Love Lace Heart Card

Hello everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  It looks like there is going to be some relief from the heat here in MN over the next few day.  I know I am looking forward to it!  But the heat has been good for the garden.  I think our garden is in overdrive LOL!  Tonight after we went out and picked more veggies I have 34 large tomatoes (that's not including a huge container of cherry tomatoes), cucumbers, zucchini, peppers and 2 gallon bags full of green beans!  I think it's time to start freezing some of the tomatoes.  ;-)

Today, I have a card to share with you using some of the New die templates and embossing folder from Spellbinders®.

Check out the embossed roses!  I think this new ES-016 Cabbage Roses M-bossabilities folder is going to be one of my favorites.  It's so pretty and I love the pattern!

Look at all the detail in this beautiful heart shape.  This is the new die template S5-204 Lace Hearts  by Samantha Walker for Spellbinders®.  The love sentiment is from S5-200 Sentiments.  I used Delicata Golden Glitz ink from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko and I used a brayer over the top of the die template to add the ink and then cut/emboss as usual.  For the Fleur De Lis I used the Mod Podge® Mod Melts White Milk Glass and Mod Molds-Royal Icons from Plaid to make the decorative embellishments.  I also added some Metallic Gold String from Really Reasonable Ribbon around the heart shape.

To finish off the card I added a few pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

Hello Friend Card with Enhancing Elements from Spellbinders®

Hello blogging friends!  Today, I have a card to share with you using the New Enhancing Elements from Spellbinders®.  I have really been enjoying creating projects using the Enhancing Elements.  They are so easy to use, add beautiful embossed details and you can mix and match them with so many of the existing die template sets.

Here is the card that I designed.  I also used the S5-131 A2 Matting Basics A and S5-194 Pearl Effects die templates.  For the paper I used Simply Smooth Ivory and Bronze Metallic.  The metallic papers are great for showing the embossed detail.  I lightly sanded the paper to make the embossing pop even more.

Here you can see a close up of the embossing.  The sentiment is from CR-04405 Enjoy The Day Vintage Labels Four stamp set from JustRite Papercraft.  For embellishments I added some Metal Filigree Flowers from ButterBeeScraps' and a few pearls.

I also wanted to let you know that you still have a chance to get in on a great sale over at JustRite Papercraft--20% OFF All Spellbinders® and JustRite Custom Dies until September 1st!!

With Sympathy Card

Hello!  OMGosh it's another HOT one is MN today!  This heatwave is crazy!  No relief in sight until the weekend.  About the only time I go outside is early in the morning to water the garden and sweep up acorns.  Then again in the evening to pick the veggies in the garden.

Today, I have a sympathy card to share with you.  I made this card for a dear sweet lady who recently passed away.

I think this new embossing folder E3D-013 Persian Splendor from Spellbinders® is so beautiful and elegant.

I used Champagne Metallic cardstock and then I lightly rubbed Memento Angel Pink ink over some of the embossed areas.  The sentiment and flourishes are from CR-03570 With Sympathy stamp set from JustRite Papercraft.

To finish off the card I added some pearls, ivory roses and some ivory lace trim.  All of the supplies are listed and linked below.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

I hope you stay cool in the last few days of the summer heatwave! ;-)

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

You Are The Best CAS Card

Hello everyone!  Today, I have a CAS card to share with you.  Surprise, right LOL!  I know CAS (Clean and Simple) isn't my usual style for cards but I am starting to come around.  ;-)  I think I am going to try and do these a little more.  Believe it or not it really is a challenge for me to do CAS cards/projects.  You all know how much I love embellishments!

All of the solid colored paper is from DiscountCardstock.com and that pretty pattern paper is from the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss 6 x 6 paper pad.  To create all of the die cuts I used die templates from Spellbinders® and they are listed in the link list below.  I used the dictionary text paper for the mat and then I fussy cut three strips of pattern paper to create the banners.  I layered the banners on top of the decorative circle die cut and then I added the die cut with the sentiment.

To finish off the card I added some white crochet lace and baker's twine to the top of the card and a few little sweetheart blossoms next to the sentiment.

I hope you like my CAS card today!  Let me know what you think--would you like to see more?

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hugs & Smiles,
Heidi

More Pictures from the Spellbinders Design Team Retreat (Day 2) and a Project Share

Hello everyone!  Today, I have a few more pictures to share with you from the Spellbinders 2013 Design Team Retreat and I also have a card to share with you.  I made a few collages with the pictures from the retreat so the post wouldn't be so picture heavy.

We had so much fun on the second day of the retreat!  The morning was spent with the Fabulous Julianna Hudigns.  We received goodie bags from Beadalon filled with so many fantastic supplies from the Jewel Loom and jewelry tools to wire.  We also received a wonderful bead tray and it was filled with beautiful beads and charms from Blue Moon Beads a division of DCWV.  Julianna showed how to make jump rings and we all got to make a beautiful bracelet using the Jewel Loom.  Several of us on the Spellbinders DT's also design for Julianna so we thought it would be nice to have a group shot.  L-->R Heidi-Me ;-), Holly Simoni, Judy Hayes, Julianna Hudgins and Lesley Langdon

Here is another group shot of the Blog Team.  In the afternoon we all got to go on a little outing.  We had so much fun going to visit Fun Stampers Journey!  While we were there we got to pick out some stamp sets too.  They have so many fantastic stamp sets it was hard to choose!  ;-)  A Huge Thank You to Richard and Gabby Garay and beautiful ladies at the store!!!

Ok now for the Crazy pictures LOL!!

To finish off Day 2 we had a Nerd Night party!!  Check out some of those outfits!!  We had a blast and it was great seeing everyone all dressed up.

Now for my card.

This is a card I made for my grandpa for his birthday.  I used the E3D-002 Creative Cogs 3D M-Bossabilities™ Folder and some copper foil from the Premium Craft Foils from Spellbinders®.  I lightly sanded the foil to reveal the silver under the copper paint.  I also just SW-04520 All Boy stamp set from JustRite Papercraft.  All of the supplies are listed below.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoy seeing all of the pictures from the retreat and the birthday card.  Have a wonderful weekend!!

Here is another fun one with Sherry Cheever---aka BAD Sherry and Becca!!  Sherry is such a hoot!!  We were roomies for the retreat.

Check out the Spellbinders Blog Team!!  OMGosh I love this picture!!!  Allison Tyler Jones was the photographer and she is Amazing and so much fun!!!  We did the regular photo and then this was the fun one--it was all about Seth!!  L-->R Kim Hupke--Education Manager, Sherry Cheever, Stacey Caron--President and co-creator of the Wizard Die Cutting & Embossing System and Spellbinders Die Templates, Becca Feeken, Debbie Olson, Seth Apter and Heidi Blankenship--me ;-)
