create the background and then S5-131 A2 Matting Basics A and S5-132 A2 Matting Basics B to create the matting layers.

Here is a close up of the sunflower image.

These are the Copic markers I used to color the image.

To finish off the card I added some bling.

Please be sure to visit each of the designers in the link list below to see what they have created to share with you.

Don't forget there is still time to get in on the Great Sale at  JustRite® Papercraft!

CAS Birthday Blessings Card

Hello blogging friends!  Today, I have a CAS card to share with you.

Using pattern paper is a great base for a CAS card.  You can let the pattern paper do almost all the work for you and it's so pretty you won't want to cover it up.

I used a pretty die cut shape and stamp the sentiment in the center, added some lace, flowers and pearls and the card was finished.  Quick--easy and CAS!

All of the supplies are listed below.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Paris Canvas Handbag with Dangle Charm

Hello blogging friends!  I know it has been a few days since my last post.  I am still trying to get caught up on things since I was gone for a few days at ScrapFest.  I think my get up and go left me at ScrapFest--LOL--I have been so darn tired the past several days.

Today, I have an altered canvas bag to share with you using some of my favorite products from
Fun Stampers JourneySpellbinders Creative Arts®,  ButterBeeScraps' and  Lavish Laces.  I altered this canvas bag before I went out of town but just didn't have enough time to get it posted before I left.  I created a charm dangle using some of the hatpin bezels from Spellbinders Creative Arts®.  Then I added beautiful lace from Lavish Laces and I did some stamping using images from Fun Stampers Journey.

Here is a close up of the dangle charm.  I die cut several canvas flower shapes using S5-050 Rose Creations die template.  When cutting the canvas I used the Artisan X-plorer and the Artisan X-plorer Metal Shim in with the plates.  This is the sandwich (plates) I used-- A Base Plate on the bottom, place the Spellbinders Artisan X-plorer Metal Shim on it. Add media on top of the metal shim and put Spellbinders die template on top with the cut side facing down. Cover with either Pink Embossing Plate or Raspberry Spacer Plate (depending on thickness of sandwich).  To color the flower I used pink nail polish and white acrylic paint.  Once that was dry I added a top coat of Pure Ice Dazzle Me 1005 nail polish.  For the leaves I used Silver Filigree Embellishment (Item #068-P) from ButterBeeScraps'.  I cut the metal filigree piece and glued them to the back of the flower.  For the flower center I used a MB3-001S Circle Hatpin-Silver.  I cut down the size of the pin and used the Loop Tool to create the loop to hang the charms from.  I filled the bezel with silver glass glitter and  ICE Resin and adhered it to the center of the flower.

Here is a close up so you can see the loop on the MB3-001S Circle Hatpin-Silver.

Here is a close up of the dangle charm.  I used MB3-004S Diamond Hatpin-SilverMD1-014 Diamonds One Die #1MB3-003S Square Hatpin-Silver from Spellbinders Creative Arts® to create the charms.  The images in the bezels are from Piddix.  These are great little images and match the size of the bezels perfectly.  I also used some Blue Moon Beads a division of DCWV and Rhinestone Rondelle Spacer Beads (Item #BD010-P/CL) from ButterBeeScraps' and a piece of rhinestone chain.

I used a couple of stamps from the Love Paris #SS0008 stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey for the images on the canvas bag.  To stamp the images I used StazOn Jet Black ink from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko.  Then I added a rhinestone flourish and I covered the front of the bag with Pure Ice Dazzle Me 1005 nail polish.

For the top of the bag I added some gorgeous Venise White Fancy Fringe Lace Trim from  Lavish Laces.  Then I added some pink Blue Moon Beads a division of DCWV to dangle down from the lace.  To finish off the top of the canvas bag I added some ruffle trim and white rosette trim from Hobby Lobby.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I hope you like my altered Paris canvas handbag with the dangle charm.

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Hello everyone I have some pictures to share from ScrapFest 2013!

It was so much fun getting to meet and work with Jeri and JoAnn from BoBunny!!
They are both fantastic ladies and I hope we can work together again in the future!!

ButtereeScraps' Silver Filigree Ivory Rose Necklace

Hello blogging friends!  I am excited today to be sharing my very first ButterBeeScraps' Design Team project. If you love metal filigree embellishments, hardware, beads, cameos, etc will have to check out ButterBeeScraps'!  So many beautiful pieces and the prices are amazing!!

For my first project I designed a necklace and matching earrings using several of the metal filigree pieces.

Here is a close up of the earrings.  I just love how both pieces turned out.

Here is a picture of all the metal filigree pieces I used.  To create the base for the necklace I used the Silver Filigree Embellishment--Large Oblong (Item #765) and Small Shabby Chic Embellishment Kit--Silver Filigree Embellishment.  I used E6000 to adhere the two pieces together and then I removed the pin stem from a  MB3-001S Circle Hatpin (Silver) from Spellbinders® (not pictured here) and added that to the top.

Here you can see the necklace assembled.  I added silver glass glitter to the inside of the hatpin and then I added the Small Shabby Chic Embellishment Kit-Ivory Resin Rose to the center.  I also added a few rhinestones and pearls to the filigree.

Here is another close up.

Here is a close up of the  Antique Silver Toggle Clasps (Item #CL462-P).  The toggle is so pretty and I didn't want to hide it so I added it to the side of the necklace.

To finish off the necklace I added pearl chain, beads and chain from my stash.

I hope you will hop on over to ButterBeeScraps' and check out all of the fantastic embellishments that Monique has to offer in her store!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Cool2Cast Butterfly in ICE Resin Bezel Necklace

Hello blogging friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I am so excited to share a new product with you today!!  I am sure many of you in the crafting community know the amazingly talented Tiffany Windsor.  She is the founder of the Cool2Craft Network featuring the popular on-line Cool2Craft TV show.  A couple of months back Tiffany launched a brand new product called Cool2Cast™.  Cool2Cast™ is a light wieght casting medium with a porcelian like finish.  It is great for mixed media art, jewelry making and embellishing.  It is very easy to work with--mix with water, shake and pour.  It only takes about an hour and you can pop your Cool2Cast™ pieces out of the silicone molds.  On your finished pieces you can ink it, paint it and stamp it.  The posibilities are endless with Cool2Cast™!

Here is a close up of a necklace I designed.  Check out the beautiful butterfly--it was made with Cool2Cast™ and a silicone mold.

Before I tell you the details for the necklace check out all of the pieces that I made using Cool2Cast™.  I had so much fun making these and I have several projects in the works!

Do you see the butterfly I used for the necklace?

You can click on all of the pictures to enlarge them.

Okay, on to the necklace.

After I popped the butterfly out of the silicone mold I painted it.  Now what I used to paint it might surprise you a little but I have actually used this product for years on jewelry pieces--it's finger nail polish.  Are you surprised?  Years ago I used to make clay jewelry and I couldn't find the kind of paints I wanted to use so I thought why not try nail polish.  It gives the look of enamel, it's easy to use and comes in a large variety of colors.  I used NYC 151 Skyline Blue, Sinful Colors 947 Mint Apple nail polish to paint the base of the butterfly.  Then I used black acrylic paint for all of the details. For a finishing touch I applied Pure Ice Dazzle Me 1005 nail polish over the entire piece.  Then I applied Mod Podge over the entire piece to seal it.  I used one of the MB1-002S Susan Lenart Kazmer for Spellbinders® Media Mixáge™ Squares One Bezel from Spellbinders® and sprinkled  Silver Crushed Glass Glitter and Oceanic Crushed Glass Glitter in the bottom of the bezel.  Then I added Silver Filigree Embellishement #683S-S from ButterBeeScraps'.  I cut the filigree piece in half and placed one piece at the top and the other at the bottom of the bezel.  Then I poured some ICE Resin into the bezel, placed the butterfly on top and added more ICE Resin.

To finish the necklace I attached it to a chain, added some Peacock Seam Binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon and beads from Blue Moon Beads a division of DCWV.

So what do you think?  Would you try Cool2Cast™?  It is so fun and easy to use and I would love to hear your thoughts.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Here is the card that I designed using the Really Reasonable Ribbon September Ribbon Club.  I used the rich brown and deep red ribbons along the bottom of the card to create a ribbon border and used the crochet lace trim on top.

For the sentiment I used a stamp from CR-03885 Grand Sentiments Clear Stamp Set from JustRitePapercraft.  Then I used S5-127 Labels Twenty-Eight and S5-191 Decorative Labels Twenty-Eight die templates to create the die cuts and layers for the card front.  For stamping the sentiment and inking the outer edges of the die cut I used Rich Cocoa and Rhubarb Stalk Memento Inks from Image Crafts/Tsuinkeo.  I also added a couple pieces of bling and WOC Flowers 25mm Cottage Rose 20 pcs Mixed Red from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

To create the distressed foil background I used Spellbinders Premium Craft Foil (copper) and EL-009 Flora M-bossabilites folder and then lightly sanded the embossed areas.  For some added dimension I added 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® in between the die cut layers.

Enjoy the RRR Blog Hop--I know you will find all kinds of inspiration!

Now to continue in the Blog Hop you need to hop on over to Jenn's Blog and check out her fantastic project!
